How to

Start crocheting the main piece following the Coat Diagram.

Use this table as a guide to know how many stitches you
need when you finish each row.

You'll notice that this is the same pattern we used to make

the shirt. By simply changing the hook and the yarn, we can
create a completely different garment.

When you finish the base of the coat, crochet the sleeves
by adding new yarn as we saw in Lesson 3 of Unit 3.

Hood
Add yarn to the other side of the 5th stitch in the starting chain for the coat and crochet the
hood.

Add new yarn to the 5th stitch in the starting chain.

Sleeves
Add yarn at the arm hole created by the chain stitches and distribute 16 single crochet
stitches.

Crochet 14 rows of 16 single crochet stitches and 1 row with 16 slip stitches. Fasten off and hide
the loose ends.

Make the second sleeve by repeating this process on the other side.
