Surat Ash-Sharĥ

 ‫سورة‬
‫الح‬
( The Relief )
َ َ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ
‫ ْح لك َص ْد َرك‬ ‫أ ن‬ ‫َو َو َض ْع َنا َعنك ِوز َرك‬
Sahih International Sahih International

Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], And We removed from you your burden
your breast?

Which had weighed upon your back

And raised high for you your repute.

So when you have finished [your duties],


then stand up [for worship].

And to your Lord direct [your] longing.

By the morning brightness

Sahih International

And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,

œٰ ‫َما َو د َعك َر •بك َو َما ق‬
Sahih International

Your Lord has not taken leave of you,


[O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].

ُ¡ ْ َ َ  ْ َ ُ ¨ ْ َ
ٰ َ ¢‫ا‬
Ž‫و‬ ‫ ٌ¦ لك ِمن‬¥ ‫َول© ِخ َرة خ‬
Sahih International

And the Hereafter is better for you


than the first [life].

‫ولسوف يع ِط‬
Sahih International

And your Lord is going to give you,


and you will be satisfied.

‫ى ًما ف َآو ٰى‬¥ ‫ ِ–¶ ْدك َي ِت‬¥ ْ ‫أ‬
Sahih International

Did He not find you an orphan and


give [you] refuge?

And He found you lost and guided [you],

And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].
