Mammals are animals that are warm-

Your Skeleton
Everyone has a skeleton. There is one inside of you.
Many bones make up a skeleton. Your skeleton gives
you shape. Because of your bones, you are shaped
like other people. There are 206 bones in your
skeleton. Not all of your bones are the same. Most of
them are hard. A few of them are soft. Some bones
are big. Other bones are small. You have flat bones
and round bones. Your bones grow as you grow.
When your bones get longer, you get taller. Your
bones help you. They help you to run and jump.

Words That Sound the Same
To, two, and too are three little words. They
sound the same.
Do they look the same? They all start with t.
They all end with o. But they are not the same.
They look a little different. How are they
different?
Do they mean the same thing? No, they
mean different things. To means toward or
until. Two is a number. Too means also or very.

To, two, and too are homophones. Homophones are words that sound the
same. But homophones look different from each other, and they mean different
things. Be and bee are also homophones. So are son and sun. Can you think of

Trips on Tracks
Trains are made of many big cars. The cars
are connected. Trains run along tracks. Trains
take things to many places. They take people to
many places too.
Many trains go from city to city. They may
stop in small towns too. They can travel very
far. Some go across a country. Some go
through deserts. Some run in the mountains.
Some trains move very fast. Some go well over
150 miles an hour.

Some trains move people within a city. Many of these trains are subways.
Most subway tracks run under the ground. Other trains have tracks that run
above the streets.
