The graduands’ procession, organized per programme and School,

led by the School Banner Bearer, moves in procession to the
Graduation Pavilion

All invited guests take their seats at the Graduation

Prelude entertainment commences at the Graduation Square

The Chancellor and University Council members arrive and are

received by the Vice-Chancellor and members of University

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY

The Dean, School of Business and Economics; Dean, School of Pure and
Applied Sciences will rise and present their candidates for the conferment
of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Embu. As
the Deans read out the names and the titles of their study, the candidate
should walk towards the dais escorted by his/her supervisors and kneel
before the Chancellor.

The Chancellor will then cap the graduand.

The Graduand will then bow/curtsy and remain standing until the
conferment of the degree.

to observe the Nurses’ Code of Ethics and Conduct.
I shall faithfully practice my profession in accordance with the laid
down laws and regulations as provided for in the Nurses Act Cap. 257
of the Laws of Kenya
I shall abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous and shall
not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug.
I shall do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my
profession.
I shall hold in confidence all personal matters committed to me and all
family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling.
