through the Reformation until the present. Dr. G.M Bilkes is our speaker. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Dear FRC congregation: Two times most weeks--on Wednesdays and
Fridays from 12:30 to 1:05 p.m.--a student at Puritan Reformed Seminary speaks a practice sermon. The speaking students would deeply appreciate it if more people would attend the sermon practice so that it would feel more like a real "preaching" event. You can help our students by attending, and your own soul may benefit in the process. Please join us, if you are able for these 30-35 minute sermons at 12:30 p.m. on the following dates: October 12, 14, 19; November 2, 9, 16, 18. Please circle these dates on your calendar. Warmly, Pastor Beeke The congregation is invited to witness the marriage of Betsy Prince and Jordan Timmer in our church sanctuary on Saturday, October 15 at 4 PM. Dr Gerald Bilkes will conduct the marriage. May the Lord bless you, Betsy and Jordan, as you begin your married life together. Dorcas Guild News: The wrapped empty boxes for Operation Christmas Child are in the narthex ready to be filled by the congregation.

~ Mission Update ~
The ultimate goal of doing mission work is to establish churches that are able to stand on their own two feet as it were. While that is still quite a few years down the road in Cubulco, we have made moves in that direction. A Regional Committee is currently in place and this represents all the churches in Cubulco and the surrounding Aldeas. The men of this committee meet and give direction to the activities in the various churches, one of which is the choosing of a pastor. They have shown a level of maturity by recognizing that one minister who had been coming for some time was not giving proper and consistent biblical instruction so he was not invited to return. Meanwhile other ministers have been coming who have preached the gospel and ministered to the needs of the churches. And now we have heard that they have called pastor Xicara who was also installed recently. Please pray for these men that they can effectively bring the Gospel to the sheep of the Lord Jesus Christ in Cubulco and regions. ~ From The Consistory ~
Visitors, welcome. We hope you are blessed through worshiping with us. May God be worshipped acceptably under His Word today. Dr. David Murray will conduct our services today. The Sunday School/catechism classes (Beginners 7th grade) Psalter of the month is # 317: 1, 2. Next Sunday, Dr. Jerry Bilkes will lead our services, the Lord willing. Today and next Sunday Pastor Bilkes plans to preach for Abbotsford FRC and at Dundas FRC for one service on October 23. He will then be attending committee meetings held on October 24 27 and returning to Grand Rapids with Jane; all the Lord willing. At their November meeting the consistory will, the Lord willing, be considering the callable FRC ministers as they seek the Lords will with respect to calling a pastor to minister to our congregation. The consistory earnestly covets your prayers that clarity would be given in this most important consideration. On October 31 at 7:30 PM we are planning a combined worship service with the Heritage Netherlands Reformed Congregation at their Crescent Street building to remember Gods providence preserving His church
