MALABAR
- Lush greens, the sweet song of the birds and the loud roar of the
forest king. Intricate flora and fauna patterns to match the forest
imagery; Heavy textured backgrounds with a pop of wildlife.
- The colour palette resembles a dark night in the forests of the
Malabar coast – dark bases with jewel toned patterns.
- Elephant, tiger motifs and large repeat foliage like banana trees, palm
leaves are key.
- Conversational patterns in jewel tones.

- Serene pomegranate gardens and swaying tulips invoking Persian
romanticism.
- Deconstructing traditional Turkish motifs like pomegranates and tulips
into modern layouts. A unique interpretation of Suzani motifs in
auburn winter colours.
- Pattern and motif style influenced by the Suzani embroidery,
minimalist colours and deconstruction are key.

Sutr Santati

Sutr Santati is an exhibition curated by Lavani Baldota showcasing Indian textiles in a contemporary form. “Suzani” is a Gysar pattern designed for Aadyam Handwoven that
was selected to be a part of this exhibit along with other designers and textiles connoisseurs like Gaurav Gupta, Gaurang Shah, Ridhi Jain, The Chanakya School, Vastrakala,
to name a few.
ADDS 2023

In the AD Design Show 2023 hosted in Mumbai, Aadyam Handwoven had exhibited six textile artworks. Thoughtfully mixed and thematically designed, these textile
artworks were co-designed and developed to showcase the various Indian weaving craft techniques. A baitak setting was arranged with the AW23 Home Suzani Collection.
Pracheen

Pracheen is a textile atelier showcased by Aadyam Handwoven. It showcases extraordinary masterpieces made by master weavers. It is a mobile exhibit that has been
showcased in Pune, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. On the left is “Tipatiya”, a double ikat saree in a contemporary candy colours so rare in Pochampally cluster. On the right
is “Ayush”, a tangaliya saree from Bhuj cluster in which there are 90,000 dots creating vivid patterns.
Trendloom

Aadyam Handwoven in collaboration with ICW created a trend forecast namely, Trendloom. In the 2022-2023 edition, I was a part of the
team that created the Trendloom exhibit that was showcased at the ICW show, Delhi. Also co-developed the Trendloom Forecast book.

A collection of 8 designs were required with no specifics on themes. The above is a set of inspiration images collected for conversion to
pattern. The patterns can either be envisioned in The clientele are high end furnishing brands based in USA and Europe such as Pollack,
Kravet, Casamance, Nobilis, JAB etc

A collection of tapes which includes techniques such as fabric manipulation, embroidery, applique with generic classic designs that can be used for ornamentation of

1) Designing home furnishings for international market. Both screen print and weave techniques were used. Developing CADs for the designs using Photoshop and CorelDraw.
