The Victorian era in England lasted from 1837 to 1901 during the reign of Queen Victoria. This era saw immense industrialization and economic growth in England through new technologies like steam power. However, these changes also led to poor living and working conditions for many, including long hours, low pay, and unsafe conditions in factories. Reforms were introduced over time to address issues like child labor, healthcare, education, and workers' rights. The era also saw cultural and scientific advancements as Britain's empire expanded globally through the 1800s.
