AN ENEMY - DEFEATING ARMY
Ephesians 6 : 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when
the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and
after you have done everything, to stand
Kaya't isuot ninyo ang kasuotang pandigma na mula sa Diyos. Sa
gayon, makalalaban kayo kapag dumating ang masamang araw na
sumalakay ang kaaway, upang pagkatapos ng labanan ay matatag
pa rin kayong nakatayo.
TExt: Ephesian 6:10-18
Title: A Victorious Army/warrior of Christ.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full
armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s
schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the
rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and
against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on
the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to
stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand
firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the
breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the
readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take
up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of
the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which
is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and
requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the
Lord’s people.
Bilang pagwawakas, magpakatibay kayo sa kalakasang galing sa
Panginoon at sa kanyang dakilang kapangyarihan. 11Gamitin Kar.
5:17. ninyo ang lahat ng kagamitan at sandatang pandigma na
kaloob ng Diyos, upang mapaglabanan ninyo ang mga pakana ng
diyablo. 12Sapagkat hindi tayo nakikipaglaban sa mga tao, kundi sa
mga pinuno, sa mga maykapangyarihan, at sa mga tagapamahala
ng kadilimang umiiral sa sanlibutang ito—ang mga hukbong
espirituwal ng kasamaan sa himpapawid. 13Kaya't isuot ninyo ang
kasuotang pandigma na mula sa Diyos. Sa gayon, makalalaban
kayo kapag dumating ang masamang araw na sumalakay ang
kaaway, upang pagkatapos ng labanan ay matatag pa rin kayong
nakatayo.
14Kaya't Isa. 11:5; Isa. 59:17. Kar. 5:18-23. maging handa kayo. Ibigkis sa
inyong baywang ang sinturon ng katotohanan, at isuot sa dibdib ang
baluti ng katuwiran; 15isuot Isa. 52:7. ninyo ang sandalyas ng pagiging
handa sa pangangaral ng Magandang Balita ng kapayapaan. 16Lagi
ninyong gawing panangga ang pananampalataya, na siyang
papatay sa lahat ng nagliliyab na palaso ng diyablo. 17Isuot Isa.
59:17. ninyo ang helmet ng kaligtasan, at gamitin ang tabak ng
Espiritu, na walang iba kundi ang Salita ng Diyos. 18Ang lahat ng
ito'y gawin ninyo na may panalangin at pagsamo. Manalangin kayo
sa lahat ng pagkakataon, sa patnubay ng Espiritu. Lagi kayong
maging handa, at patuloy na ipanalangin ang lahat ng hinirang ng
Diyos.
Objective:
1. Let the believers/ brethren know who are their
enemies.Understand the scheme/attack of the enemy.
2. Encourege us to Be strong on the LOrd.
3. To let the believers be prepared to defend our self, family,
friends and our faith against the scheme of the enemy. By putting
the full armour of GOD.
Introduction:
The moment we accepted Jesus as our Lord and saviour in our
lives, we declares war against satan. Nang tanggapin po natin ang
Panginoon Hesus sa buhay natin, nagdeklara na po tayo ng
digmaan kay Satan. NAniniwala po ba tayo dito. Please say AMen
po kung nag- aaggree po tayo. Tapikin po natin ang ating nasa
kanan sabihin natin, Kapatid ito na ang simula ng laban. Sa kaliwa
naman sabihin natin. OO kapatid nakahanda na ako. Amen.
Isang malakas na palakpak po sa ating Diyos na buhay.
Tunay nga po na ang mundong ito ang ating battle ground at
lahat po tayo ay nasa battle field. Sa bibliya malimit po
nailalarawan na ang Christian life ay battle against sin and satan.
At tayo ang sundalo ng ating Panginoon in the battle what we so
called spiritual warfare.
2Timoteo 2;3-4
3Makibahagi ka sa hirap tulad ng isang mabuting kawal ni Cristo
Jesus. 4Ang isang kawal ay hindi nagiging abala sa mga bagay na
walang kaugnayan sa pagiging kawal; sa halip, sinisikap niyang
mabigyan ng kasiyahan ang kanyang pinuno.
Pero paano nga po tayo magiging mananagumpay ng ating
Panginoong Hesus. Bago tayo sumabak sa labanan napakahalaga
na handa tayo. Walang sundalo na sasabak sa labanan ng hindi
naghanda, walang sundalong sasabak sa labanan ng walang bala.
Amen po. Sa atin po teksto na pag- aaralan ngayong umaga ay
may tatlong (3) mahahalagang puntos akong nakita kung paano
tayo magiging isang victorious army of God/Christ.
1. KNOW YOUR ENEMY- KIlalanin mo kung sino ang iyong
kaaway
WHO IS OUR ENEMY? (Sinu nga ba ang ating kaaway)
Ephesians 6 : 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of
this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the
heavenly realms.
Sapagkat hindi tayo nakikipaglaban sa mga tao, kundi sa mga
pinuno, sa mga maykapangyarihan, at sa mga tagapamahala ng
kadilimang umiiral sa sanlibutang ito—ang mga hukbong espirituwal
ng kasamaan sa himpapawid.
Halimbawa:
*struggle tayo sa anak na hindi marunong
makinig/palasagot/matigas ang ulo at hindi marunong gumalang.
*Beyanan /manugang na di makasundo
*marites na kapitbahay
*pasaway na member/or pasaway na leader- meron po ba? Jowk
lang po.
-Laging po nating tatandaan di po sila ang kaaway natin kundi ang
ispiritung nanahan sa kanila. Sabi nga Hate the sin but love the
sinner
- Ano pwedeng gawin, pwede po natin icast out ung evil spirit na
nanahan at umaalipin sa ating kapwa or mahal sa buhay , dahil sabi
ni LORD ay in my name you can cast out demon
Marcos 16:17
17Ang mga sumasampalataya ay bibigyan ng kapangyarihang
gumawa ng mga himala: sa pangalan ko'y magpapalayas sila ng
mga demonyo at magsasalita ng iba't ibang wika.
Kasama sa pagkilala natin sa kaaway ay dapat alam din natin
kung paano ito umatake.
HOW THE ENEMY ATTACK (Paano umatake ang kaaway)
1 Peter 5 : 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls
around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Maging handa kayo at magbantay. Ang diyablo, ang kaaway ninyo ay
parang leong umaatungal at aali-aligid na naghahanap ng masisila.
It also like a thief (John 10:10) they come to Steal, to kill and to
Destroy
Satan is real. Just under the surface of our everyday interactions, hiding in
the shadows, clouded in mystery and confusion, the devil works to
undermine what God is doing in us and through us.
Angels, demons, spiritual warfare — they all exist, but we don't have to
live in fear of the supernatural. God has given us a powerful weapon
against temptation and accusation. He has given us His Word, the Bible,
to remind us who He is, who we are, and what is true.
HOW TO DEFEND FROM ENEMY (Paano naten popotriktahan at
ipagtatanggol ang ating sarili sa kaaway)
2. Put the FULL AMOUR OF GOD
Kelangan nating isuot at gamitin ang mga Sandatang Kaloob ng
Diyos (The Full Armor of GOD) EPHESIANS 6 ; 14-17
14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your

your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel

1. BELT OF TRUTH- Sinturon ng KATOTOHANAN (Ephesian 6:14)
The first piece of armor Paul discusses is the belt of truth.
14Kaya't Isa. 11:5; Isa. 59:17. Kar. 5:18-23. maging handa kayo. Ibigkis sa
inyong baywang ang sinturon ng katotohanan,
Bakit kaya sa lahat ng armour of God nauna ang belt of truth?

1. DAhil ang KATOTOHANAN ay bigkis na siyang naghohold sa iba
pang piraso ng armor para ito ay manatili sa kanyang lugar.
2. Dahil ang sinturon ng katotohanan ay ang katotohanan ng salita ng
Diyos na maaring mag- oppose sa kasinungalingan ni Satan.
3. God’s Word is truth, and it serves as our foundation .
John 8 : 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you
free.”
John 14 : 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the
life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Ano yung mga great truth sa nasulat sa Bibliya
A. The love of God
B. Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ
C. The second coming
D. Forgiveness of sin
E. Grace and power to live for Jesus
LAhat ng katotohanang ito ay babangga sa kasinungalian ni Satan
para paniwalain tayo na tayo ay makasalanan , naliligaw at wala ng
pag- asa pa.
B. Ano pa ang hinohold together ng belt of truth?
*our personal commitment to truth- to living a life that is upright,
transparent and without deceit. Which is very important in christian
life
2. BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS- Baluti ng kat
The second piece of the armor of God that Paul discusses in Ephesians
6 is the breastplate of righteousness.
at isuot sa dibdib ang baluti ng katuwiran;
Sa baluti ng isang sundalong Romano, ang baluti sa dibdib ay nagsilbing
proteksiyon sa ilan sa pinakamahahalagang bahagi ng katawan.
Kawikaan 4:23
23Ang puso mo'y ingatang mabuti at alagaan,
pagkat iyan ang siyang bukal ng buhay mong tinataglay.
Sa ilalim ng breastplate ay ang puso, baga at iba pang organ na kailangan
para sa buhay. Samakatuwid, kung ang isang sundalo ay hindi magsuot ng
kanyang baluti sa dibdib, siya ay mahina sa isang pag-atake na maaaring
magresulta sa agarang kamatayan.
Ang baluti ang nagcocover ng puso natin . It protects us from Satan
accusation and charges.
Breastplate of righteousness is entirely the righteousness of Jesus which he
has given to us freely when we accept Him as Lord and saviour.
So, why does Paul call it the breastplate of righteousness? If we do not
protect ourselves with righteousness, we open ourselves up to attack from
the enemy and can fall into sin.
To be righteous means to obey God’s commandments and live in a way
that is honorable to Him . Psalm 106:3 says, “How blessed are those who
keep justice, who practice righteousness at all times!”
How can we put on the breastplate of righteousness? We can start by
being knowledgeable of God’s Word, which will allow us to understand how
to live a righteous life. When trials and temptation come our way, we can
base our decisions in His Word.
3. FEET FITTED WITH THE READINESS-sandalyas ng pagiging handa
sa pangangaral ng Magandang Balita ng kapayapaan./ Shoes of the
Gospel
The third piece of the armor of God in Ephesians 6, Paul tells us to stand
firm with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of
peace.
Ephesian 6:15
15isuot Isa. 52:7. ninyo ang sandalyas ng pagiging handa sa
pangangaral ng Magandang Balita ng kapayapaan.
It may seem strange to consider shoes to be part of your armor, but can
you imagine going to battle shoeless? You would most likely be in pain with
every step, as you pass over all kinds of harsh landscape. Ultimately, it
would inhibit your ability to fight.
Ang salitang kahandaan ay nagpapahiwatig ng patuloy na
pagbabantay. Ang isang matagumpay na sundalo ay kailangang
maging handa para sa labanan. Kinailangan niyang pinag-aralan
ang diskarte ng kanyang kaaway, maging kumpiyansa sa sarili
niyang diskarte, at matatag na nakatayo ang kanyang mga paa
upang maging matibay ang kanyang sarili kapag dumating ang
mga pag-atake.
Bilang karagdagan sa pagtayo ng ating lupa, ang mga sapatos
ay para din sa paggalaw. Inaasahan ng Diyos na magpapatuloy
tayo sa opensiba at dalhin ang ebanghelyo ng kapayapaan sa
iba. Sinasabi ng 1 Pedro 3:15 , “Laging maging handa sa
pagsagot sa lahat ng humihiling sa inyo na ibigay ang
dahilan ng pag-asa na mayroon kayo.” Ang pagbabahagi ng
ating pananampalataya ay isa sa mga pinakamahusay na paraan
upang mapanatili ang ating sariling tiyak na katayuan. Alam
ng Diyos na, kapag tayo ay aktibo sa pagsasalita tungkol sa
Kanya sa iba, hindi lamang tayo pumapasok sa teritoryo ni
Satanas, ngunit mas malalim nating hinuhukay ang ating mga
sapatos sa katotohanan at magiging mas mahirap alisin.
4. SHIELD OF FAITH
The fourth piece of armor Paul discusses in Ephesians 6 is the shield of
faith.
Ephesian 6:16
16Lagi ninyong gawing panangga ang pananampalataya, na siyang
papatay sa lahat ng nagliliyab na palaso ng diyablo.What does it mean
to have faith, and how can this be related to a shield?
As Christians, the faith we have in Christ is based in reality. Romans 1:20
says,
20Mula Kar. 13:1-9; Ecc. 17:8. pa nang likhain ng Diyos ang sanlibutan,
ang kanyang likas na hindi nakikita, ang kanyang kapangyarihang
walang hanggan at ang kanyang pagka-Diyos, ay maliwanag na
inihahayag ng kanyang mga ginawa. Kaya't wala na silang
maidadahilan pa.
Kahit na hindi natin pisikal na nakikita ang Diyos,
ipinakita Niya ang Kanyang sarili sa pamamagitan ng
paglikha. Samakatuwid, ang ating pananampalataya sa Kanya
ay nakabatay sa katotohanang ito.
Kung tayo ay may pananampalataya kay Kristo, ito ay
makakaimpluwensya sa paraan ng ating pamumuhay. Ang ating
pananampalataya ay maaaring mag-ingat sa atin sa panahon ng
mga pagsubok sa parehong paraan na isang kalasag sa panahon
ng labanan. Halimbawa, kapag ang pagdududa ay pumasok at
ang ating mga paniniwala ay kinuwestiyon, ang ating
pananampalataya kay Kristo ay magpoprotekta sa atin. Maaari
tayong manindigan nang matatag sa pag-alam kung ano ang
ating pinaniniwalaan.
In addition, our faith can protect us when we experience anxiety and fear.
Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed,
for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with
my righteous hand.” If we have faith in God’s promises, we do not need to
fear.
It is important to realize that doubt, fear and anxiety are attacks from the
enemy. Taking up the shield of faith will protect us and allow us to fight
back against these attacks.
In addition, as the body of Christ, we can help each other to grow stronger
in our faith by living in community.
Remember that when we put our faith in Christ, we are unstoppable.
Hebrews 11 : 6
6Kung hindi tayo sumasampalataya sa Diyos, hindi natin siya
mabibigyang kaluguran, sapagkat ang sinumang lumalapit sa Diyos
ay dapat sumampalatayang may Diyos na nagbibigay ng gantimpala
sa mga nananalig sa kanya.
5. HELMET OF SALVATION-Helmet ng kaligtasan
The helmet of salvation is another part of the armor of God that Paul
discusses in Ephesians 6:17
17Isuot Isa. 59:17. ninyo ang helmet ng kaligtasan,
In the Roman army, the helmet served as protection for the head. It was a
vital piece of the armor, as an attack to the head could result in instant
death.
What is Salvation?
The helmet protects the head—perhaps the most vital part of the body since it is the seat of
thought and the mind. When we have a sure knowledge of our salvation, we will not be
moved by Satan’s deceptions. When we are certain that we are in Christ with our sins
forgiven, we will have a peace that nothing can disturb.
Can we be certain of our salvation? Can we be sure?
Yes. “If we confess our sins, He [Jesus] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). “God has given us eternal life, and this life
is in His Son. He who has the Son has life” (1 John 5:11, 12).
As Christians, we are not to be of this world. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not
conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his
good, pleasing and perfect will.”
When we put on the helmet of salvation, we can avoid sinful thoughts and
understand what is good and true. When we forget to do this, we are
susceptible to thoughts that are planted in us by the enemy, who seeks to
harm our walk with Christ.
6. SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
at gamitin ang tabak ng Espiritu, na walang iba kundi ang Salita ng
Diyos.
The sixth piece of armor that Paul discusses in Ephesians 6 is the sword of
the spirit, which represents the Word of God .
For a Roman soldier, the sword served as an offensive weapon against
enemies. When sharpened, the sword could pierce through just about
anything, making it a very dangerous tool.
To understand the connection between the sword and the Word of God, it
is first important to understand the power of God’s Word. Hebrews 4:12
says, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-
edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and
marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
In addition, the sword of the spirit is unique in that it can be used as both a
defensive and offensive tool. While God’s Word can protect us from the lies
of the enemy, it can also counter attacks. For example, Jesus used God’s
Word as an offensive weapon in Matthew 4 when Satan tried to test Him in
the wilderness.
So, how can we use the sword of the spirit in our lives? We are not meant
to keep the knowledge we gain from God’s Word to ourselves. When we
are asked to defend what we believe, we can use God’s Word to point back
to Him.
Sometimes, it is not easy to take up our swords and fight against the
enemy. However, we are not called to do this by our own strength. When
facing trials, we can find peace in knowing that God is on our side. Romans
8:31 says, “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is
for us, who can be against us?”
