Introduction
On July 14, 2015, it was announced that Briana Jungwirth was pregnant with Louis Tomlinson’s
baby. The news set off a wave of confusion from One Direction fans, memes, and tabloid gossip.
But almost immediately, fans began to notice that things weren’t adding up.

What is babygate?
Babygate is the theory that Louis Tomlinson is NOT the father of Briana Jungwirth’s supposed
son, Freddie Reign.

There’s a huge misconception that all 1D fans are preteens and teens. It couldn’t be further from
the truth. Fandom is full of grown adults, many with children of their own. The most bothersome
part of babygate is the lack of reliance on reality and science. It’s built on smoke and mirrors,
where headlines and social media comments claiming Freddie is Louis’ “mini me” are given
more weight than actual science, such as a DNA test. When fans point out these inconsistencies,
they are attacked by the media as well as other fans as “delusional” or “crazy” for simply
wondering why there seems to have been no DNA test. This document aims to explain why
people think Louis is not the father of Freddie, even eight years after the announcement.

One thing that this document will not address is the “why” of babygate. If you are in the fandom,
you may have some ideas. There’s certainly a history of boyband members being forced into
situations for various reasons (further reading: here and here). Without knowing what goes on
behind the scenes or seeing things like contracts, it’s hard to say why babygate became a thing. It
started around the time Zayn left One Direction and has continued through 1D’s hiatus and into
Louis’ solo career. It is also important to note, Louis was the only member of 1D still signed to
Syco, the label established by Simon Cowell (now disbanded). While you could probably write a
novel on all the possible “whys” of babygate, that is not the focus here. But, it may be helpful to
read this post about contracts from the various Syco programs that Simon Cowell has been
involved with, especially this leaked contract from America’s Got Talent that basically lets them
do what they want with your image - whether “factual or fictional”. If this is something potential
auditioners are signing, imagine what the contract for a boybander in a band potentially worth a
billion dollars is like. From section B.1 Name and Likeness:
It’s important to stress that the things that have happened over the course of babygate could not
have happened via just one person’s actions alone. When looking at the big picture, it’s clear
there is media involvement, Syco PR involvement that seems counter to the best interests of their
client, lawyers who seem to act against the best interests of their client, etc. When you look at the
contract above and combine it with actions that seem completely against what you would expect,
it becomes clear that there may be larger forces at work in all this.

The Main Things to Know

This document is lengthy and goes into all the various facets of babygate. But, if you read
nothing else, these are the only two things that you need to know:

1. At a time when Briana was supposedly 8 months pregnant, she was photographed at a
Christmas dinner and her baby bump was missing. Baby bumps just don’t disappear. Her
own mother posted a picture around the same time of her in a dress with a large
protruding belly (below) as one might expect from someone that far along in pregnancy.
Two weeks later, they also posted a picture of a large pregnant belly (this time headless,
but claiming to be Briana. Note that the person is sitting and their belly is clearly sticking
out). So where did the belly go at the dinner table? To paraphrase from the late Johnnie
Cochran, “If there was no bump, they didn’t hump.”
2. There seems to have been no DNA test done. A multimillionaire who was not dating
Briana never got a DNA test because he didn’t “need” one. Yes, that’s as crazy as it
sounds. Louis’ reps were asked about an article circulating that said he was not going to
get a DNA test done and instead of confirming or denying he’d had one, they said, “It’s
all just part of the never ending media speculation.” Huh? Sorry, but this is about your
client forking over potentially millions of dollars to someone who has claimed to have his
baby without verifying his actual paternity. You’d think you could merit a better
response. Has he had one? People who believe this is all legit assume he has. People who
think this is fake point out that neither Louis nor his reps have ever said he’s taken a
DNA test despite there being a large portion of people who think Freddie is not his son -
so much so that the media has put out articles on the topic.

Where is the huge 8 month belly? It should be protruding in front of her, especially because she’s
seated.

3. The Sonogram is from a fertility clinic.

Why are these the only real things you need to know about babygate? If Briana was never
pregnant, all of this is a moot point. People can compare pictures of Louis as a baby to Freddie as
a baby, the media can write articles about Freddie being Louis’ mini me, but if Briana was never
pregnant, it doesn’t matter. The whole thing falls apart.

Secondly, the easiest way to stop all the speculation about Freddie’s paternity would have been
to state clearly and unequivocally that Louis had a DNA test and it proved without a doubt he
was the father of Freddie. That hasn’t happened. Ever. And you have to ask why. If he and
Briana are so bothered that people are calling Freddie’s paternity into question and it’s a topic
that won’t go away, even after four years of media and fan speculation, why has he or his
management or PR team never put the matter to rest? Once and for all. Celebrities and even
regular folks take DNA tests to prove paternity. There is nothing shameful about double
checking that you are indeed the father of a child, especially when your net worth is estimated to
be around $85 million.

So, if Briana wasn’t pregnant and Louis isn’t the father, who are Freddie’s parents? Many people
think Brett, Briana’s stepdad, and Tammi, her mother, had Freddie via a surrogate (Tammi is
50+ and was not pregnant during babygate) and that they are the actual parents of Freddie. This
would explain why Freddie is always with them and seems most comfortable with them (and
would also explain the headless pregnancy shots). This theory is discussed later on in this
document in more detail.

Briana’s sonogram being from a fertility clinic supports this theory. The mother of an “oopsie
baby” doesn’t go to a fertility clinic to get a sonogram. Fertility clinics are specifically for people
having fertility issues. Briana did not have fertility issues if she supposedly got knocked up after
hanging out a few times with Louis. However, the use of a fertility clinic for a sonogram DOES
support the theory that Freddie was the product of a surrogate (which is the going theory – that
Tammy and Brett are the actual parents of Freddie and they used a surrogate – since neither
Tammy nor Briana actually appear to have been pregnant at the time.

So, that’s babygate in a nutshell. Maybe that’s enough to convince you that Freddie isn’t Louis’
son or at least get you asking some questions. Or maybe you think this is all some wacky
conspiracy theory. That’s fine. But, if you really want your mind blown, read on.

2. The Setup - From Boyfriend to Party Boy

To really understand how odd babygate is, you have to know a little bit about 1D history and
Louis’ role as part of One Direction. A key thing to note about Louis is that from approximately
2011-2012, Louis as “the boyfriend” became part of his selling point. It was even noted on the
1D3D movie slides that were part of the infamous Sony leak. The slides were a summary of
keywords that described each member of One Direction’s personality and style with a fake quote
from a fan to show how fans were supposed to view each member. The slides emphasized each
guy’s unique selling point and these portrayals weren’t necessarily the most accurate or
flattering, but they were how they wanted each guy to be viewed. Harry Styles, for example, was
labeled “adorably slow” - a backhanded compliment if I’ve ever heard one.

Louis’ main selling point was that he was unavailable because he had a “supermodel girlfriend”.
It should be noted that Louis’ girlfriend at the time was not a model and definitely not a
supermodel. She was a college student in Manchester, but I digress. That relationship became a
fixture of the One Direction era with multiple paparazzi setups - so many that fans joked that
Louis and Eleanor had their own photographer devoted to taking pictures of them.
The marketing of a boyband member as “unavailable” is an interesting concept and one that was
not really seen in earlier boybands. Early era boybands actually had to hide girlfriends so as to
give the illusion of availability to their female fans. In Louis’ case, he was sold as the perfect
boyfriend that fans would “have no chance” with. This document will not focus on why Louis
was sold as unavailable (again, for those in fandom, you may have some ideas), but his long-
term “relationship” with Eleanor was a mainstay throughout almost the entirety of One
Direction’s career, which made the ensuing turn of events even more interesting.

Just before Zayn left the band, there seemed to be rumblings of Louis becoming “party boy
Louis”. In 2014, a video of Louis and Zayn smoking pot was leaked. At the end of March 2015,
Louis was photographed kissing a girl (in the most awkward pool kiss ever - his hands were
balled into fists during the kiss). It was announced that he and Eleanor had been broken up weeks
prior. April 2015 brought a series of articles about Louis out clubbing and bringing different girls
back to his hotel room. The articles described wild nights partying and even the “morning after”
walks of shame, noting the girls hiding their faces as Louis walked out with a big smile on his
face.

Louis, the formerly “loyal” sweet boyfriend seemed to be going off the rails with girl after girl.
In retrospect, this was a clear setup for what would follow in May 2015 - nights of partying with
Briana and her cousin and the eventual “conception”.

What’s strange is that a tumblr user who claimed to work in PR had foreshadowed this turn of
events years prior. They did a post about how easy it would be to rebrand the One Direction guys
with different narratives. The example they used for Louis was “Louis as Womanizer”.
Coincidence or foreshadowing? We’ll never know as the user disappeared and no longer posts on
that account.

With Louis’ image successfully altered from loyal boyfriend to party boy, the stage was set for
the immaculate conception.

3. The Immaculate Conception

It should be noted that Louis was photographed with Briana and her cousin Ashley in late
February. This would have been right at the start of the Party Boy Louis era. But remember,
pool girl and all the London club girls would have been in between February and May. This is
only important to note because some tabloids have said Louis and Briana dated for a long period
of time and that it was “very serious” - hence why he wouldn’t feel the need to get a DNA test -
but this simply isn’t the case. Louis was spotted with several different girls and was supposed to
be with Eleanor prior to their first breakup.

On May 4, Louis arrived in Los Angeles (x). Louis was then photographed out with Briana on May 5, May
7, May 9, May 11, and May 15. There is also video of Ashley and Briana with two of Louis’ friends in the
house Louis rented from Justin Bieber from May 22.

So, using this timeline, Briana would have got pregnant somewhere between May 5 and May 22.

On December 24, 2015, Briana’s mother responded on Instagram to people asking about Briana’s
pregnancy by saying that she was 34 weeks pregnant to the day. Pregnancy weeks are calculated from
the first day of your last menstrual period, which using the dates provided by Tammi, would be April 30,
2015. Assuming a normal cycle, Briana would likely have been ovulating May 12 to May 16.
The most likely dates of conception would be either the May 11 Snoop Dog party or the club outing
Louis and Briana attended or May 15. Why do these dates matter if I don’t think the pregnancy is real?

Well, at the May 11 Snoop Dog party, a paparazzi taking pictures of Louis said, “This one’s for the Sun.”
It’s key to note that The Sun is not a popular media publication in the US like it is in the UK so it would
be odd for a member of the Sun to even think that was worth mentioning or to even be there. He even
says “give me a big UK smile” (the photographer seems American). But even more intriguing is that the
pictures taken that night were later used for the baby announcement in….you guessed it - The Sun!

They must have had some psychics working that night who knew Briana would get pregnant THAT
NIGHT and conveniently, they would be able to use that picture for their cover story announcing the
news with the headline “One Conception”.

Using these dates, it would make her due date the end of February if you use May 11 as the conception
date (if you use date of last period of April 30, the due date would have been February 4).

On June 3, Louis took Briana and Ashley to meet Eli the Chimp from the Steal My Girl One Direction
video. Fans later speculated that this would have been the time Briana would have supposedly told
Louis she was pregnant. She would have been around a week late on getting her period (using the chart
above).

With Briana now “pregnant”, fans still had no idea what was to come.
4. It’s Not Real
On June 27, 2015 (a little over two weeks BEFORE the announcement that Louis was a dad),
One Direction performed in Helsinki, Finland. During the concert, Liam and Louis discussed a
toy baby doll that somehow appeared on stage.

Louis: “What’s this baby doing here?”

Liam: Who’s thrown their baby on stage? That’s outrageous!”

Louis: “It’s not real!”

Liam: “Oh no. It’s a fake baby. It’s fake.”

Louis: “It’s not real! It’s not real.”

 Liam: That is for all those people out there who think that was a real baby.”

At the time, it just seemed like odd stage banter. After the announcement that Louis was going to
be a father, people looked back at this moment as a possible warning of what was to come and a
hint that the whole thing was fake. Fans noted that no fans ever “claimed” the baby as having
been an item they threw on stage and there didn’t appear to be any writing on the doll (fans often
put their Twitter/Tumblr handles on items thrown on stage). No one saw the doll being thrown
on stage either.

Why would Louis, who by this point knew he was going to be a dad, make such odd stage banter
about a baby not being real and being a “fake baby”?

 5 - The Announcement

And there’s that picture for the Sun that was taken on the supposed night of conception!
The pregnancy was announced on July 14, 2015 - just 75 days from the date of her last period (i.e., the
pregnancy weeks start date), which is not even the end of the first trimester. Most moms are told not to
announce before the end of the first trimester in case the worst should happen, so announcing so early
seemed not only risky, it seemed unnecessary. This was seen as highly unusual. Briana could have gone
her entire pregnancy without anyone even knowing. She wasn’t famous and she wasn’t a long-term
girlfriend that fans even knew anything about. Instead, it was announced in a highly publicly way in The
Sun.

At the time, curious fans noted that the exclusive article was written by the husband of Syco’s Head of
PR, Ann-Marie Thompson-a curious linkage. Her husband, Peter Samson, was the US Editor at The Sun
and broke the first babygate news. How lucky.

Fans have noted Ann-Marie was also head of Syco’s Crisis Management team during One Direction and
operated as lead staff psychologist, which seems interesting - having your PR person also operating as
psychologist. It should be noted that Ann-Marie was also apparently the personal assistant of celebrity
publicist and Simon Cowell’s friend, Max Clifford, who was put in prison for sexually abusing teenagers.
More information on this cast of characters is here. All in all, there’s a lot of strange connections
between Syco, The Sun, and babygate. You would think someone in PR would have maybe thought
announcing a celebrity oopsie baby with a non-famous person before the end of the first trimester
would be bad for their client…but hey, it was good for her husband to get that exclusive!

The article does note Briana is around 11 weeks pregnant. Again, what was the rush to tell the world,
especially since subsequent articles talked about how Briana was getting online hate. Why expose her to
that so early? Or at all? In the same article, her stepdad Brett says the news was supposed to come out
the following week and that it was a surprise to them. This seems to be a later edit to the article to
address the early announcement that fans had highlighted, but even still - what was the rush to
announce?
In general, celebrity oopsie babies are not reported, sometimes for years! The mothers often get paid
off and quietly disappear. Briana’s name was mentioned in every single headline, which, due to her non
celebrity status is more than unusual.

Every outlet seemed excited to report on the fan reactions to the news. Also, unlike many baby
announcements, this one was fun of articles full of jokes and memes - the article about Eleanor’s pain at
hearing the news was full of One Direction baby memes including a manip photo of Harry Styles
pregnant.

The article noted that Briana was a “very private person” - so, why announce her name to the world?
And also said her and Louis had enjoyed spending the last few months out of the public eye…except we
got a billion photos of them in May and then even in June with Eli the Chimp that they posted on their
own social media! Louis went out to eat with Briana’s family on July 2 and Tammi posted the pictures of
Louis and Austin on her social media. For people about to be involved in a huge baby announcement,
they weren’t exactly being very private about it. Again, if Briana was so private - why post to social
media at all? When the picture of Louis and Austin started circulating in fandom, fans didn’t even know
who Louis was posting with or what was to come because the baby news hadn’t dropped yet.
On July 15, the day after the baby news dropped, Danny Fitzgerald, the ex-stepdad of Briana Jungwirth
for 10 years, confirmed to BuzzFeed News that his former stepdaughter was pregnant. His proof was a
hilarious set of text messages between him and his former wife, Tammi. He not only refers to his former
stepdaughter by first and last name as well as namedropping Louis and One Direction so there can be no
question who is being talked about, but he doesn’t even spell Briana’s name right! (What is it with
Tammi falling for guys who can’t spell?).
Another interesting thing to note: There was one little tidbit of news that came about a month after this
big announcement. On August 23, 2015, E! News reported that 1D would be taking an extended hiatus
beginning in March 2016.

Luckily, with Louis’ baby due right before that, fans would have plenty to keep them busy.

6. The Fam
Not since the Clampetts have we seen a family better suited to a rags-to-riches Hollywood baby
mama drama. How do we know so much about these people? Well, after babygate was
announced, we got an endless data dump of info about the family - even randoms like Briana’s
dad’s new wife. In case you’re having trouble keeping everyone straight, here’s the list of the
main players. This will become more important as we delve into domain name purchases and
suspicious resemblances.
Briana, the “baby mama” appears to have been a very average California party girl prior to
babygate. Her dad is Joe Jungwirth and her mom is Tammi Clark. In early articles, they claim
she is a private person, yet she’s all over social media back then and posted pics of herself and
Freddie frequently. She recently deleted her Freddie pics, saying she was going for a fresh start,
but quickly added them back after her follower count dropped. They called her a “stylist” in
articles, but I’ve seen no evidence that she styles anything - hair? clothes? Who knows. She
doesn’t currently work and sells old clothing on Poshmark for $5 a pop.

Tammi, the “grandma” appears eager to relive her days of Baywatch extra work, Budweiser girl
contests, and hanging at the Playboy mansion. It’s no surprise the first pap pics after the baby
announcement were not of Briana, but of Tammi on July 16! After the announcement, she did
several setup pap shoots (because literally no one would know who she was to “follow'“ her and
take pictures).

Brett, Briana’s stepdad, who owns a car coating business, is known for his inability to spell. He
famously used the tagline “mama didn’t raise no quiter” on his Twitter and no one in the family
bothered to correct him. Freddie bears a striking resemblance to this man he shares zero DNA
with.

Austin is Briana’s little brother and is probably the only normal one in the bunch. Half-brother
to Briana, his dad is Brett and his mom is Tammi. Your average teen, he seems to have a genuine
affection for Freddie and was famously captured hugging Freddie while a relative captioned the
photo “big bro blanket”. Big bro? Alrighty then. Freddie bears a striking, almost uncanny
resemblance to Austin as well, despite Austin being Briana’s half-brother.

Ashley is Briana’s cousin and occasional partner in crime. They seem to have an on again, off
again relationship and sometimes Briana’s family appears to like Ashley better. Ashley is a
hairstylist and former internet model. She claims not to be racist, but called someone’s hijab
“that thing on your head”. She also posed kissing a black doll when people accused her of being
racist. She was with Briana in the early stages of babygate, but when her and Briana are on the
outs, she gets swapped out for Olivia, the Jesus Freak.

Tracy is Ashley’s mother and Brett’s sister. Tracy is a Trump lover who also claims not to be
racist but has gone off on Islam online. She is best known for purchasing a large swath of
domain names, including BrianaTomlinson.com, OneDirectionBaby.com, and
OneDirectionUpdates.com at the beginning of babygate. She also is no fan of wearing masks
during Covid.

Olivia is the Jesus Freak/part-time friend who now seems to want nothing to do with babygate.
Her mom appears to be friends with Tammi. She got swapped in for Ashley every now and then.
She’s famous for incoherent livestreams with Briana, especially the most recent one where she
attempted to put out a burning Briana, whose sweatshirt caught on fire. She’s your typical
hypocritical Christian - all talk, but her actions….not so much. She actually a dramatic video
about how she was done with Briana and did disappear but eventually came back again.
Grandma Ruth is Brett’s mom. She seems to want no part of babygate, having asked to be
removed from a “Freddie Family Tree” that some Freddie stan made. She’s also thrown shade at
Briana online. In more recent times, she seemed to participate more.

Cybergran, Tammi’s mom, is known for her eerie manips, loose marbles, and claims of
inventing a search engine among other things. She will tell you all about her torrid love affair
with Old Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra. She wrote a book about it that never got published, of course.
She was a former Playboy Bunny in the Playboy Bunny clubs and has done some TV work and
commercials back in the day. She is famous for announcing Freddie’s birth and gender on an
Instagram post about trash bags. Yes, you read that correctly.

Joe Jungwirth is Briana’s dad and is rarely seen. He factored in to early babygate articles
especially when supposed texts between him and Tammi were published in the media talking
about Briana being pregnant. People forget he exists. He went on a posting spree on Instagram
where he posted a bunch of unseen Freddie pics and was replying to people’s questions. He said
Louis rarely sees Freddie and even less during Covid and that Louis “starved” Briana.

Joe’s Wife is only important because during the beginning of babygate, they devoted half an
article to her music career. Everyone in the family seemed to get their 15 minutes and Joe’s wife
was no exception.

Danny Fitzgerald - The ex-stepdad of Briana Jungwirth who confirmed to BuzzFeed News that
his former stepdaughter was pregnant via the hilarious text messages posted in the previous
chapter. He’s never been heard from in relation to babygate again.

7. The Domains
What’s the first thing you do when your niece announces she’s pregnant? Buy domains! Tracy,
Brett’s sister, went on a buying spree 6 days after the news broke, buying domains like
louistominsonsbaby.com, brianatomlinson.com, babytomlinson.com, tomlinsonbaby.com,
brianajungwirthbaby.com, brianajungwirthclothing.com, louistomlinsonbaby.com. But yes,
Briana is a very private person. Man, when your own fam bulk buys domains!

The family took a lot of heat when fans found out that Briana’s family had registered these
domains -especially onedirectionbaby.com and brianatomlinson.com. They also didn’t use
private registration (it costs more) so they exposed all their contact info, which led to articles
about them getting harassed by fans calling them and how they were going to sue fans (they
didn’t). Most of the domains are no longer registered to them and some are back available for
purchase.
You think they would have learned their lesson on buying baby related domains, but nope. They went
on another buying spree. This time, Brett Clark bought clothing/store related domain names:
freddistore.com, freddieclothing.com, and freddiclothing.com in November 2016. Why they bought two
domains with the kid’s name spelled wrong, I don’t know, but it was clear they were looking to
somehow monetize Freddie and clothing (Briana did post some pics of Freddie with brands tagged so an
attempt was made). The timing of this domain purchase is unfortunate because two weeks later, the
world would find out that Louis’ mom, Jay, had passed away after fighting leukemia since Spring 2016, a
fact no one in the general public knew. So, while that tragedy was unfolding, Briana’s family was busy
buying domains. They either knew the sad news already and had other priorities or found out soon after
these domains were purchased because the one and only time Freddie went to the UK was the week Jay
passed in early December. Briana and Ashley posted videos and pictures from the trip and treated it like
one big vacation.

8. The Case of the Missing Bump

Ahh, Christmas 2015. On December 28th, an 8-month pregnant Briana posts this video. She
deleted it shortly after. Below is a screenshot from the video.
Why did she delete it? Because one of her relatives posted the picture below. Notice something
missing? Briana doesn’t have a big 8 month pregnant bump at all. The video she posted proves
it’s from the same year (check the outfits on the plaid and blue shirt guys) and that she was with
those people, which is why the video was likely deleted.
Just in case you’re thinking maybe that’s just how it is when pregnant ladies sit down, here’s a
woman with a similar size bump sitting down (Briana in the black dress, random pregnant lady is
in the red dress). Wow, that lady’s bump sticks out - even when she sits down! It sticks out so
much you can’t even see most of her left arm because the bump is in the way. But on Briana - no
bump. And if there is no bump…..well, you know the rest.
Another comparison of a pregnant woman sitting down in the same way as Briana. Again, visible
bump on the brunette. Briana is a month away from giving birth at this point. She has a big bump
in the standing bump picture above…so where is it?

And yet another pregnant woman sitting down in a similar manner. And another bump is spotted,
except not on Briana. Oh no! This lady’s bump is protruding so much, she’s resting her drink on
it.
After that oopsie moment, Briana and her mom posted two pictures of a pregnant woman with a
giant big belly on January 16, 2016, I guess to prove that Briana really was pregnant. Sadly,
neither picture included Briana’s head! How unfortunate! You think they could have zoomed out
a bit so they could have gotten Briana’s whole face and body in the shot and cleared up all that
confusion over whether she was pregnant or not.
Additionally, there’s been sketchiness around this picture which was posted almost a year after
the birth as a throwback to her “3 month bump”. The bump in the black and white picture does
not match the paparazzi photos of Briana from when she was photographed at 3 months along.
The throwback picture shows a much larger bump (the pap pic hardly shows a bump at all - my
Chipotle “food baby” is bigger). Some have even said the bump in the black and white
throwback is much larger than a 3 month bump should be in general.

People also questioned the face in the picture. Briana appeared to have plastic surgery and began
to get her lips filled in 2016 and this picture seems to show her with her “new” face. The picture
being black and white was also suspect, considering people often make pictures black and white
when they are photoshopping photos to hide any color discrepancies. The size of Briana’s head
in relation to her body also seems to be slightly out of proportion leading many to consider the
throwback picture to be “photoshopped". The picture was not posted until nearly a year after she
supposedly had Freddie, which led people to wonder why, if they had more of these types of
pictures showing her with her belly, she didn’t post them, especially when people were accusing
her of using moonbumps under her clothing. This is the one and only picture every posted of
Briana showing both her head and a bare pregnant belly.

As a side note….this picture below was posted for Halloween 2015. While some claim to see a
bump there, it’s about the same size as the woman in green who is not pregnant! This also would
have been about 2 months AFTER the throwback black and white 3-month bump pic shown
above, yet the bump doesn’t match at all.
 9 - The Birth

Freddie’s birth was announced by Cybergran (aka Tammi’s mom) on a post about trash bags. I’m not
joking. She announced it was a boy.
Cybergran has since turned off comments on her birth announcement/trash bag post.
Louis suddenly felt the need to drive from the Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in Thousand Oaks
all the way to LA, some 40 miles, to go to the Sunglass Hut and look at sunglasses. And show off a
hospital bracelet. Because he just had a baby….whose birth was announced on a post about trash bags.
People felt like the Sunglass Hut paparazzi shoot was also a hat tip to this Friends episode:

Rachel Green Hey Joey, what would you do if someone that you slept with told you that she was
pregnant?

9. What’s in a Name?
After Freddie’s birth, his name was not announced for almost a week (1/27/16). There were
articles speculating the name was Conchobar (pronounced Connor) and Sydney Rain and Skylar
Rain. On January 24, a flurry of articles appeared stating Louis had named the kid Sydney Rain.
Curious fans, knowing the history of the Clarks registering domain names, searched to see if
SydneyRain.com had been registered…and sure enough it had…by Tracy Clark, Brett’s sister
who had purchased all those domains in July 2015.
Tracy also registered the name SkylarTomlinson.com.

Instead, on January 27, 2016, Louis announced the name - Freddie Reign.

The domain names FreddieReignTomlinson.com and FreddieTomlinson.com was registered 1/26/2016.

While the registration was private this time (so you can’t see who registered it), the name had yet to be
announced so only someone involved (i.e., Louis or the family) would have registered it.
January 26, 2016 is also the date that the birth certificate was signed with the name Freddie Reign
Tomlinson. A copy of the birth certificate was available for licensing via Splash. It is an informational
copy (which just means it’s not the actual official copy that can be used for official purposes like getting
a passport, etc). Only family members and a limited set of people (police/law) can get the official copy of
the birth certificate. Everyone else requesting a copy will get the informational version (just as an FYI to
why the birth certificate says “not a valid document to establish identity”).
Members of the general public could also request informational copies. The copy that Dax from TMZ is
holding is an informational copy (and is marked as such).
So, what is curious about the name Freddie Reign? It’s an interesting choice for sure. During One
Direction’s later years, a pair of stuffed rainbow bears were often featured during concerts off to the
side of the catwalk. While no one knew who was responsible for the bears, they featured green and blue
stickers (the colors associated with Harry and Louis) and sometimes Red (the color associated with Liam)
via their mics. The bears were name RBB and SBB and were dressed in various outfits and staged in
various scenes. One outfit that RBB wore was a Freddie Mercury outfit as in Freddie Mercury from
Queen. Queen - Reign? A bit interesting. The other possible Freddie Reign inspo is a Youtuber known as
FreddieIsMyQueen. While I won’t go into specifics here, the YouTuber was bullied and threatened with
doxxing so their videos no longer exist, but they featured a “ship” relationship between Louis and
another member of the band. The YouTuber was extremely popular with a subscriber count of
480,000+. Again, Freddie + Queen (aka Reign).

Freddie Reign - An interesting choice of name either way, especially since the family had registered
domains for two other names prior to the announcement.

11 Paparazzi, Tabloids, and Babies - Oh My!

Paparazzi Pictures
While Louis is famous, Briana was not. While some tabloid interest could be expected from the first 1D
baby, it became overkill. Many of the pap pics appeared to be setups - (i.e. catching Briana at a random
passport office before she went to the UK while pregnant to see 1D’s London shows (despite the fact 1D
toured the US and she could have gone without flying overseas). The most disturbing aspect of the pap
pictures was the fact that during Freddie’s supposed first week of life, he was papped more than 6 times
- almost once a day. I don’t know a single other mom who has the energy to be leaving the house almost
every day in the first week of birth. Fans noted her outfits at the time seemed not typical of most new
moms who are in diapers themselves after giving birth.

Despite claims of being a private person, Briana was papped multiple times both before, during, and
after babygate. At one point, Briana used Lemon Light, a pap for hire agency that takes pap-like pics for
people. These hilarious car wash pictures in her gated community and these workout pictures where she
tries to use her phone with boxing gloves while cousin Ashley plays the part of personal trainer
summarize the ridiculous nature of this whole stunt. She used Lemon Light again for this family outing
and this family outing.

TMZ’s involvement during the early stages of babygate was also odd. That hadn’t really focused on Louis
before babygate, but were suddenly doing almost daily articles of him and Freddie, so much so that their
regular readers started writing comments about why so many articles about Louis. After that initial
flurry of articles, they completely stopped reporting on Louis and Freddie at all in the last few years and
have only reported actual news (like Louis’ LAX arrest or Briana setting herself on fire).

Louis first Father’s day picks up Freddie at a car park - June 19, 2016 - Briana was partying in Vegas so
Louis exchanged Freddie with Tammi and Brett in a parking lot of a scenic overlook complete with pap
shots. You’d think they could find more private locations to do these exchanges! Louis took a picture of
Freddie in his car seat for Instagram and that was the extent of Father’s Day. Freddie was back with
Tammi and Brett later that day while fans wondered by Louis didn’t even get to have his kid longer on
Father’s Day considering Briana wasn’t even in town.

In July, Louis asked for privacy for his son after almost 6 months of paparazzi shoots and almost constant
posting on Instagram and social media from Briana and her family. The family continued (and continues
to this day) to post pictures of Freddie on their social media and often geotags their location - a
dangerous practice when you’re dealing with a celebrity baby.

The last pap pictures of Louis and Freddie during that time were in December 2017. Of note,
Louis sent his dog, Clifford to the UK just before this and later put his LA house up for sale.
(The house was on the market for almost a year before being pulled off the market after COVID-
19 hit). That house eventually sold, leaving Louis with no known house in California. It should
also be noted that the house Briana was living in (supposedly with Freddie) was recently sold at
the end of 2022. That house was owned by a trust with Oli’s name and Lawrence Engel, Louis’
lawyer on it.

Baby Pics
There’s been a lot of weirdness with the baby pictures of Freddie. Louis’ early pictures were all black and
white and people often thought the photos looked photoshopped or had oddness like missing tattoos.

This picture was posted on Louis’ Instagram as the first picture of Freddie. Pay close attention to Louis’
eyelash area.
Louis’ mom posted a different version of that picture, which was then used in an article in The Sun.
What is up with Louis’ eyelashes? They honestly look an inch long. How is the newborn baby able to
hold it’s head up like that? You can see the gap between Louis’ chest and the baby’s forehead. What is
up with the weird contrast in the picture (i.e. Iook at the shadow within the shadow around the baby’s
nose.

Another key thing to notice about the baby Louis posted is that it has an ear deformity. It looks similar to
what is called “lidding” (where that top part of the ear folds over), but there seems to be other
structural differences in the ear compared to an average ear. There are ear correction systems that you
can use on babies and some ears fix themselves with time.

This photo was supposedly leaked/stolen. Again, it’s black and white and the baby looks almost added in
to the picture.
Briana’s pictures were all in color. There was also speculation because these early Freddie pics looked
like another baby.
Various pap pictures of Freddie. The last one the sun was shining right in his face and he didn’t seem to
care (also looks a bit….odd). Lots of ear comparisons.
Fans noticed for awhile that Freddie’s eyes were always closed in pictures that Briana posted or hands in
the same positions. People wondered if they were using reborn dolls.
This picture was part of one posted with Lottie and Louis out to eat. People noticed the baby seemed to
have a butterfly shaped earring in its ear.
I don’t even know what to say about this one of Freddie and Briana at a fair….

This trip to a festival was the subject of an article about Briana’s friend Olivia shaking the baby while
dancing.

As Freddie got older, he began to develop more distinctive features and debate over multiple babies
stopped. People have speculated that the Freddie was not born when they said he was (due to the
surrogate situation theorized earlier) and is actually a bit older, which is why so many different babies
and photoshopped pictures seem to have been used early on. Freddie currently is larger than average
for his age despite supposedly having two average sized parents and shares a striking resemblance to
Brett and Austin (discussed in another chapter).

They still appear to be using Facetune or Photoshop on Freddie pictures. This picture posted by Briana
has weird fuzziest around the chin area (like a piece cut out). There also seems to be a difference
between posts that look like Facetune has been used versus more natural candids.
A lot of pics of Freddie appear to use Facetune or other filters. His skin is overly smooth in areas. His chin
area appears to be adjusted to look pointier. He often seems to be told to do the closed lip smile so he
looks more like Louis’ childhood photos.
This photo was posted as a “throwback” – again it’s black and white. They sure do love the black and
white – easier for photoshopping! Briana’s face has some random blurriness. Louis seems sharper and
more contrasty than Briana. The baby in the picture appears to have a tube in his nose (similar to the
one Austin had in a picture Tammy posted from Austin’s birth). It’s been speculated that this is a
photoshopped picture of Tammy and Austin that Louis has been added in to (hence why it’s black and
white…again).
Did He Do a DNA Test?
Louis is a multimillionaire. Briana (if we follow the story of what supposedly happened) was not a long-
term girlfriend - she was a girl Louis hung out with a few times and was papped with. So, you’d think if
she suddenly ended up pregnant, you’d want to verify the kid was yours with a DNA test, right? Right?
Nope.

We got articles from TMZ (which had been posting all the Louis/Freddie setup paparazzi shots) saying
Louis didn’t need one. This is completely ridiculous. And for TMZ, which is run by Harvey who is an
actual lawyer, to treat this as if it were completely normal is completely ridiculous.

They even did videos about it.

The Mirror did an article as well and it’s important to note that Louis rep gave a statement about the
“no DNA test”. Instead of confirming he’d taken one or confirming he hadn’t taken one, the rep said,
“It’s just all part of the never ending media speculation.” WHAT? You’ve got a bunch of people thinking
your client isn’t the dad and that this is all some big, fake setup and THAT’S how you respond? That
cleared up nothing!
Another media source, Gossip Cop, which has a reputation for working with celebrities’ PR teams to put
out stories also did their own “no DNA test needed” article in response to an article that appeared in In
Touch magazine saying Louis had taken one. Gossip Cop says they “checked in with a source close to
him, and we’re exclusively assured the magazine’s claim about him demanding a DNA test is pure
“nonsense.”

Why would a celebrity worth multiple millions demanding a DNA be “nonsense”? That actually seems
like the smart thing to do! But, clearly they didn’t want anyone to think he’s actually had a DNA test.
There are no “go backs” once you’ve said you’ve had a DNA test. And this is why you won’t find anything
from Louis or his reps saying he’s had a DNA test.

Louis Tomlinson Demanded DNA Test To Prove He's Father Of Briana Jungwirth's Baby? →

Louis Tomlinson did NOT demand a DNA test to prove he’s the father of Briana Jungwirth’s newborn
baby, despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “nonsense.”

As Gossip Cop reported, Jungwirth gave birth to her and Tomlinson’s son Freddie Reign last Thursday in
Los Angeles. Although the two are not a couple, they plan to co-parent their son together. But according
to In Touch, Tomlinson was less than happy with the arrival of his baby boy. A so-called “source” tells
the tabloid, “Louis had the [DNA] test done as soon as the baby was born. He wanted proof the baby
was his.”

The tabloid then goes on to make the baseless claim that Tomlinson has no interest in being a dad,
quoting it’s dubious “source” as saying, “He hasn’t spent one night with his son. Briana and her mom are
taking turns with the baby… It’s clear Louis wants nothing to do with Briana and her family.”

Actually, what’s clear is the tabloid knows nothing about Tomlinson. The day after Freddie’s arrival, an
ecstatic Tomlinson tweeted, “I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) He is healthy and
pretty amazing :) I’m very happy!!” And, as Gossip Cop reported earlier, Tomlinson debuted the first
photo of his baby on Twitter on Wednesday night. The picture featured the One Direction singer
cradling the newborn against his bare chest with the caption, “Meet my little lad, Freddie.”

Regardless of how over-the-moon Tomlinson really is about his son, Gossip Cop checked in with a
source close to him, and we’re exclusively assured the magazine’s claim about him demanding a DNA
test is pure “nonsense.” Sadly, this is the second time In Touch has tried to raise questions about the
paternity of the baby. Back in September, Gossip Cop slammed the disgraceful tabloid when it alleged
Jungwirth was unsure of the child’s father because she was “having sex with someone else at the same
time.” Much like the latest manufactured DNA test story, the previous allegation was slammed by
Tomlinson insiders as a “malicious lie” and “total fabrication.”
Just as a funny aside, early on after Freddie had been “born”, Olivia and Briana did a livestream at some
point and one of the chat commenters said “Louis posted a DNA test!” (He hadn’t.) The absolute “oh
shit” look on Olivia’s face was priceless. That is not the face of someone who is confident that a DNA test
would prove Louis is the father. Also, why would Louis posting a DNA test cause this reaction if Briana
knew Louis was the father. There shouldn’t be this absolute look of fear on Olivia’s face. This is the face
of someone who has been caught red-handed thinking the gig is up.

Custody
As a multimillioniare, Louis should be able to buy the best lawyer money could buy, yet he
seems to have no actual custody of his kid. After the birth, the tabloids said they were fighting
over custody (with Briana supposedly complaining that Freddie came back from visits smelling
like Danielle Campbell’s perfume). His custody appeared to be solely for paparazzi photoshoots
where he was pictured strolling around Calabasas Commons shopping center before passing him
back. Custody exchanges were super public in public locations versus privately at either Briana
or Louis’ location.
On Louis’ first Father’s Day, Briana was in Las Vegas so Brett and Tammi passed Freddie off to
Louis in the parking lot of a scenic overlook trailed by paps. He had him for all of an hour, where
he took a picture for social media of Freddie still in his carseat, before he was back with Tammi.
Why? As a dad, Father’s Day should have been HIS day to spend time with his kid, but instead
they did a very public photo op exchange before giving him back to Tammi, the grandparent.
And how do we know? Because she posted pics of him later that day.

Louis doesn’t appear to have overnight visits. Many of the early custody exchanges were
captured by paparazzi shoots (all by the same paprazzi agency) and lasted for short amounts of
time before Freddie was given back. We know this because the Clarks would then be posting
pictures and videos of Freddie that same day.

Louis didn’t appear to be able to take Freddie out of the country. Freddie has only left the US
once, when he was less than a year old in 2016. Right before Jay passed away, Freddie was
brought to the UK. Brett admitted they had to get a passport last minute and had no idea Jay was
even sick. You’d think Louis as a UK citizen would have worked on a passport for Freddie from
the start instead of waiting until the last minute. The trip was treated like a vacation by Ashley
and Briana who posted pictures and videos of their Air B&B. That was the last time most of
Louis’ family (with the exception of Lottie) have seen Freddie. That was December 2016. None
of the other family members have seen Freddie since 2016, despite having traveled to other
countries for vacations. Louis’ grandparents haven’t seen Freddie since 2016 either.

In 2019, while promoting her tanning products in the US, Lottie did take pictures with Freddie.

Louis himself has not been photographed with Freddie since December 2017.

Update: Freddie suddenly spent the last two Christmases in Doncaster with these family
members who he did not know since they’d last seen him when he was less than a year old. The
sudden appearance of Freddie being taken to the UK seems to coincide with Freddie being
included in Louis’ upcoming documentary.

The Makeover
Another thing about babygate is that Briana has gone a radial makeover since she was first
photographed in the infamous “This one’s for The Sun” pap picture. It’s important to note that
people who point out she’s had plastic surgery and fillers don’t care that she’s had them. The
question is how is she paying for them? She doesn’t work. If she were truly getting child support
money, then it wouldn’t go towards her own plastic surgery and fillers. So, how did she afford all
of this. Just glancing at before and after photos, it seems clear she’s had a nose job (perhaps
several to tweak it), lip fillers, and most recently a boob job. That’s thousands of dollars in
cosmetic procedures. Babygate truly seems to have been an opportunity to get a “makeover” for
Briana at Louis’ expense.

Before and After

Briana’s ever-changing face. This was compiled by someone on Tumblr, but shows the man iterations of
her face from high school to now (this isn’t even the most up-to-date).
A clear use of lip fillers. Lip fillers can cost anywhere from $500 to $2,000, depending on the region you
live in and the doctor performing the procedure. The average cost is about $600. Lip filler can last 4-6
months, making it a temporary procedure that requires repeated procedures to maintain the look.
She clearly had a nose job as well. The tip is more upturned now than in her original photos. The average
cost of a nose job is $5,350, depending on region.
Recently, people noticed Briana was more endowed on the top half. The bikini photo below does seem
to show recent implants (because they don’t appear to have “dropped” yet - when implants are first
inserted, they tend to sit higher and not “hang” as naturally looking more like round balls attached to
the chest. With time and massage, they hang more naturally).

Again, the point of showing that she’s had plastic surgery, is not that she’s had it. It’s that she has no
means of paying for it since she doesn’t have a job. You either have to think she’s using “child support”
money to fund these procedures or that this “makeover” was part of the deal.

Updated: Briana got sued by a “sugar daddy” who paid for her implants (more details later in this
document). She has since gotten the implants removed.
A Strange Resemblance
There’s a ton of articles about Freddie being Louis’ twin. You can google them. Every article
that features Freddie seems to go on and on about how much Freddie looks like Louis. The
articles usually use fan comments saying he’s Louis “twin”. Well, have I got news for you! This
section focuses on Freddie’s resemblance to Brett, Tammi, Austin Clark, and even Brett’s mom.
Again, the working theory is that Freddie is actually Brett and Tammi’s kid (and Austin’s
brother). I know it sounds wild, but give it a scroll. And then tell me how much of Louis’ twin he
is.

The Stolen Pictures

One strange twist of babygate was that photos were stolen from mom influencer Amberfillerup
and passed off as Briana by Briana’s own cousin (who always claimed the messages were
photoshopped). Why would Ashley need to post someone else’s photos if Briana was actually
pregnant?
Louis’ own sister got in a Twitter fight with Ashley over the use of stolen pictures after she posted a
picture supposedly from Ashley’s facebook of Freddie that was not Freddie. A fan yelled at Fizzy for
posting a picture of someone else’s baby and claiming it was Freddie. Fizzy said she got it from one of
Briana’s family members’ Facebook accounts and that was why she thought it was real. Ashley replied
that they weren’t even friends with her on Facebook. Fizzy then said “lol whatever you say sweetheart.
You would never post fake pictures of Briana or Freddie…”

Fizzy appeared to be referencing the above faked Briana pictures that were actually Amberfillerup
during this exchange.
Fizzy’s ex-boyfriend at the time also apparently “liked” tweets that were shading Ashley about this
incident.

2020 and Beyond

Babygate continued to limp along with occasional Freddie mentions from Louis during radio interviews
and little else. He didn’t know what Freddie was going to be for Halloween in 2019 and didn’t remember
what he was the previous year for Halloween. For Freddie’s birthday, he said in a radio interview they
decorated the place and gave Freddie a proper cake, but Louis was spotted in Copenhagen the night
before, leaving little time to fly to LA, throw a party, and fly back to the UK where he was later spotted.
Briana posted a picture of Freddie with a cupcake (which is what had prompted the DJ to ask Louis

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Briana and Olivia did a livestream. While horsing around on camera,
Briana set her shirt on fire and instead of immediately putting it out, she showed it to the camera saying,
“I’m on fire”. A panicked Olivia tried putting it out before Briana finally shook it enough to put the fire
out. Briana had said Freddie was sleeping in the house so the whole incident seemed ill-advised. After
the fire, they continued to livestream and even played with the candle again. Articles appeared the next
day talking about her behavior. Louis did not comment. Briana appeared to have scarring from the burn.
The COVID stay at home issue seemed to be a problem as well. Briana supposedly lives alone with
Freddie although Freddie seems to spend a lot of time at Tammi and Brett’s house. Tammi and Brett
posted a video of them cleaning out their garage and it was full of tricycles and strollers while Briana’s
house appears relatively bare. Briana and Freddie both appeared during quarantine in Tammi and
Briana’s houses. Fans took issue with Olivia and later Ashley joining the family during these quarantine
times where contact should be limited to those in your family circle since the virus can transmit even
when people are asymptomatic.

Briana later posted a picture of Freddie with a temporary tattoo that looked just like the one that Louis’
band mate Harry Styles has. This earned them another round of tabloid articles. For a supposedly
“private” family, they continue to post on social media in an anything but private way…even during a
global pandemic.

Boobgate
Briana got sued for a boob job by a guy who was apparently a “sugar daddy”. Celeb TM documented the
whole thing.

The guy claimed he gave Briana a loan for a boob job and she didn’t pay him back and then broke up
with him. He took her to court. The original date was rescheduled because she apparently hadn’t been
served or did not appear.

On the rescheduled date, neither party showed up and the case was dismissed.

This is important for a few reasons. One, it shows a pattern of Briana taking money from others to
enhance her appearance. Two, Boob Guy as he is now called stated several things – that Briana didn’t
have money for food, that he bought groceries and medication for her, that he bought Freddie an iPad,
and that Briana only got $60,000 a year in child support, which seems extraordinarily low for Louis, who
is worth 50 to 70 million according to recent reports. If she had insufficient funds, she could clearly have
taken Louis to court asking for more IF LOUIS WAS ACTUALLY THE FATHER. The fact that Louis has not
been taken to court for more child support and hasn’t gone to court requesting more (or even any)
custody, is a huge sign that something isn’t right. Either party would have a strong case for either of
those things. The fact that Louis just accepts little to no custody and Briana accepts a pittance for
supposed child support (aka her participation fee) is another sign something isn’t right.

Celeb TM seems to be the only tabloid covering some of the messier parts of babygate (although TMZ
did do a paid link to them…likely because Celeb TM paid for it).

Sonogram from fertility clinic

Briana posted a “throwback” pic of the supposed sonogram of Freddie. Fans pointed out some
weirdness with the sonogram. It doesn’t seem to include her birthdate, which a sonogram tech said is
usually listed on the sonogram. But the larger issue is that the sonogram is from HRC ENCINO, a fertility
clinic that specializes in patients with fertility issues and does things like IVF and surrogate parenting.
This is important to note because the common theory among fans is that Tammy and Brett had Freddie
via surrogate, which would explain why all the bare bump pics posted during the time Briana was
supposed to be pregnant were headless. The clinic does not seem to handle normal pregnancies and
appears to be an unusual choice of place to get a sonogram for a normal “oopsie baby”. This was also

Freddie Resurfaces
Prior to going on his first tour, Louis was spotted hanging out with Freddie a few times in very public
places (in one case wearing a very obvious Doncaster jersey that said Freddie in case you were unsure if
it was actually him. Right before tour, Louis DM’d a fan named Tanika about her son, who was a big
Louis fan. Louis wanted to Facetime with her and her son. During the facetime, he apparently brought
Freddie on the facetime to talk to Tanika and her son.
Post tour, DMs from that time leaked, showing that Louis seemed to suggest that Tanika remove any
“larry” material from her account prior to receiving the facetime with Louis.

These DMs caused a huge mess in fandom because Louis had just completed a tour, which was made
successful in no small part to the “Larrie” section of fandom. The purpose of the phone call, beyond
being a nice recognition of a small fan, was to sell the idea of him as a dad to someone who actually was
a parent (and who renounced being a Larrie because of that phone call). It completely took the good
vibes from tour end away.

XMAS 2021
Right after the DM with Tanika and after years of not celebrating ANY holidays with Louis, Freddie was
flown to the UK for Xmas and appeared to be there for approximately 2 days. He looked awkward and
uncomfortable in the videos that were posted. Remember that this was the first time he’d been to the
UK since 2016 when he was a baby. He had not seen any of these people recently and some would have
been complete strangers to him (unlike the Clark and Jungwirths, who he was with often for holidays
and other celebrations). It was a surprising move since Louis up until that point had not celebrated any
holidays including Christmas with Freddie. For such a momentous occasion, he didn’t appear to stay
more than those 2 days.

2022
Freddie came to the LA show on tour. Interestingly, he came with Brett and Tammy instead of his
“mom” Briana and sat with Oli. He held up a sign during the show and Louis seemed to point him out
during the show saying “I see you, lad”. This exchange also seemed to be filmed by Charlie, Louis’
videographer.

Freddie was a talking point through much of the promo for Louis’ new album (similar to what happened
for Walls).

Freddie again went to the UK for Xmas 2022 and again, looked uncomfortable and did not stay very
long. Fans wondered why the sudden push of Freddie stuff after years of nothing.

It all became clear when the trailer for Louis’ documentary All of Those Voices was released and Freddie
was shown 3 times in a one minute trailer. It’s clear Louis or his team want people to really believe
Freddie is Louis’ kid.

However, they still have yet to give fans what they really want to make that happen – a DNA test. Why
Louis continues to pretend this kid is his is unknown.
