TF Pah It was alexander Granam born in Scotiand in 1 hen Alexander Graham Bell was a boy, he was interested in sound because of his family. His mother was a musician « bbut was deaf (hearing impaired). His father taught deaf people to speak. When Alexander was 23, the Bells decided to move to the United States. While they were living in Boston, Alexander started a school for the deaf and then became a professor at Alexander Boston University. While he was Grahom Bal teaching, he met Mabel Hubbard, one of his deaf students, Bell married Mabel five years later. Bell loved to invent things. One day, he got an idea. He thought: I can use electricity to send the human voice from one place to another. He started to work om this idea with his assistant Thomas Watson. They rented rooms in a house. Bell was on one floor and Watson on another. ‘They tried to send words to each other. One day Bell was working on the invention when he spilled some acid on his clothes. Watson suddenly heard the words: “Mr. Watson, come here. I want you,” and ran to Bell's room. It was March 19, 1876, and these became the memorable words of the worl’s first telephone cal Bell soon became very wealthy but continued to teach the deaf to speak. He also started the National Geographic magazine because he believed the best way to learn was through pictures. Millions of people now have phones because of Bel. ‘Then in April 1973, Dr. Martin Cooper made the first call ‘on a cell phone and today there are millions of cell phones because of Dr. Cooper.
