Important Instructions:
1. Use the AutoCAD template file and save it as Your Complete Roll No (e.g. 102103301.dwg) on DESKTOP of
your system. Submit the .dwg file in the submission portal.
2. All Questions are compulsory.
Attempt the questions within the designated boxes in the AutoCAD template file.
3. All dimensions in figures 1 to 3 are in mm. Assume missing data, if any, suitably.
4, Keep on PERIODICALLY SAVING the AutoCAD file in order to avoid any inadvertent loss of data.
5. Uploading of the .dwg File MUST be completed before the end of the exam session (i.e. 3.00 pm).
The files not uploaded within the stipulated time shall not be considered for evaluation.
Q.1 A line AB, 80 mm long is parallel to V.P. and inclined to H.P. Point A is 20 mm below H.P. and (10)
point B is 25 mm above H.P. The line is 40 mm behind V.P. (i) Draw the Front view and Top
view of the line. (ii) Find the angle of inclination of the line with H.P. Mention the value of the
angle as separate typed text, in addition to the dimensioning. (iii) Mark and label the front
view and top view of the point of intersection of the line with H.P.

Q.2 There are two poles with different heights as shown in Fig. 1. The different dimensions of the (15)
poles with respect to the vertical and horizontal planes are also given in Fig 1. The poles are
perpendicular to HP and the points P and Q are connected with a wire. The shortest distance
of point P from the XY line is 50 mm. Find (i) distance of point Q from VP. (ii) height of the
shorter pole (through P). (iii) Length of elevation/front view of line PQ.
(The poles and the wire may be treated as lines for the projections).
