Statement of the Problem:

This Study aims to determine the practices on quitting cigarettes.


Specifically, it seeks answer to the following question?

1. What are the reason why people smoke cigarettes?

2. Why some people use cigarettes as a coping mechanism?

3. Why do people still smoke when they are aware of significant costs?

Significant of the Study:

The goal of this study is to determine the practices on quitting Cigarettes.And


provide different informations about the certain topic.

The finding of the study may provide practices on quitting smoking.

To the the student, the results may serve as an eyes opener for these who
want to change and to help these who currently using cigarettes. Also, to understand
the effect of cigarettes.

To the community, the result may serve as guide to change and to help these
who are using cigarretes.Also to understand the effect of cigarettes to the community.

To the future researchers, the study may serve as a guide who’s.Topic is


relevant to topic.

Scope and Limitations:

The purpose of this study is focus on the practices in quitting cigarettes ,the
study will collect the respondents on every researchers location.
Furthermore, the researcher will investigate the reason why the people smoke
negative effects, and practices in quitting cigarettes.

Definition of terms:

Cigarettes- a tobacco product in the shape of a tube made of thinly-wrapped, finely-


cut tobacco leaves.Other components, such as ones to provide various flavors, might al
so be present. The smoke from a cigarette is typically breathed into the lungs after bein
g ignited on one end and smoked.

Tobacco- a kind of plant or it’s dried leaves,which are prepared and smoked in
cigarettes, pipes, or cigars, or occasionally chewed.

Secondhand smoke- refers of the combination of smoke from the burning end of a
cigarette and the smoke breathed out by smokers.

Peril-refers to dangerous and serious

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD)-refers to a group of disease that


cause airflow blockage and breathing related problems.It includes emphysema and
chronic bronchitis.
