Long Term Sub Plan: 2022/2023
Room 301
Thank you for taking over. You will be teaching three subjects: Math, Sciences and French
for two different groups (301) in am and (307) in the afternoon. It means at the same time
you will be teaching the same lessons to two different groups and two different periods –
morning and afternoon. It is a French immersion classroom; teaching in French would
be great.
Students to watch
Group 301- morning group
Denise: Very shy student, she won't ask for help even if she needs it, please double check if
she follows the class so she won't be left behind.
Connor: A student with a lot of energy. He tends to rush everything as if he is doing a race.
Please make sure he follows all the steps and make revision before he declared done with his
work.
Courtney : A Shy student who wants to be the only one in her space. She doesn't feel
comfortable with people around her whom she doesn’t know yet. You don’t have to check on
her every time.
Group 307- afternoon group
Scarlett: Tend to be tired and wants to talk with the closest classmate instead of doing her
work. She needs encouragement and some reminder.
Ben: Sometime he will need support in Math.
Starting the day!
After reviewing the sub-plan for the day of the cycle you are in, please meet the student at 8:50
by using the linkway door. (Please ask the office to show you the linkway door). For Security,
concern make sure that the classroom door is locked whenever you leave it.
For the attendance
Students come in with you at 8:50. When they arrive to class, they read the schedule you have
written and get themselves organized. You can do attendance during this time and enter it into
Mayett (if you have access). If you can’t access the digital attendance please send a class list
from the substitute folder with a student (Regine, Chibuchi or Nourjane) to room 204 by the
office and Lorna will enter in the attendance. You must have it done by 9:00. You will need to
do attendance again after lunch for the same group of students before they switch classes. You
will supervise the students from 301 travelling to class 307 (Madame Barton’s classroom) and
the students from 307 come to you.
Dismissal
The students dismiss for the day at 3:25 by returning to their homerooms. You will dismiss
class 301 to return to their homeroom and supervise the transition. When 307 returns to you
they can get ready and then you dismiss them one by one when they are ready. All can be
dismissed by 3:30 pm.- (please walk them to the Linkway door.)
For fire drill or lockdown.
Fire Drill. Students will exit the new stairwell (located after room 302) and out the main doors.
They will walk around the school and line up by the church. Please bring the red folder hanging
behind the main door that says fire drill folder. You will need to confirm by doing attendance
that all students are present. You can give the principal a thumbs up for all students being
accounted for or thumbs down if you are missing someone.
Lockdown. Please put the blinds down, make sure the door is locked and wait with students
silently behind the vestibule area. Once the principal comes on the announcements with an all-
clear. You can go back to everyday learning. STUDENTS MUST BE SILENT!
Day 5
9:00 to 9:05 Oh Canada,- Announcements
Attendance- Please send a student (Regine, Chibuchi or Nourjane) to grab you a class
list if the subfolder does not include one. Then ask that same student to send it back to
the office, once done with the attendance.
Ask Mrs. Barton (Room 307), or Sandra (office) to help you IF NEED BE.
9:05 to 9:40 Math: Please have them used their Chromebook. I have uploaded some math
activities for them on Netmaths. Then, have them get ready and line up for Music at
9:40.
9:40 to 10:30 Phys -Ed - Please walk students to the gym. You can leave class by 9:37. The
students can show you the direction.
10:30- 10:45 Please go get students from the Gym by 10:30. Walk them back to class and have
them continue the Math activities.
10:45 to 10:55 Break -.
Continue with the math activity but allow them to take snack while they are doing math.
10:55 to 11:55 French- Activities
Writing :
10:55 11:25
Please have them use their French Conjugaison booklet “Future simple” (It’s a green
booklet) Every student have their own booklet. They might work with a partner (if you
want).
Pages :9, 10 and 11.
11:25 to 11: 55
Reading. Have them grab their French reading book to read. The books are on the
table next to the white board.
Have students get ready for lunch by 11:55 pm
12:00 to 12:55 Lunch:
You dismiss the students for lunch at 12:00. I let them get ready at 11:55. They bring
everything they need during the lunch hour with them. You can let them go at 11:58 for
lunch. They walk downstairs. Lock the door after they leave. Lock the class during
the lunch hour if you leave the room.
1:00 to 1:05 Take 301 afternoon attendance and then walk them to class 307. You will then get
class 307 for the afternoon. All transitions must be supervised.
1:05 to 2:10 Math: Math: Please have them used their Chromebook. I have uploaded some math
activities for them on Netmaths.
2:10 to 2:25 Movement break
Depending on Mrs. Barton’s availability, (the Room 307 teacher),
Please take them to the Gym for a quick period of Break. The students from 301 will
join you with Mrs. Barton as well. You need to stay in the Gym and support Mrs. Barton
as the students need to be supervised.
If Mrs. Barton is not available, please, continue with the math activity.
2:25 to 3:25 French- Activities
Writing :
2:25 - 3:00

3:00 to 3: 25
Reading. Have them grab their French reading book to read. The books are on the
table next to the white board.
3:25 to 3:30 Have students get ready for home at 3:25 pm and you can walk class 307 back to their
homeroom. Return to 307 with the 301 homeroom and let them get ready for home.
You can then dismiss them for home by 3:30. They wait by their desks for you to
dismiss them 1 by 1. Walk them downstairs to the little building. Lock the door after
they leave.
