Aspiring Biomedical Engineers Guide

The document discusses the path to becoming a biomedical engineer. It recommends focusing on programming and medicine-engineering concepts in the first two years of an electrical and computer engineering degree. The third and fourth years should focus on biology related to biomedical engineering. Students can then take the GATE exam to gain admission to IIT for a master's in biomedical engineering, where they will have placement opportunities.

So You Want to Become a Biomedical

Engineer
This new course from IEEEx is presented to you by University of California San Diego
(UCSD) in collaboration with the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, the
world’s largest international society of biomedical engineers. The organization’s 11,000
members reside in some 97 countries around the world. EMBS provides its members
with access to the people, practices, information, ideas and opinions that are shaping
one of the fastest growing fields in science.

1st and 2nd year of ECE - Focus on programming and concepts in relation with
medicine and engineering (Get certificate from courses of swayam and
freecodecamp.org)
