- Added an option to disable the splash screen. To disable splash screen, set the
ini setting "disable_splash" in the [Misc] section to true.
(Note that disabling the splash screen doesn't remove the game bug that affects
some people where the game takes time starting sometimes).
- The random music patch has been extended with a new mode called "fullmix". This
mode allows to set several bgm's for each character/stage.
To enable, set "enable_random_music" to true in the [Random] section of the .ini
file, and set "mode" in [RandomMusic] section to fullmix.
To customize the tracks, edit the file REDELBE/fullmix.ini.
- Added a patch that allows modders to create a mesh transformation mod; the
transformation happens when the attacker character does a breakblow or when they do
a taunt.
Modders can implement this like if it were a layer2 breakable costume, and then
add "transform = true" in the [General] section of the mod.ini file.
- A layer2 mod of the Sweat stage can now use of the "disable_npc" introduced in
previous update.
(an a version using it can be found in "[Optional] Extras/Story mode stages"
2.9
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.9)
- Bugfix: as noted in a previous changelog, there was a synchronization bug that
was fixed for layer2 costume/hair mods, but not for stage. It is now fixed for
stages as well.
- Modders can now disable npc (spectators) in layer2 stage mods by adding
"disable_npc = true" in the [Stage] section of the mod.ini.
This currently only work in Colosseum (day or night), Throwdown (afternoon or
night) and Chinese Festival (both floors) stages.
Version of these stages without npc are now available in "[Optional] Extras/Story
mode stages"
- Modders can now specify a different bgm track in layer2 stage mods. To do so, add
the line "bgm = xxx" in the [Stage] section, where xxx is the name of the track.
The name of the track is the name of the file as extracted from
SE1_Common_BGM.srst by SRSXtool >= 1.0, without the extension. (For a sample, see
the stages specified below)
The Colosseum Night, Colosseum Night (no spectators) and Douglas Memorial Stage
from "[Optional] Extras/Story mode stages" will now use the bgm used in story mode.
- A patch has been added to allow for random music (disabled by default). To
enable, set "enable_random_music = true" in [Random] section.
To configure extra parameters, see the [RandomMusic] section.
2.8
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.8)
- Important bugfix: the loader of additional filenames was critically slow, causing
a delay of between 10-20 seconds depending of cpu speed. The new implementation has
brought it down to ~40 milisecs.
Now the game should boot faster.
2.7
- REDELBE can now toggle (hide/show) the battle HUD using the F5 key. (You can
press the key at any moment in the battle or in battle loading screen. You will
hear a "beep" when doing it).
This is enabled by default, but it can be disabled in the .ini with the
"enable_hide_battle_hud" setting in the [UI] section.
- The stage used in survival mode can now be costumized using the ini setting
"survival_stage" in the [Misc] section. (By default it is set to S0401CLS, the
colosseum stage, for vanilla behavior)
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.7)
- Bugfix: there was a bug affecting layer2 mods when they were randomly selected.
Under some circumstances, REDELBE could get desynced with the game, and the mod
data wouldn't load (effects were more visible on mods using work feature)
The bug has been fixed for costumes & hair mods; possibly a similar bug
still exists for stages, that will be fixed in a future update.
- Bugfix: Layer2 mod with files in RRP wouldn't properly work if the user had files
in RRPreview folder.
- Bugfix: the patch for random glasses was partially done even if the feature was
not enabled.
- All log lines will now display a time stamp (relative to the start of the game)
in format H:MM:SS.mmm
2.61
- Bugfix: There was a critical bug affecting the so called "external files" (like
any .srst file) in Layer2 mods. If a mod had one of these files, the game would
crash whenever the layer2 mod was NOT active.
2.6
- Layer2 support for High Society (COS_105, HAIR_105) and school (COS_106) DLC.
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.6)

RRPreview.
2.5
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.5)

FACE_039) and some Honoka new standlone hair (HON_HAIR_100).
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.4)
- Tamaki Random costume has been added in "[Optional] Extras/Random Costume"
- Added debug option "log_numeric" in the .ini. This option, disabled by default,

- Layer 2 support for gust costumes (COS_037, HAIR_037) and Atelier Ryza costumes
(COS_038, HAIR_038)
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.3)
- Fixed a bug regarding the BOSS/BOSSL layer2 stages (hidden forest night).
The bug happened only when the stage was selected randomly, and only if the
previous loaded stage wasn't multi-level: under those circumstances,
the game optimization code would cause a desync with REDELBE code that ended in
these stages being partially loaded (they would load with proper illumination, but
not with the expected night sky).
2.2 (since this version, REDELBE is not longer compatible with game versions below
1.19)
- Fixed compatibility with game version 1.19
- Layer 2 support for chinese costumes (COS_104, HAIR_104)
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.2)
- Modders can now use the afternoon version of the "The Throwdown" stage in a
layer2 mod stage by using special "work" code "THROWA" (and this stage is included
now in optional extras)
- Nyotengu masks (ITM_GLASSES_NYO_002_MASK, ITM_GLASSES_NYO_003_MASK) can now be
specified in the random glasses section of the .ini, and they have been added to
the default .ini.
2.1
- Layer 2 support for Sci-Fi costumes (COS_036, HAIR_036, ZAC_COS_100), maid
costumes (COS_103, HAIR_103) and SP4 costumes (COS_022, HAIR_022)
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.1)
- Fix: "enable_random_underwear" and "enable_random_glasses" now work in all
battles (of versus, survival, arcade and timeattack), and not only in the first
battle.
2.01
- Fix: Random costume wasn't working because I forgot to update Layer2.xml in the
package. It works now.
2.0
- Layer 2 support for Rachel (RAC), Santa bikinis (COS_035, HAIR_035), Hayate free
costume (HYT_COS_100, HYT_HAIR_100, HYT_FACE_100) and Hitomi free hair
(HTM_HAIR_009).
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 2.0)
- Added random costume functionality. To use them install "Random costume" in
"[Optional] Extras", and select the random costume in game as any other layer 2
mod.
Currently, this functionality only works in versus, arcade/time attack and
survival. It doesn't work yet in training or online.
- Added "[Optional] Extras" folder in the package, with extra functionality. Read
the readme there for details.
- The default values of "slot_info_in_css" and "slot_info_in_sss" in the
default .ini file have been changed from "false" to "true", so that this
functionality is now enabled by default.

"work".
1.8 (since this version, REDELBE is not longer compatible with game versions below
1.16)
- Fixed compatibility with game version 1.16
- Fixed crash bugs in certain layer 2 hair mods (or costume mods that included
hair)
- Layer2 support for christmas costumes (COS_107, HAIR_107) and Leifang free
costume (LEI_COS_100)
- More filenames availablle (matching rdbtool 1.8)
- Added a couple of randomization options in the ini (they are disabled by
default): enable_random_underwear and enable_random_glasses.
When enabled, the game will randomize the underwear & glasses respectively, on
random characters (either selected by player or cpu).
Note: due to limitations of the game, currently the randomization of underwear
and glasses only happens in the first battle of a series of battles (e.g. in versus
mode, it would only apply in the first fight).
That limitation may be lifted in the future.
For glasses, the "RandomGlasses" section provides more control on the glasses
that can be used, and the probability.
- Added a ton of debug options in the ini file, all of them disabled by default.

called "Kasumi Mod" can now be at "REDELBE/Layer2/KASUMI/Kasumi Mod" and will work.
(old paths will still work).

costumes (COS_021)
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 1.5)

- Layer2 support for Bunny costumes (COS_102, HAIR_102)
- More filenames available (matching rdbtool 1.4)

selected randomly. It now can (atm, only in versus, support for arcade/ta in next
version)

mods by using the special "work" codes: COLNIGHT and RRNIGHT respectively.

with "work = BOSS". Note that this is actually a pseudo-stage code that will make
REDELBE apply the patch necessary for it to work.
1.01
- Important bugfix: if a Layer2 mod included non-ascii characters, all mods that
alphabetically were after said mod would cease to work because REDELBE would stop
the directory listing.
Note to modders: mods with non-ascii characters aren't still supported, the
bugfix only fixes REDELBE stoping the listing of directories.
- More filenames available in MaterialEditor (matching rdbtool 1.0)
1.0 (since this version, REDELBE is not longer compatible with game versions below
1.08)
- Fixed compatibility with game version 1.08
- More filenames available, matching rdbtool 0.9
- Layer2 support for the new costumes and the stage.
- Bugfix: There was a display issue on hair mods when using the "slot_info_in_css"
ini setting and the hair mod used the work feature. In those cases, the slot was
incorrectly displayed instead of work.
0.9
- More filenames supported (matching rdbtool 0.8)
- Layer2 stage mods functionality.
- Layer2 stage mods count for random functionality (only applies to "Versus",
"Arcade" and "Time Attack" modes). This is enabled by default, but if you want to
disable it, look in [Random] in the .ini.
- Added a patch to display the slot of current stage (and layer2 mod if any). This
setting is disabled by default. To enable, activate "slot_info_in_sss" in [Misc]
section
of the ini file. Note: this setting is strongly recommended to be enabled by
people using/making Layer2 stage mods, as there is currently no other way to know
if a layer2 stage mod was loaded.
- Layer2 mods now support the following folders: "KIDS" (for files of
KIDSSystemResource), and "Field4" (for files of Field4Editor)

versions are not supported).
- Layer 2: MAI and Kula (SNK) now supported.
- Added a patch to display costume/hair names and the mod currently loaded. This
feature is disabled by default. To enable it, look in the [Misc] section of
the .ini file
- More filenames supported (matching rdbtool 0.7)
- Fixes from rdbtool 0.7 also apply to REDELBE.
- When using the alternate button introduced in 0.7, in some circumstances, hair
mods wouldn't be selected properly.
Additional another bug related with hair mods which could cause similar to above
was fixed aswell.
0.7
- Layer 2: fixed a bug in which face of Nico wouldn't change due to technical
reasons.

- Fixed a bug in which after reloading a battle, if a layer2 mod was active, in the
reloaded battle the costume would go back to the vanilla costume of that slot.
- Added a feature to allow the game to select random hairs when selecting random
characters. This feature is disabled by default.
To enable it, look in the [Random] section of the .ini file. Further options can
be configured in [RandomHair]

(matching rdbtool 0.4)
- Layer2 costume mods now count towards randomization of costumes (enabled by
default)
This apply to the following game modes: Versus, Arcade, Time Attack and Survival
(both player and cpu).
If you don't want this feature, it can be disabled in the .ini.
It doesn't apply to hair mods, since the game doesn't randomize original hairs
either (something for this will be optionally added in the future)
0.4
- Added the new costume/hair functionality (aka "Layer2 mods"). Refer to the readme
for usage.
- Added an extra feature in the ini for the patch to uncensor break blows to
Honoka/Marie/Nico.
This patch is ****NOT*** enabled by default. To enable it, use the ini file.
(For future reference: if I add any extra feature like this, they will always be
disabled by default).
- ".rigbin" files didn't work in CharacterEditor due to an extra space in the
source code.
- REDELBE is now more "live-modding" friendly (changing modded files while game is
running) (Still files must exist in REDELBE dir before game startup, but once they
exist, they can be modified while the game is running).

code.
- Supported names of wedding costumes (matching rdbtool 0.3)
