The Tamil Nadu government issued an order providing an ad-hoc pay increase to employees receiving consolidated pay, fixed pay, or honorariums. Employees earning up to Rs. 600 per month received a Rs. 20 increase, while those above Rs. 600 received Rs. 40 more. This increase was effective from July 1, 2011, in addition to the previous increase from January 1, 2011 mentioned in an earlier order. The order applies to local body and rural development employees as well. Arrears for July to September 2011 must be paid immediately.

***** ORDER: In the Government Order first read above, the Government sanctioned an ad-hoc increase in the Consolidated Pay / Fixed Pay / Honorarium with effect from 01.01.2011 at the rate of Rs.20/- per month in respect of those drawing revised Consolidated Pay / Fixed Pay / Honorarium up to Rs.600/- per month and at the rate of Rs.40/- per month in respect of those drawing revised Consolidated Pay / Fixed Pay / Honorarium of above Rs.600/- per month. 2. In the Government Order second read above, orders were issued enhancing the Dearness Allowance payable to Government employees on regular time scales of pay with effect from 01.07.2011. Government has therefore, decided to grant ad-hoc increase to those drawing revised Consolidated Pay / Fixed Pay / Honorarium with effect from 01.07.2011. Accordingly, Government direct that employees drawing revised Consolidated Pay / Fixed Pay / Honorarium be allowed another ad-hoc increase with effect from 01.07.2011 as detailed below:For those drawing revised Consolidated Pay / Fixed Pay / Honorarium upto Rs.600/- per month from 01.01.2006 For those drawing revised Consolidated Pay / Fixed Pay / Honorarium above Rs.600/- per month from 01.01.2006

3. The arrears of ad-hoc increase for the months August and September, 2011 shall be paid in cash immediately.
