Daily Lesson Plan
Name: Nour Al Zahra’a Fouani.
Class: KG3
Theme one: Look at Us!
Lesson: Circle time.
Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
1. Identify the concepts of the opening routines (Days,
months, weather, attendance…etc.)
Day one:
A. Circle time: ( 25 mins)
The teacher will tell the students that everyday we are going to
sit on the carpet and talk together. We call this time “circle time”.
Calendar: news reporter: the teacher will show them a picture of a
news reporter. Who knows this character? Have you seen him on the tv
before? She will listen to their answers.
After that, she will point on the calendar and she will tell them that we
will report what does a calendar tell us.
Then, she will bring out a microphone and ask them “who knows how
many days are in a week? What are they?” (students are going to act
as If they are a news reporter) after they recall the days of the week,
the teacher will ask them to jump 7 times while saying them.
Same step for the months of the year, and they will clap their hands 12
times while they are saying them.
Moreover, the teacher will ask the students to count how many
numbers they see on the calendar. She will explain that each month has
30 or 31 days.
After that, she will ask them to guess what is today? She will listen to
the answers and then give the correct answer. Same step for the
month, and the year. Therefore, she will write the full date on the
board.
Weather: the teacher will ask them how many seasons are in a year?
After they give answers, she will sing with them “in autumn the leaves
fall fall fall….” Then she will ask: what season do you think we are in?
look at the season bulletin board, what do you deduce? What do we do
in autumn season? Then they will demonstrate the fall of the leaves
and raking them.
Then she will play the song of “how’s the weather?” and ask them to
look outside the window to identify the weather.
Day two:
the teacher will play the good morning song and she will ask the
students to apply the actions. Then she will play the “hello, hello, how
are you?” after that she will ask them “how do you feel today?”
then, she will ask them about the calendar, “what do the calendar tell
us? How many days are in a week? Can you say them? let us sing them!
same step for months of the year. Moreover, she will ask them about
the day they are in today, and month, and the year. They will clap the
days of the month too. After that she will ask them to help her to
write the date on the board.
Then, she will ask them to tell her how is the weather today? How did
you know? What can we do in a…… weather? How many seasons are in
the year? Let’s sing them. In which season are we? What happens in
this season? They will act as if they are in autumn season: leaves are
falling down, farmer is raking the leaves, picking up apples…etc. at the
end, they will sing the autumn song.
Also, the teacher will ask them to look at the alphabet letters. She will
ask: what are these? What can we do with letters? How many letters
do we have in English? Let us count them. let us sing them. okay now let
us say each letter and stomp our feet, clap your hands, jump…etc.
Day three
the teacher will play the good morning song and she will ask the
students to apply the actions. Then she will play the “hello, hello, how
are you?” after that she will ask them “how do you feel today?”
then, she will ask them about the calendar, “what do the calendar tell
us? How many days are in a week? Can you say them? let us sing them!
same step for months of the year. Moreover, she will ask them about
the day they are in today, and month, and the year. They will clap the
days of the month too. After that she will ask them to help her to
write the date on the board.
Then, she will ask them to tell her how is the weather today? How did

the year? Let’s sing them. In which season are we? What happens in
this season? Then they will print their hands on a big tree. Using the
colors: red, yellow, brown, and orange. Moreover, they will sing the
autumn song too.
ABC activity: they will sit in groups, and the teacher will give them eggs
puzzles (Capital letter and lowercase letter), they have to join them
quickly. The group that finish first wins.
