RICE COOKING PROCEDURES
Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 45 Minutes
Yield: One Container
Shelf Life: 4 Hours. Rice must be discarded after 4 hours
Storage: Keep hot on the hot food table (Holding temperature must be between 63℃ and 67℃)
Tools/Equipment Needed: Gather the following cleaned and sanitized tools and equipment
    •    2-Quart measuring cup
    •    80 mL measuring cup
    •    Strainer
    •    Scale
    •    Teaspoon
    •    Wooden spoon
    •    Rice Cooker
    •    1/2 Size food pan with lid
    •    Date label

    •    Vegetable Broth
    •    Salted Butter
    •    Sea Salt
    •    Water

                                     Full Batch Cooking Procedures for Basmati Rice
              Step 1. Place the empty 2-Quart                                Step 2. Fill up the cup with 800 gr

This rule must be always followed to render a very quality product and avoid potential food safety concerns.

                                         IMPORTANT NOTES
    Wooden or plastic utensils must be used to protect the Teflon coating of inner pot from scratches when
    stirring or transferring cooked rice to hot food pan. Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to
    clean the inner pan.
    Make sure bottom of the cooking pot is not bent or warped, or it will not conduct heat correctly. It
    will affect the quality of cooked rice.
    Cook only in a removable cooking pot. Never place water or food directly into the base.

                         RICE COOKER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the
following:
    •    Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Use potholders when removing hot containers.
         To protect against a risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or base in water or other
         liquid.
    •    Unplug from outlet when not in use. Unplug and allow to cool before putting on or taking off
         parts, and before cleaning.
    •    Do not operate any appliance with a damaged supply cord or plug or after the appliance
         malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
    •    Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or touch hot surfaces, including the
         stove.
    •    Do not place on or near a hot gas or an electric burner or in a heated oven.
    •    Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil, food, water, or other
         hot liquids.
    •    To disconnect, press CANCEL (); then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
    •    Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
    •    Lift and open cover carefully to avoid scalding and allow water to drip into the cooker.
    •    Do not place the unit directly under cabinets when operating as this product produces large
         amounts of steam. Avoid reaching over the product when operating.
