E57 on 3D Imaging Systems
Scope
The development of standards for 3D imaging systems, which include, but
are not limited to laser scanners (also known as LADAR or laser radars) and
optical range cameras (also known as flash LADAR or 3D range camera).
The initial focus will be on standards for 3D imaging system specification and
performance evaluation for applications including, but not limited to:

ͽͽ Surveying
ͽͽ Mapping and Terrain Characterization
ͽͽ Manufacturing (e.g., aerospace, shipbuilding, etc.)
ͽͽ Transportation
ͽͽ Mining Quick Facts
