Narrator: (Addressing the audience) In the town of Nazareth, a young woman named
Mary was visited by an angel named Gabriel.
Gabriel: (Approaches Mary, with a gentle voice) Hail, Mary, full of grace! The Lord is
with you. Do not be afraid, for you have found favor with God.
Mary: (Startled but filled with wonder) Who are you, and what is this message you
bring?
Gabriel: I am Gabriel, messenger of the Most High. You will conceive and bear a son,
and you shall call him Jesus.
Mary: (In awe) How can this be, since I am a virgin?
Gabriel: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will
overshadow you. The child will be called the Son of God.
(Scene ends with Gabriel's exit.)
Scene #: Mary's Visit to Elizabeth
(Narrator and Mary on stage. Mary visits her relative Elizabeth.)
Narrator: Filled with faith and trust in the angel's message, Mary set out to visit her
relative, Elizabeth, who was also with child.
Mary: (entering Elizabeth's home) Elizabeth!
Elizabeth: (joyously) Mary! Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of
your womb! For the moment your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb
leaped for joy!
(As Mary and Elizabeth greet each other with warmth and joy. their unborn children
seem to communicate, recognizing the divine connection between them.)
Scene #: Joseph's Dream
(Narrator and Joseph on stage.)
Narrator: Meanwhile, in Nazareth, Joseph, Mary's betrothed, had a dream.
[Joseph, Mary's fiancé, paces restlessly in his home, grappling with the news of Mary's
pregnancy.]
Joseph: (in deep thought)
[That night, as Joseph sleeps, an angel of the Lord appears to him in a dream.]
Angel of the Lord: (gentle and reassuring) Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take
Mary as your wife, for what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth
to a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
[Joseph awakens, enlightened and filled with purpose.]
Scene #: The Journey to Bethlehem
(Mary and Joseph on stage, traveling to Bethlehem.)
Narrator: Following the decree from Caesar Augustus, Mary and Joseph embarked on a
journey to Bethlehem, Joseph's ancestral town.
(Scene shows the couple's journey, with Mary riding a donkey.)
Scene #: The Inn in Bethlehem
(Mary and Joseph at the inn, knocking on the door.)
Innkeeper: (Shaking his head) I'm sorry, but there's no room in the inn. Every room is
full.
(Joseph looks disappointed.)
Innkeeper: However, you can stay in the stable out back. It's not much, but it's dry and
warm.
(Mary and Joseph thank the innkeeper and head to the stable.)
Scene #: The Birth of Jesus
(Mary and Joseph in the stable. Mary is holding the baby Jesus.)
Narrator: In that humble stable, Mary gave birth to her firstborn son, wrapped him in
swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger.
(They are joined by shepherds, who have been visited by an angel.)
Shepherds: (Kneeling) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those
with whom he is pleased!
Scene #: The Visit of the Wise Men
(Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus in the stable. Wise Men approach.)
Narrator: In a distant land, wise men known as the Magi had seen a star, a sign of the
birth of a king.
(Wise Men offer gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.)
Scene #: Herod's Plan
(Herod in his palace, speaking to his advisors.)
Herod: (Angrily) Tell me, where is this child who has been born King of the Jews?
(Advisors inform Herod of the prophecies and the Magi's journey.)
Herod: (Plotting) Find the child, so I may also go and worship him.
(Scene ends with Herod's devious intentions.)
Narrator: And so, the story of the Nativity of Jesus unfolds, a tale of hope, faith, and the
birth of a Savior who would change the world forever.
