Assignment 1
Academic Year 1444 H (2023 G), Spring 2023
1- What would you do if you don't like your current job and you're saying: "Honestly, I hate
my job? But there are reasons I should stay: This is my first job out of college, it pays
pretty well, and it will establish my career". Is there any hope or solution to feel better?
How can I make my job better? What should I do?
   I will practice a job.
1......It may not seem logical to you, and the negative feelings that you feel will not be easy for you,
but the truth and reality say that there are approximately 50% of employees who do not like their
work and they always try to discover if this is normal, but that does not mean that you accept what
you are without trying to change.
   2. Non-work activities:
Try to explore new activities that you do other than work. Being content with a job without other
things to do throughout the day may be frustrating and causes distress, and creates a state of
depression and loss of desire and interest, and therefore it is important to start enjoying your time
away from work, so you attend movies in Cinema or go out with your friends, and try to travel on
holidays, or read to relieve yourself of the absurdity and burden of work.
   3.. Adventure:
Many times, adventure with things we used to seem a scary and terrifying idea, and at other times,
we must adventure and liberate ourselves, and throw ourselves towards experience, this does not
mean that we perish ourselves, and we must also be careful, but it is important that we have a measure
of courage in some situations and planning for change.
   4.Knowledge network
It is possible for you to start attending employment-related conferences, or those interested in your
field of work, to develop yourself, and to form a new network of acquaintances that can open
horizons for new opportunities for you, develop your job capabilities, and help you to make the
decision to leave work and find another that suits you and feels in it. Enthusiasm and desire to
   continue
2-Does behavior always follow attitudes? Justify your answer?
   Yes.it does
   • The attitudes that people hold determine what they do.
   – Cases of attitude following behavior illustrate the effects of cognitive dissonance.
   – Cognitive dissonance is contradictions individuals might perceive between their attitudes and
   their behaviour.
When attitudes and behaviours don’t line up, individuals will experience cognitive dissonance

3-If you could choose between a highly paid job that you didn’t like or your dream job that
paid comparatively little, which would you choose, and why?
I will choose my dream job.
   - Happy workers are more likely to be productive workers.
   - Individuals with higher job satisfaction perform better, and organizations with more satisfied
employees tend to be more effective than those with fewer.
4- Which of the following sentences would you go with? Explain why and link it with the
   course material concepts.
I will choose ("I'm ready to take a pay cut for a more flexible work schedule and for better health
benefits as long as I'm satisfied and this eventually affects my performance in a positive way and
thus will increase the opportunity to improve".)
Take into account your health and the degree of stress you are exposed to: If you constantly feel
that you are loaded with many responsibilities, you should consider maintaining your physical and
   psychological health
also. A senior official in the South African Ministry of Health said, “How can I worry about my
own health when I am responsible for the health of eight million citizens?” Although it may sound
selfish if you only care about your own health, not doing so may affect your ability to work and
make efforts if you are not You don't have the physical energy that enables you to lead, and if you
haven't built leadership abilities in those around you

5-Why studying organizational behavior is considered one key to business success? Explain.
   Create a Comfortable Work Environment:
Business leaders who assess the actions and attitudes of employees can better understand
organizational behavior. They can then take the right action to create a comfortable work
environment where employees feel empowered to do their work and meet their responsibilities Good
organizational behavior can enhance employee performance, and increase job engagement and
satisfaction. And if it encourages healthy competition, creates a safe space for discussion and
feedback, and facilitates seamless collaboration and idea-sharing.
Nurture a Culture Based on Trust, not Conflict:
Organizational culture consists of the values, ethics, and motives that influence attitudes, working
styles, and the way people interact with and collaborate with others. When employees feel respected,
trusted, and heard, they become more responsible, feel more engaged at work, and perform better
within their teams. They also feel more committed to their work, and more willing to align their
personal or career goals with the company’s operational and strategic goals.
On the other hand, if the culture is based on conflict or fear of reprisal, employees will not bother
to share new ideas or opinions. Conflicts might lead to full-scale confrontations – either with other
employees or with management – that may negatively affect the organization in different ways. By
observing, understanding, and measuring organizational behavior, leaders can prevent or resolve
conflicts, understand the root cause of a problem, and minimize potential consequences before they
can result in too much damage. Ultimately, they can build a positive culture where employees express
themselves freely and come up with ideas to benefit the organization.
   More Effective Communication:
By studying organizational behavior, leaders can leverage key insights to explain the business
context to employees and get them more involved in day-to-day operations and decision-making.
They can understand which model of management is likely to be most effective with employees –
autocratic, supportive, mentoring, micro-management, carrots-and-sticks, etc. Over time, they can
implement better communication channels and protocols, build more effective teams, and improve
   collaboration at multiple levels.
