2. Naruto
Naruto, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi
Kishimoto. It tells the story of Naruto
Uzumaki, an adolescent ninja who searches

story is in two parts, the first set in
Naruto's pre-teen years, and the second
in his teens. The series is based on

Naruto was serialized in Shueisha's

produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex, which broadcast 220 episodes in
Japan from 2002 to 2007; the English adaptation of the series aired
on Cartoon Network from 2005 to 2009. Naruto: Shippuden, a sequel to the
original series, premiered in Japan in 2007, and ended in 2017, after 500
episodes. The English adaptation was broadcast on Disney XD from 2009 to
2011, and then switched to Adult Swim's Toonami block in January 2014.
Besides the anime series, Studio Pierrot has developed eleven movies and

Viz Media licensed the manga and anime for North American production
and serialized Naruto in their digital Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The

adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a
boy whose body gained the
properties of rubber after
unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit.
With his crew of pirates, named
the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy
explores the Grand Line in search of
the world's ultimate treasure known
as "One Piece" in order to become
the next Pirate King.
The manga has been adapted into an original video animation (OVA)
produced by Production I.G in 1998, and an anime series produced by Toei
Animation, which began broadcasting in Japan in 1999. Additionally, Toei has
developed thirteen animated feature films, one OVA and eleven television
specials. Several companies have developed various types of merchandising
such as a trading card game and numerous video games. The manga series was

Fairy Tail, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiro
Mashima. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine from August 2, 2006
to July 26, 2017, with the individual chapters collected and published into
63 tankōbon volumes by Kodansha. The story follows the adventures of
Natsu Dragneel, a teenage wizard (madōshi) who is a member of the popular
wizards' guild Fairy Tail, as he searches for the dragon Igneel.
The manga has been adapted into
an anime series produced by A-1
Pictures, Dentsu Inc., and Satelight, which
began broadcasting in Japan on October
12, 2009. Additionally, A-1 Pictures has
developed seven original video animations
and two animated feature films. The
series ended its initial run on March 30,
2013. A second series premiered on TV
Tokyo on April 5, 2014, and ended on
March 26, 2016. A third series of the
anime series is scheduled to air in 2018.
Fairy Tail was originally licensed for an English language release in North
America by Del Rey Manga, which began releasing the individual volumes on
March 25, 2008 and ended its licensing with the 12th volume release in

6. Nanatsu no taizai (seven deadly sins)
The Seven Deadly Sins, is a Japanese fantasy manga series written and
illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. It has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly
Shōnen Magazine since October 2012, with the chapters collected into
twenty-eight tankōbon volumes as of October 17, 2017. The manga features
a setting similar to the European Middle Ages, with its titular group
of knights representing the seven deadly sins.
As of January 2015, The Seven Deadly Sins had sold over 10 million
copies. It was adapted into a 24-episode anime television series by A-1
Pictures that aired from October 2014 to March 2015. The manga has been
licensed by Kodansha Comics USA for English publication in North America,
while the chapters are released digitally by Crunchyroll in over 170 countries
as they are published in Japan. Netflix acquired the exclusive English
streaming rights for the anime series
while Funimation currently have the home video
rights. A second season of the anime series is
scheduled to air on January 6, 2018. An anime film
is scheduled to premiere in 2018.
The Seven Deadly Sins were once an active
group of knights in the region
of Britannia (Buritania), who disbanded after they
supposedly plotted to overthrow the Liones
Kingdom (Rionesu Ōkoku). Their supposed defeat
came at the hands of the Holy Knights, but rumors
continued to persist that they were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy
Knights staged a coup d'état and captured the king, becoming the new,
tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. The third princess, Elizabeth, then starts

Dragon Ball, is a
Japanese media
franchise created by Akira
Toriyama. The initial manga,
written and illustrated by
Toriyama, was serialized
in Weekly Shōnen Jump from
1984 to 1995, with the 519
individual chapters collected into
42 tankōbon volumes by its
publisher Shueisha. Dragon
Ball was initially inspired by the
classical Chinese novel Journey
to the West. The series follows
the adventures of the
protagonist, Son Goku, from his
childhood through adulthood as
he trains in martial arts and
explores the world in search of the seven orbs known as the Dragon Balls,
which summon a wish-granting dragon when gathered. Along his journey, Goku

The Dragon Ball manga has been adapted into two anime series produced
by Toei Animation: Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, which together were

8. Detective conan
Detective Conan (Meitantei Konan), is an
ongoing Japanese detective manga series
written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. It
was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen
Sundayon January 19, 1994, and has been
collected into 93 tankōbon volumes. Due to
legal considerations with the name Detective
Conan, the English language release was
renamed to Case Closed.[4] The story follows an
amateur detective who was transformed into a
child while investigating a mysterious
organization, and solves a multitude of cases
while impersonating his friend's father and
other characters.
The series received an anime adaptation by Yomiuri Telecasting
Corporationand TMS Entertainment. The anime resulted in animated feature
films, original video animations, video games, audio disc releases and live
action episodes. In 2009, a television special titled Lupin the 3rd vs.
Detective Conan was aired featuring characters from Lupin III.
Funimation licensed the anime series for North American broadcast in
2003 under the name Case Closed with the characters
given Americanized names. The anime premiered on Cartoon Network as part
of their Adult Swimprogramming block but was discontinued due to low
ratings. In March 2013, Funimation began streaming their licensed episodes

Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin), is a Japanese manga series written
and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The series began in Kodansha's Bessatsu
Shōnen Magazineon September 9, 2009, and has been collected into
23 tankōbon volumes as of August 2017. It is set in a world where humanity
lives in cities surrounded by enormous walls; a defense against the Titans,
gigantic humanoids that eat humans seemingly without reason. The story
initially centers on Eren Yeagerand his childhood friends Mikasa
Ackerman and Armin Arlert, who join the military to fight the Titans after
their hometown is invaded and Eren's mother is eaten. However, as the story
progresses and the truths about the Titans are slowly revealed to the
reader, the narrative shifts to encompass Historia Reiss, squad leader Levi,
Eren's father Grisha, and other supporting characters.
The spin-off light
novel series Before the Fall began in
December 2011 and has received a

novel series and four additional spin-

created. An anime television adaptation
is being produced by Wit
Studio and Production I.G, airing in
Japan on MBS. The first season aired
