                                         INTRODUCTION
E-shopping, or online shopping, is the process of purchasing goods or services over the
Internet. It allows consumers to browse and select products from online platforms, add them
to a virtual shopping cart, make electronic payments, and have the items delivered to their
specified address. E-shopping offers convenience, a wide range of products, competitive
pricing, and the ability to shop from anywhere at any time. It has transformed the retail
industry and become a popular way for people to buy products without physically visiting
  stores.
The functionalities of an e-organic store typically include the following:
  1. User Registration and Accounts: Users can create accounts on the e-organic store platform,
providing their personal information, contact details, and preferences. User accounts allow for
personalized experiences, order history tracking, and streamlined future purchases.
  2. Product Catalog: The e-organic store maintains a comprehensive catalog of organic products,
including fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy products, meats, beverages, and more. Each product
listing contains detailed information such as descriptions, prices, nutritional facts, and organic
       certifications.
  3. Search and Filtering: Customers can search for specific organic products using search bars or
apply filters based on categories, brands, dietary preferences, or specific criteria. This feature
helps users find the desired products quickly and efficiently.
  4. Product Details and Reviews: Users can access detailed information about each organic
product, including its origin, farming practices, certifications, ingredients, and customer
reviews. This helps customers make informed decisions and builds trust in the quality of the
       products.
  5. Shopping Cart and Wishlist: Users can add organic products to their shopping cart for purchase
or save them to a wishlist for future reference. The shopping cart allows users to review,
modify, and manage the items before proceeding to checkout.
  6. Secure Checkout and Payment: The e-organic store provides a secure and seamless checkout
process. Customers can enter their shipping address, select a delivery option, and make
payments using various methods, including credit/debit cards, digital wallets, or other secure
       payment gateways.
  7. Order Tracking: Users can track the status of their orders, from processing to shipping and
delivery. This feature provides transparency and allows customers to stay informed about their
       purchases.
  8. Subscription Management: If the e-organic store offers subscription services for regular
deliveries of organic products, users can manage their subscriptions through their accounts.
They can modify subscription preferences, delivery schedules, and product quantities as per
       their requirements.
                                                       7
  9. Discounts and Promotions: The e-organic store may offer special discounts, promotions, or
loyalty programs to incentivize customer engagement and encourage repeat purchases. Users
can view and apply relevant discounts during the checkout process.
  10. Customer Support: The e-organic store provides channels for customer support, such as email,
live chat, or a dedicated helpline. Users can seek assistance regarding product inquiries, order
issues, returns, or any other concerns they may have.
  11. Social Sharing and Integration: The e-organic store may integrate with social media platforms,
allowing users to share product information or reviews with their networks. This feature
enhances the visibility and reach of the store and encourages user engagement.
  12. Delivery Management: The e-organic store manages the logistics of order fulfillment and
delivery. It collaborates with shipping providers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of
organic products to customers' specified addresses.
These functionalities collectively provide an efficient and user-friendly platform for customers
to browse, purchase, and receive organic products conveniently through the e-organic store.
The proposed system for an e-organic store addresses several needs and benefits
associated with the online sale of organic products. Here are some key reasons why the
       proposed system is beneficial:
   1. Convenience: The e-organic store system provides convenience to customers by allowing them
to shop for organic products from the comfort of their homes or anywhere with an internet
connection. They can browse through a wide range of products, compare options, and make
purchases at their own convenience, saving time and effort compared to visiting physical
         stores.
   2. Access to a Wide Range of Organic Products: The e-organic store system offers a comprehensive
catalog of organic products. Customers can explore a diverse range of organic fruits,
vegetables, grains, dairy products, meats, beverages, and more, which may not be easily
available or accessible in their local area. This expands the options available to customers and
allows them to discover new organic products.
   3. Information and Transparency: The proposed system provides detailed product information,
including descriptions, certifications, nutritional facts, and customer reviews. This promotes
transparency and allows customers to make informed decisions about the organic products
they purchase. Customers can access information about the origin of the products, farming
practices used, and any relevant certifications, enhancing trust and confidence in the quality
         of the organic items.
   4. Organic Certification and Assurance: The e-organic store system can ensure that the products
listed and sold on the platform meet specific organic standards and certifications. This
provides customers with the assurance that the products they are purchasing adhere to
                                                       8
organic farming practices, which prioritize sustainability, environmental preservation, and
           reduced chemical usage.
   5. Seamless Shopping Experience: The proposed system streamlines the shopping experience for
customers. It provides features such as search and filtering options, user-friendly interfaces,
secure payment gateways, and order tracking. These features enhance the overall shopping
experience, making it easy and convenient for customers to find and purchase the organic
           products they desire.
   6. Customer Engagement and Loyalty: The e-organic store system can implement promotional
offers, discounts, and loyalty programs to engage customers and encourage repeat
purchases. Special deals, personalized recommendations, and rewards for loyalty can
enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty towards the e-organic store.
   7. Sustainability and Health Consciousness: The proposed system promotes sustainability and
health consciousness by providing access to organic products. Organic farming practices
focus on reducing the use of synthetic chemicals and pesticides, which can have positive
effects on the environment and consumer health. The system encourages customers to
choose organic options, contributing to a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
   8. Customer Support and Feedback: The e-organic store system incorporates customer support
channels where users can seek assistance, ask questions, or address any concerns related to
their orders or products. It also allows customers to provide feedback and reviews, fostering
a sense of engagement and allowing the store to improve its offerings based on customer
           preferences and suggestions.
Overall, the proposed system on e-organic store fulfills the needs for convenience, access to
organic products, information transparency, assurance of organic certifications, a seamless
shopping experience, customer engagement, and sustainability. It caters to the growing
demand for organic products and aligns with the preferences of health-conscious and
           environmentally conscious consumers.
The scope of the proposed system for an e-organic store encompasses various aspects
involved in the online sale of organic products. Here is an overview of the scope of the
    system:
    1. Product Management: The system will include functionalities for managing a
comprehensive catalog of organic products. This includes adding new products,
updating product details, managing inventory levels, and categorizing products for

    2. User Management: The system will support user registration, login, and account
management features. It will allow users to create accounts, update their profiles,
manage their preferences, and track their order history.

management of products through a shopping cart. Users can add products to the

delivery. It will generate shipping labels, coordinate with shipping providers, and
provide tracking information to customers. Delivery options and associated costs
will be managed within the system.

ratings for the organic products they have purchased. It will display these reviews
and ratings to other users, enhancing product transparency and facilitating
    informed decision-making.
8. Promotions and Discounts: The system will support the implementation of
promotional offers, discounts, and loyalty programs. It will allow the management
of discounts, coupon codes, and special deals to attract customers and encourage

to track sales, customer behavior, popular products, and other relevant metrics.
This data will help in making informed business decisions, optimizing inventory
management, and improving the overall customer experience.

email, live chat, or helpline support. It will enable customers to seek assistance, ask

features such as payment processing, shipping providers, inventory management,
    or marketing tools.
It is important to note that the specific scope of the proposed system may vary depending
on the requirements and goals of the e-organic store. The scope can be further refined and
tailored during the development and implementation phases based on the specific needs
of the business and the target market.

3.1 Tools & Environment of Project (Frontend & Backend
Tools)
Wordpress
                                           15
WordPress was released on May 27, 2003, by its founders, American developer Matt
Mullenweg and English developer Mike Little.WordPress Foundation owns WordPress,
WordPress projects, and other related trademarks.
Plugins
WordPress' plugin architecture allows users to extend or depreciate the features and
functionality of a website or blog. As of December 2021, WordPress.org has 59,756
plugins available, each of which offers custom functions and features enabling users to
tailor their sites to their specific needs. However, this does not include the available
premium plugins (approximately 1,500+), which may not be listed in the WordPress.org
repository. These customizations range from search engine optimization (SEO) to client
portals used to display private information to logged-in users, to content management
systems, to content displaying features, such as the addition of widgets and navigation
bars. Not all available plugins are always abreast with the upgrades, and as a result, they
may not function properly or may not function at all.
If the plugin developer has not tested the plugin with the last two major versions of
WordPress, a warning message will be displayed on the plugin directory, informing
users that the plugin may not work properly with the latest WordPress version.[18] Most
plugins are available through WordPress themselves, either via downloading them and
installing the files manually via FTP or through the WordPress dashboard. However,
many third parties offer plugins through their own websites, many of which are paid
packages.

can include personalized product recommendations based on the customer's browsing
and purchase history. This can help reignite their interest in the products and increase
the chances of completing the purchase.
4. Retargeting Ads: Implementing retargeting ads is another effective strategy for cart
abandonment recovery. By using tools like Facebook Pixel or Google Ads
Remarketing, you can display targeted ads to customers who have abandoned their
carts, reminding them of the items they left behind and enticing them to return to
   complete the purchase.
5. Simplified Checkout Process: Make sure your WooCommerce store has a
streamlined and user-friendly checkout process. Complicated or lengthy forms,
unexpected costs, or mandatory account creation can discourage customers from
completing their purchase. Simplify the process by offering guest checkout options,
providing clear and transparent pricing, and minimizing the number of steps required
   to complete the transaction.
6. Exit-Intent Pop-ups: Implementing exit-intent pop-ups on your WooCommerce store
can help capture the attention of customers who are about to leave without making a
purchase. These pop-ups can offer a last-minute incentive, such as a discount or free
shipping, to entice customers to stay and complete their purchase.
7. A/B Testing and Optimization: Continuously test and optimize your cart
abandonment recovery strategies to determine what works best for your specific
audience. Experiment with different email content, subject lines, incentives, and
timings to find the most effective approach for recovering abandoned carts.

 Software Development Life Cycle
The Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a structured approach used to guide the
development and maintenance of software systems. It encompasses a series of phases or
stages that help ensure the successful planning, creation, deployment, and maintenance of
software applications. The common phases of the SDLC include:
1. Requirements Gathering: In this phase, project stakeholders gather and analyze the
requirements for the software. This involves understanding the needs and
expectations of the end-users, identifying functional and non-functional
requirements, and documenting them in a requirements specification document.
2. System Design: The system design phase focuses on creating a high-level design and
architecture for the software. It involves translating the requirements into a
technical blueprint, identifying system components, data structures, interfaces,
and modules. Design decisions regarding technology selection, database design,
and user interfaces are made in this phase.
3. Implementation/Coding: The implementation phase involves writing code based on
the design specifications. Programmers develop and test the software modules,
following coding standards and best practices. This phase also includes unit testing
to ensure individual components function correctly.
4. Testing: The testing phase involves systematically verifying and validating the software
to ensure it meets the defined requirements and performs as intended. Various
types of testing, such as functional testing, integration testing, performance
testing, and user acceptance testing, are conducted to identify and resolve defects
           and ensure software quality.
5. Deployment: Once the software has successfully passed the testing phase, it is
deployed to the production environment. This involves installing and configuring
the software on the target hardware and infrastructure. Data migration, if
applicable, may also occur during this phase.
6. Maintenance: The maintenance phase involves monitoring and supporting the
software after it is deployed. It includes bug fixing, addressing user feedback,
implementing enhancements, and ensuring the software remains up-to-date and
compatible with changing environments. This phase may also involve regular
           updates, patches, and security fixes.
7. While these phases provide a general framework, various SDLC models exist, such as
Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps, which emphasize different approaches to software
                                                 28
development. The selection of an appropriate SDLC model depends on factors
such as project requirements, timeline, team size, and flexibility needs.
4.1Recognition of need
The recognition of the need for an online organic store stems from several factors and
trends in the market:
1. Growing Demand for Organic Products: There has been a significant increase in consumer
awareness and demand for organic products in recent years. Consumers are becoming more
health-conscious and environmentally conscious, seeking organic alternatives that are free
from synthetic chemicals, pesticides, and genetically modified organisms. An online organic
store caters to this growing demand by providing a convenient platform for customers to
access and purchase a wide range of organic products.
2. Limited Availability of Organic Products in Physical Stores: Organic products may not be readily
available or easily accessible in all geographical locations. Physical stores often have limited
shelf space dedicated to organic items, making it challenging for consumers to find a diverse
selection of organic products. An online organic store overcomes this limitation by offering a
comprehensive catalog of organic products that can be accessed and delivered to customers
     across different regions.
3. Convenience and Time Efficiency: Online shopping, in general, offers convenience and time
efficiency. Consumers can browse and purchase products from the comfort of their homes or
on the go, without the need to visit physical stores. This convenience is particularly appealing
to busy individuals or those with limited access to organic stores in their vicinity.
4. Increased Internet Penetration and E-commerce Adoption: The proliferation of internet
connectivity and the widespread adoption of e-commerce platforms have made online
shopping more accessible and popular. Consumers are increasingly comfortable with making
purchases online, including organic products. An online organic store takes advantage of this
trend by providing a dedicated platform for customers to find and buy organic products
     conveniently.
5. Transparency and Information Accessibility: Consumers today value transparency and want to
make informed decisions about the products they purchase. An online organic store can
provide detailed information about the origin, farming practices, certifications, and
nutritional facts of organic products. This transparency builds trust and confidence among
customers, who can make informed choices based on the information provided.
6. Personalization and Recommendations: An online organic store can leverage customer data
and preferences to offer personalized recommendations. By analyzing customers' purchase
history, dietary preferences, and browsing behavior, the store can suggest relevant organic
products that align with their interests. This personalized experience enhances customer
     satisfaction and encourages repeat purchases.
                                                  29
7. Sustainability and Environmental Consciousness: The increasing concern for environmental
sustainability is driving consumers to seek out organic products that are produced using
sustainable and eco-friendly practices. An online organic store can highlight the
environmental benefits of organic farming and connect consumers with suppliers who
prioritize sustainable agriculture. This resonates with environmentally conscious consumers
    and supports their values.
Considering these factors, the recognition of the need for an online organic store arises
from the changing consumer preferences, limited availability of organic products in
physical stores, the convenience of online shopping, transparency and information
accessibility, personalization, and the growing demand for sustainable and
environmentally friendly options.
                                               30
consumer protection regulations. Understanding and adhering to these
requirements is crucial to avoid legal issues and maintain the trust of customers.
      6. Risk Analysis: A comprehensive risk analysis is conducted to identify potential risks
and challenges that may affect the success of the online organic store. This includes
risks such as market competition, supply chain disruptions, technological issues,
cybersecurity threats, and changing consumer trends. Mitigation strategies and
contingency plans are developed to address these risks effectively.
Based on the findings of the feasibility study, a decision can be made regarding the
viability and potential success of the online organic store. The study helps in identifying
potential challenges, assessing the market demand, estimating financial viability, and
understanding the operational requirements. It provides crucial insights for stakeholders
to determine whether to proceed with the project and make informed decisions during
      the development and implementation phases.
                                                  31
4.4 DATA FLOW DIAGRAM
A Data Flow Diagram (DFD) is a visual representation of how data flows within a system. It
shows how data is input, processed, stored, and outputted by processes, external entities, and

   CODING
HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is a markup language used for creating the
structure and content of web pages. It provides a set of tags and elements that define the
different components and layout of a web page.
WordPress, being a popular content management system (CMS), uses HTML as the
foundational structure for its web pages. When you create content or design a web page
in WordPress, it generates the corresponding HTML code to display that content on the
   web.
WordPress uses a combination of pre-defined HTML templates and dynamic content
generated by PHP (a server-side scripting language) to generate the HTML structure of
a web page. The HTML structure in WordPress typically consists of the following
   components:
   1. Theme Templates: WordPress themes define the overall look and layout of a
website. They consist of a collection of HTML templates that determine how
different types of pages (such as the homepage, blog posts, and individual pages) are
displayed. These templates include HTML code mixed with WordPress-specific
template tags and PHP code to generate dynamic content.
                                               36
   2. Content Markup: When you create or edit a post, page, or any other type of content
in WordPress, you use the WordPress editor, which allows you to enter and format
your content. The content you enter is stored in the WordPress database and then
retrieved and displayed on the web page using HTML markup. WordPress converts
your content into HTML, applying appropriate tags and structure to ensure proper
      display and accessibility.
   3. Theme Customization: WordPress provides a built-in theme customization interface
that allows users to modify the appearance and layout of their websites without
directly editing the HTML templates. Users can customize various elements such as
colors, fonts, header/footer, and widget areas through a user-friendly interface.
WordPress generates the necessary HTML and CSS code based on these
customizations to render the website accordingly.
By using HTML as its structure, WordPress ensures compatibility with web standards
and allows for flexibility and customization. It also enables search engines and other
web technologies to interpret and index the content effectively.
It's important to note that while HTML forms the foundation of WordPress websites,
additional technologies like CSS and JavaScript are used to style and add interactivity to
the pages. CSS is used for visual styling, while JavaScript allows for dynamic behavior
and user interactions on the web pages.
4.6. Testing
Testing plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of an online organic
store. Here are some areas that can be tested in an online organic store:
1. Functionality Testing: This involves testing all the core functions of the online store,
such as user registration, product browsing, adding items to the cart, placing orders,
payment processing, order tracking, and account management. It ensures that these
functions work as expected and without any errors.
2. Compatibility Testing: It is essential to test the online store across different web
browsers (such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) and devices (desktop, mobile, and
tablet) to ensure consistent and optimal user experience on various platforms.
3. Usability Testing: Usability testing focuses on evaluating the user-friendliness and ease
of navigation of the online store. It involves testing aspects such as intuitive layout,
clear product categorization, search functionality, checkout process simplicity, and
   overall user satisfaction.
4. Performance Testing: Performance testing aims to determine how well the online store
performs under different conditions, such as heavy user traffic. It involves testing
aspects like page load times, server response times, handling concurrent user requests,
and assessing the scalability of the system.
5. Security Testing: Security is of utmost importance in an online store to protect user data
and financial transactions. Security testing includes checking for vulnerabilities like
                                               37
SQL injection, cross-site scripting, secure data transmission (HTTPS), and
authentication mechanisms to ensure the safety and integrity of the system.
6. Mobile App Testing: If the online organic store has a mobile app, it is crucial to conduct
testing specific to mobile platforms. This includes testing app installation, user interface
responsiveness, compatibility across various devices and operating systems, push
notifications, and integration with device features (e.g., camera for scanning barcodes).
7. Integration Testing: Online organic stores often integrate with third-party systems or
APIs for features like payment gateways, inventory management, or shipping services.
Integration testing ensures seamless communication and data exchange between the
online store and these external systems.
8. Accessibility Testing: Accessibility testing focuses on ensuring that the online store is
accessible to users with disabilities. It involves testing features such as screen reader
compatibility, keyboard navigation, color contrast, and alternative text for images to
    comply with accessibility standards.
9. Stress Testing: Stress testing involves subjecting the online store to high user loads or
extreme conditions to assess its stability and performance limits. It helps identify
bottlenecks, potential failures, and the ability of the system to handle peak traffic.
10. Regression Testing: Regression testing is performed whenever changes or updates are
made to the online store to ensure that existing functionalities are not affected by the
updates. It involves retesting previously tested scenarios to validate that no new bugs or
    issues have been introduced.
Testing should be performed throughout the development lifecycle, from the initial
stages to post-launch updates, to ensure a robust and reliable online organic store that
   delivers an excellent user experience.
                                                38

                                        39
lead to customer dissatisfaction if the actual product does not meet their
     expectations.
    2. Shipping and Logistics: E-organic stores often face challenges related to
shipping and logistics, especially when dealing with perishable organic products.
Maintaining the freshness and quality of organic goods during transportation can
be a complex process, requiring specialized packaging and delivery methods.
    3. Trust and Credibility: Building trust and credibility in an e-organic store can be
challenging, as customers may have concerns about the authenticity of organic
certifications, the sourcing of products, and the overall transparency of the supply
chain. Establishing strong trust factors and providing transparent information is
     crucial to overcome these limitations.
    4. Limited Local Reach: E-organic stores may have limitations in reaching
customers in remote or rural areas, where internet connectivity and access to
online shopping platforms may be limited. This can restrict the customer base and
impact the overall growth potential of the store.
    5. Pricing and Competition: Pricing can be a challenge in e-commerce, as
customers have the ability to compare prices across different platforms.
Maintaining competitive pricing while ensuring the quality of organic products
can be a balancing act for e-organic stores.
                                          40
options, and supporting organic farmers practicing regenerative agriculture.
Communicating and promoting these sustainable practices can attract
environmentally conscious customers and align with their values.
6. Community Engagement and Education: Engaging with the organic community
through educational resources, blogs, social media, and forums can help build a
loyal customer base. Providing educational content on organic farming practices,
benefits of organic products, and healthy living can create a sense of community
   and foster long-term customer relationships.
