Step 1: Establish hypothesis

H0: the mean Value for the Dollar and Customer Service of male = the mean of Value for the Dollar and
Customer Service of female or H0: x̅ Value for the Dollar and Customer Service of male = x̅ Value for the
Dollar and Customer Service of female.

H1: the mean Value for the Dollar and Customer Service of male # the mean of Value for the Dollar and
Customer Service of female or H0: x̅ Value for the Dollar and Customer Service of male #: x̅ Value for the
Dollar and Customer Service of female.

Step 4: Assumption on Homogenity of Variances

Customer Service: F Levene’s test = 2.688; P-value of Levene’s test > 0.05 (0.107)

 The p-value for the Levene test is more than 0.05, then the variances are not significantly
different from each other (euqal variance assumped)

Value for the Dollar: F Levene’s test = 0.020; P-value of Levene’s test > 0.05 (0.889)
 The p-value for the Levene test is more than 0.05, then the variances are not significantly
different from each other (euqal variance assumped)

Step 5: Conclusion

Customer Service:
 T = 1.584
 P > 0.05 (0.119)
 The mean difference is 0.438
 The conclusion is to fail to reject the null hypothesis, not enough evidence to support the
alternative hypothesis.
 There is NOT a significant different between the mean Customer Service of male and the mean
of Customer Service of female. The mean Customer Service of male is larger than the mean
Customer Service of female at 0.438.

Value for the Dollar:

 T = 0.186
 P > 0.05 (0.853) => no statistical meaning
 The mean difference is 0.052
 The conclusion is to fail to reject the null hypothesis, not enough evidence to support the
alternative hypothesis.
 There is NOT a significant different between the mean Value for the Dollar of male and the
mean of Value for the Dollar of female. The mean Value for the Dollar of male is larger than the
mean Value for the Dollar of female at 0.052.

 It can be inffered that gender is not a factor that causes differences in the Customer Service and
Value for the Dollar variables.
