The Funny Goat

The sun shone brightly.


Goaty, the funny goat was playing in the long grass.
Goaty hopped along happily.
Suddenly, he landed on something very sharp.
‘Ouchh!, he shouted, ‘My foot, my foot!’

When Goaty looked closely he saw a big needle in his foot.


He started to cry, ‘Oh, dear, what shall I do?’
He sobbed.

Just then Goaty heard a noise in the grass.


‘I’ve lost one of my needles,’ a little voice heard.

A fat grasshopper appeared.


‘Have you seen one of my needles?
He asked Goaty.

The grasshopper pulled the needle from

‘Thank you,’ said Goaty.
‘I’ll be more careful when I walk’.
