Resurrection – Friday & Sunday?? OR Wednesday & Sunday??Submit your work on or before

9. NOV. 21 – Item 22. Problem: 22. Islam denies Christ’s crucifixion and bodily resurrection by this
Quranic passage: “and for boasting, ‘We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.’
But they neither killed nor crucified him—it was only made to appear so.1 Even those who argue for this
˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever—only making assumptions. They
certainly did not kill him.” (Qur’an, Surah An-Nisa 4:157) The claim is that Allah played a trick on the
crowd and history by substituting a clone of Jesus Christ who was led to Calvary and crucified there.
Islam claims Isa (Jesus) was lifted up to heaven alive just like Elijah and is alive today. Jesus will come
down to earth as a Muslim, judge the people based on the Qur’an on the end times, live 40 years then
die and the end of the world comes. Write a brief but publishable essay that debunks this claim of
Islam.

10. NOV. 28 – Item 23. Study and Discussion on the TULIP (Total Depravity, Unconditional
Predestination, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, Perseverance of the Saints). Compare it with the
Plan of Salvation as believed by members of the Church of Christ. Discuss also Predestination of
Calvinism and Predestination (Fate) of Islam.

11. DEC. 05 – Understanding and Evaluating the Christology of Islam – Qur’an, Surah 3:45-46,
“(Remember) when the angels said, ‘O Maryam (Mary)’]! Allah gives you the glad tidings of a Word
[‘Be!] – and he was! i.e. ‘Isa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (from Him, his name will be the Messiah Isa
(Jesus) the son of Maryam, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who
are near to Allah. He will speak to the people in the cradle and in manhood, and he will be one of the
righteous.”

Major Islamic Ideas about Jesus Christ:

(a) Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah,

(b) His Existence Started with His Human Birth,

(c) Jesus Was Born of the Virgin Maryam,

(d) He Was Holy and Righteous Son,

(e) In the Cradle, He Spoke With People,

(f) While a Young Boy, He Fashioned, Form Out of Clay a Birth, Breathed Into It and It Flew,

(g) He Was Taught the Injeel and Strengthened with the Holy Spirit Who is Injeel Gabriel,

(h) Christ Was Not Arrested and Crucified. Two Explanations: (a) He Was Not Arrested But Was Taken
Out of the Upper Room Through a Small Window- Lifted Up to Heaven Body & Soul. Allah Cloned
Somebody to Look Like Jesus and This Clone Was the One Crucified, (b) Simon of Cyrene Was the One
Crucified,

(i) No Resurrection of Christ

(1j) Jesus Christ Will Come Descend At the End of the Ages As a Muslim, Rule and Judge the World Forty
Years Will Die Then Comes the End of Time.

12. DEC. 12 – (Final Exam). Summary of Major Points. Answer any questions. Submission of assigned
papers.
