NUMBER OF PERFORMERS: 2 - Unlimited provided the integrity of rhythmic alighment and timbre
interest is viable.

Should you choose multiple instruments and/or multiple timbres, you may set exactly when to change
instruments or randomly improvise shifting from instruments.

DYNAMICS: Hand-Clapping: Sempre f Instruments: change dynamics to create interesting

combinations of tones and/or timbres.

TEMPO: indication is merely a guide; whoose the tempo that best works for your realizaion. e=196

The performers begin in unison playing the first sounded beat, an 1/8 note for a
total of four times, then add the next sounded beat, a 1/16 note to the first 1/8 = a 3/16 measure and play
it for a total of four times. To that, add the nexted sounded beat a 1/16 tied to a 1/16 which equals the
length of an 1/8 note and add that to the previous two sounded notes = 5/16 measure and play that four
times, etc. until you build thepattern up to the full 4/4 measure which is played for a total of tour times
and then ending with a unison downbeat.

As the entire work is based on this one measure (below), it is intended that Toyama would always be
memorized for performance.
