Dear Dean Teodoro,
Greetings from the United Architects of the Philippines – Student Auxiliary!
This year’s celebration of the National Architecture Week (NAW) 2023 on December
03-09, 2023 at Baguio City, Philippines, with a theme, “SIGAW NG ALON: Soaring Beyond the
Boundaries of Architecture”. The theme conveys a profound message of striving that is both
inspiring and limitless like an endless ocean. It captures the essence of architecture beyond
the horizon, and its influence on communities, cultures, and societies in addition to physical
locations.
Additionally, it implies a link between the always shifting rhythm of nature and the
development of architecture. Just as 'waves' are never static and always developing, so is
architecture. NAW 2023 aims to instill the essence of dynamic engagement in social, cultural
and environmental factors in this constantly changing world. In line with the goal and
objectives of NAW 2023, UAPSA will be conducting various sub-events to make this event
meaningful and memorable (see attached calendar of events).
Prior to NAW 2023, SIGAW NG ALON: Soaring Beyond the Boundaries of Architecture,
we humbly request your permission to excuse the UAPSA-MU Officers/Members from their
respective classes to attend this event (kindly see the attached list of students). Their active
participation in NAW 2023 would serve as an opportunity for the students to represent their
school and participate in seminars and workshops to be conducted by highly qualified
professionals. Apart from that, NAW will also be a venue for the members to expand and
nurture their knowledge about leadership, self-improvement, and team coordination.
