Quotation Marks
There are three ways to use quotation marks!

1. “Today’s homework is about quotation marks,” said Sarah Teacher.

2. Sarah Teacher said, “Today’s homework is about quotation marks.”

3. “Today’s homework is about quotation marks,” Sarah Teacher said, “and I think you

will do well!”

Let’s practice!

Directions: Circle the punctuation marks!

1. “Let’s go,” said Anna, “or we’ll be late!”

2. “Don’t forget your sleeping bag,” Mom said.

3. Jack asked, “What are you doing today?”

Directions: Read the sentence. Write the sentence again with quotation marks.

1. Have a fun time Mom said.
