Shipstern Nature Reserve
Shipstern Nature Reserve has long been the main magnet for tourists in the
northeastern Belize. It provides you with a variety of things and some of the main

Location
Shipstern Nature Reserve is located in Corozal District, along Chunox-Sarteneja
Road in the northeast of Belize. From the Philip Goldson International Airport to
this amazing reserve it takes you 2hr and 20min by car with a distance of 136.2km.
Cost
From the main airport to Corozal Town amounts to $250 and above depending if
you choose to take the bus, taxi, or rent a car. A guided tour of the botanical trail is
BZ$10 and a tour in one of the lagoon in xo-pol is BZ$150 per person. If you would

Accommodations
The Birder’s lodge and other accommodations are located right at Shipstern
Headquarters, along the Chunox-Sarteneja Road and about five miles before the
village of Sarteneja. Our basic but comfortable lodge has four double rooms with
private baths and ceiling fans. A large screened veranda in front is ideal for
evening relaxing. The lodge is only a few steps away from our restaurant. we
proudly serve local Belizean meals with much variety. Our two spacious
dormitories can accommodate 12 persons each, and are equipped with shared
bathrooms and showers.

spacious parking lot with 24/7 vigilance, bike rental, gift shops, book shelf,
chartered boat and vehicle transport.

Caracol
Caracal is the largest partially excavated ancient Maya archaeological site in
Belize. Caracal features majestic temples in which the largest of them all is
"Caana" or "Sky place" that rises over 140ft above the jungle floor. This temples
are so tall and rich in beauty that it will give you the urge to climb them. The
process may be tiring but fruitful since it will present to you a spectacular view of
the surrounding Chiquibul Forest Reserve. Caracol archaeological site provides
you with a monumental amount of history and mystique. A large quantity of

Location
Caracol is deep in the heart of the Chiquibul Forest Reserve of the Maya
Mountains about 25 miles south of Xunantunich in Belize's Cayo District. From the
Philip Goldson International Airport to Caracol it takes 3 hr and 25 min by car with
a distance of 171.0 km via the western Highway.
Cost
From the Philip Goldson International Airport to the Cayo district is $120(BZD) per
person or two and the entrance fee for this Mayan archaeological site is $7.50 USD
($15 BZD). A 6 hr Caracol Maya ruin tour is also offered at $125.
