. Using Steel Rule, the given Sheet Metal is checked for its dimensions.
. Using Mallet, the Sheet is leveled on the Leveling Plate.
. First, the required shape, /.e., Pattern Layout of Development of Funnel by Parallel
Line Method for the Hollow Cylinder (X) and Radial Line Method for Frustum of Cone
(Y)is drawn ona Paper. 0 is marked using Protractor.
|. The above Pattern is used for reproducing the exact size on the Sheet Metal using the
Scriber.
. Straight Snip and Bend Snip are used to cut this shape with 5 mm allowance for joining.
. Unwanted materials are removed, using Straight Snips.
The Sheet Metal is folded and bent to make the Funnel Shape.
Butt Joint is made for the Hollow Cylinder.
