Always read the pattern before knitting to get a general
understanding of the garment construction and avoid making
mistakes.

CHOOSE TH E R IGHT YA R N
Peace-sweater is designed in Dale Garn Baby Ull.
To achieve the best result we recommend using the yarn the
garment is designed for.

WATCH TH E GAUGE
To assure correct measurement and shape it is important to
obtain gauge.
We do not all knit the same way. If your gauge is looser than
the given gauge, the garment will be larger. If your gauge is
tighter, the garment will be smaller.

M A K E A GAUGE SWATCH
Make a gauge swatch to check your gauge. Count number of
stitches per 10 cm. If you have more stitches, change to larger
needles. If you have fewer stitches, change to smaller needles.
The needle size given in a pattern is merely a suggestion. Just
one size up or down can make a difference.

SLEEVES

Change to larger needle. Work border acc to diagram E up to the

Work the rest of the sleeve in the rd. The rd starts between diagram
E and diagram F = under sleeve center (the slit is at top sleeve

Work 1 rd using col 1. Place a marker at under sleeve center.
Work border acc to diagram G, counting the sts from the top sleeve

DIAGR AMS
FINISHING
Sew two pairs of machine seams within the center front cutting sts and
cut open between pairs of machine seams.
Hem the sleeves and sew nicely to the wrong side and along the short
edges.
Make a loop as follows: ch 13 using col 1 and crochet hook size 2
mm. Sc 12 sts.
Sew the loop to one side of the sleeve slit (button loop).
Make another loop the same and sew to the slit on the other sleeve.

NECKBAND
Using col 1 and larger needle knit up sts along the neck.
K 1 row on the WS, and at the same time adjust the stitch number to
137 (137) 137 (151) 151 sts. Work border acc to diagram K b&f.
K 1 row on the WS (= folding row), change to smaller cir needle
and work st st for 4,5 cm for facing.
BO.
Sew in the sleeves.
Sew in the zipper.

ZIPPER FACING
CO 44 sts using col 1 and work 5 rows st st b&f.
BO.
Make another facing the same.
Sew the facing on each side of the zipper.

ZIPPER EMBELLISHMENT
Using col 2 and smaller dp needles CO 2 sts and work in the rd as
follows: *Slide the sts to the right on the needle, tighten the yarn on
the back and k 2 sts*, repeat between *-* until the piece measures
