一、 上课时间:周日 10:30-12:30

二、课程内容:学术阅读与写作+语法+读书分享

 学术阅读:美国中小学语文教材 Journeys
 -Lesson9 How Chipmunk Got His Stripes
 -lesson10 Jellies The life of Jellyfish
 -lesson11 Click, Clack, Moo Cows that type
 -lesson12 Violet’s Music

每学期完成 4 个单元学习,每一个单元包含新单词学习与运用、故

事精读与深入讨论;课前学生需提前查阅生单词与课文;课堂内,

引导学生精读课程重点章节,并就课文内容展开讨论,引导孩子进

行深入思考,培养孩子们批判性阅读能力。

 写作要求: 每四周一次作文要求,包括 :

 Use sense words in a description (在描述性文章中使用感官词

 Use onomatopoeia(使用象声词)

 Write autobiography(如何写自传/结构)

 Write details in autobiography (自传中添加细节)

学生需运用所学单词和句型,练习不同英文题材写作,并交

由老师修改;老师会针对每次写作给出点评和指导。

 语法学习:
 More plural nouns(更多复数名词)

 More proper nouns(更多专有名词)

 Pronouns and verbs(代词和动词/第三人称单数形式)

 Forming the past tense(动词过去式)

 读书分享:每个星期要求学生在家看一本书,并写读书分享,老

师会轮流安排学生做读书报告分享,读书报告分享以演讲的形式

三、进阶测试:每个学期期末,安排孩子进行 Star Reading 阅读水

平测试,根据测试结果升班进阶。

四、课后配合:

 课后听读:每天保证在家 20 分钟听读,并在群内打卡;

 家长配合:希望家长们能继续做孩子学习的支持者,每天保证孩

子在家听读二十分钟,阅读半个小时以上;

 家长观课:每学期家长三次观课的机会,学期前、中、后期各一

次,家长可提前预约。

Academic Reading and Writing


1. Class Time:Saturday 08:15 am - 10:15 am

Reading and Sharing

 Academic Reading: Journeys

Each semester, will need to complete 4 units of learning. Each unit

includes the learning and application of new words, intensive reading and

in-depth discussion of stories. Student are responsible for looking up new

vocabularies and texts before class. In class, students will be guided to

read the key chapters of the course in an intensive manner, and discuss

the content of the text. Students will be guided to think deeply and

develop their critical reading ability.

 Academic Writing: Every other four week essay requirements

 Use sense words in a description (在描述性文章中使用感官词

Students need to use the words they have learned to practice writing

on different English topics. Teacher will need to modify, give comments

and instructions on each piece of writing.

 Reading and Sharing

Students are required to read a book and write a book

share at home each week. The teacher will need to ask

the student to do a book share in class by the form of

speech.

3. Upgrading test:

At the end of each semester, students need to take a test from Star

Reading. Students will be promoted according to the test results.

4. Task after class

 Listen and Read outside class: Student is responsible to read

and listen at least 20 minutes a day at home and also need to clock

in on Wechat group.

 Parents’ responsibility: Parents should be the back support of

students’ study. Parents need to make sure you kid read at least 30

minus and read out loud for 20 minus every day.

 Parents’ public class: Parents will have three times each semester

to join the class and watch. At beginning, middle and end of


semester parents can make an appointment in advance.
