Skirt Type
Skirt type taper taps are designed to guide the
fish for proper engagement and retrieval. The
outside diameter shoulder is threaded for a
skirt. Skirts can be furnished with a plain,
lipped, or threaded end. Threaded end skirts
must be used with oversized guides. Thread
protectors are provided with skirt type taper
taps and threaded end skirts.
Wickers
All Logan Rotary Taper Taps are manufactured
with hardened wickers (cutting teeth) that pro-
vide an excellent grip for light-duty pickup jobs
and ensure positive, reliable engagement of the
fish.
Standard wickers are a non-fluted, plain water-
tight design to provide circulation below the
stuck point. Fluted type wickers are available
upon request. They are designed to provide
circulation to flush out cuttings during fish
engagement. All Logan Rotary Taper Taps are
designed with a circulation hole drilled through
the center.
Right-hand wickers for right-hand rotation
engagement are standard on Logan Rotary
Taper Taps. Left-hand wickers are available
upon request. There is no extra charge for
left-hand wickers.
