INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATE

SECTION A

Answer all questions. Each question carries 10 marks

SECTION B

Answer all questions. Each question carries 10 marks.

SECTION C

(i) Question 1 is compulsory, and it carries 10 marks.

(ii) Answer any ONE question out of the remaining TWO questions. The question
carries 20 marks.

ALL DIMENSIONS ARE IN mm.

SECTION A

QUESTION 1

A triangle has two sides 100m and 80mm. The included angle is 40°. Draw the
triangle and construct the circle which will touch all three sides of the triangle.

QUESTION 2

Draw the casting shown in fig 31 full size. Construction lines must be clear.

SECTION B

QUESTION 1
(a) Make a fully dimensioned Drawing in Third Angle projection of the bearing
shown in fig 2. The two holes have a diameter of 30mm. [20]

(b) Draw the projection symbol [5]

Use scale 1:1

Fig 3 shows an outside front elevation and an outside plan of a simple bearing.
Draw, in first angle orthographic
projection, the

of the bearing:
