COPPER BUILDING WIRE

Copper THHN/THWN-2

APPLICATION: INSULATION:
Copper THHN/THWN-2 conductors are primarily used in • Heat and moisture resistant colored polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
conduit and cable trays, when approved, for services, feeders insulation, with a clear nylon (polyamide) or UL-listed equal
and branch circuits in commercial or industrial applications as jacket, which provides abrasion resistance
specified in the National Electric Code. THHN applications are
suitable for use in dry locations only at temperatures not to STANDARDS:
exceed 90°C. THHN-2 applications are suitable for use in either
• UL 83
wet or dry applications, with temperatures that do not exceed
• UL VW-1
90°C.
• Size 1/0 & larger suitable for cable tray use
• MTW per UL 1063
CONDUCTORS: • ASTM B1, B3, B8
• Either solid or stranded soft drawn copper, per ASTM • Federal Spec A-A-59544
