To our parents/guardians, given the current situation, wherein pupils are not able to attend the classroom classes, we at (San Jose School of
La Trinidad, Inc.-Elementary Department), would like to ask your help in facilitating your child’s continuous learning in your home. We have

INTRODUCTION
What I Need to Know
This Module is good for one week. We have to understand that this module is for Kindergarten level. Close monitoring and
guidance from their parents, as their facilitator, is needed. It is to guide the facilitator and the child to learn important things about themselves. It
contains lessons on Science: sense of smell, Mathematics: set, phonological awareness in English, and Alpabeto in Filipino.
At the end of this module, we should be able to:
a. acknowledge that God made our nose to smell;
b. identify the sense of smell;
c. segment several parts of oral language; and
d. distinguish set.

What is It
LET’S LEARN! “Sense of Smell”
God gave us a nose for us to smell things. It helps us know the
things that smell pleasant or things that smell unpleasant.
Here are some things that have Pleasant Smell. A pleasant smell gives us the feeling of happiness or comfort.
Here are some things that have Unpleasant Smell. An unpleasant smell gives us the feeling of irritation or discomfort.

LET’S LEARN 3: “Phonological Awareness”
Phonological Awareness – prepares us for reading - by playing with words, rhymes and syllables
we hear in everyday speech.
Let us learn through games!
Game # 1: Segmenting Sounds Game # 2: Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down for
Sounding out like a robot might sound silly, but fun! Beginning Sounds
To the parent/guardian: To the parent/guardian: Say two words and let the
kids determine if the initial sound is the same.
What to do? To the child, do the following:
Pretend that you are a robot. We are going to talk like a Thumbs up – when the beginning sounds of both word
