III. Name the following:


1. Located in municipality of Al-Rayyan with huge walls and high towers.

2. Located in Umm Salal Muhammed town and rectangular in shape.

3. Located in the city of Al Zubarah with high walls and towers are extremely high.
Ans: Al Zubarah Fort
4. Located in the middle of Al Souq district in Doha. It is turned into a museum in
Qatari traditional handicrafts.

IV. Answer the following.

1. What are called antiquities?


Ans: Everything that the ancestors left over such as buildings, properties, tools or
weapons etc. are called antiquities.

2. Name the types of antiquities in Qatar.


Ans: There are two types of antiquities
(a) Stable antiquities
It includes forts, towers, walls, markets, houses and ancient mosques.
(b) Transfered antiquities
It includes Household utensils like pottery and copper, tools used in wars like
swords, spears and shields, ancient coins.

3. Why should we preserve the antiquities?


Ans: Antiquities will help us the following
(a) To learn about a part of our Country’s history.
(b) To learn about the life of our ancestors.
(c) To revitalize the tourism movement in our Country.

V. Stick the pictures of any two archaeological sites in Qatar.
