 950's - 8T1374 seat kit for lift and tilt cylinder (this kit calls for 1-5J4988). If S/N is
81J3730 - 81J11809 or 31K962 - 31K8196, add 1-5J4988. These S/N ranges have the
piston with 2 grooves in the lift cylinder. Therefore, these S/N ranges need 2-5J4988
instead of the one that the kit calls for.

Oversize & Standard Hydraulic Cylinder Seal Kits - IRM November 7,

Seal Kits For Hydraulic Cylinders - If the NPR description has a "1" after
it - it is STD; "2" after it - it is .030 o.s.; "3" after it - it is .060 o.s.
Example - 1279796 Seal Kit -- h. Cyl - 2 (this is .030 o.s.)

3G5872 For 3G5867 Pump Is Short 1 Seal - Kit (12-5-84) currently contains 17
pieces but should have 18 pieces. The missing seal is identical to another piece in the
kit. It is a standard o-ring 6S3002. Engineering will add to the B/M and Tyrone will
start providing it in the kit. 6S3002 is AFL Code 1. Dealer must have Lift Truck
branch to order.

'wet' applications).

For Gov. Shutoff Group - If 8C3667 is too long use 1023506 - If 8C3666 is too long use
1023505 - The former 2N2384 (12 Volt) and 2N2385 (24 Volt) Rack Shutoff Solenoids
were canceled and replaced by 8C3666 and 8C3667 Rack Shutoff Solenoids respectively.
The former solenoid bodies were 112.8 mm (4.44 in) long and the replacement solenoid
bodies are 137.0 mm (5.39 in) long. The replacement solenoids are 24.2 mm (.95 in)
longer and in some applications that are too long. If the former 2N2384 and 2N2385
Rack Shutoff Solenoids have more than 31.8 mm (1.25 in) length clearance with adjacent
engine parts, use 8C3666 and 8C3667 Rack Shutoff solenoids as replacements.
New 1023505 (12 Volt) and 1023506 (24 Volt) Rack Shutoff Solenoids are available.
The bodies of these solenoids are 111.0 mm (4.37 in) long; if the former 2N2384 or
2N2385 Rack Shutoff Solenoids have less than 31.8 (1.25 in) length clearance with
adjacent engine parts, use 1023505 or 123506 Rack Shutoff Solenoids as replacements.

machines but in the older machines this will not marry up to the next spring 8M6618.

Studs

Procedure For Repairing Exhaust Manifolds - Remove any broken studs.

Because of the extreme hardness of the stud, weld a nut onto the broken
stud to provide an effective way of removing the stud. The 4S6137 stud
used on 3406 engines can be replaced with a higher strength stainless steel
6V5699 stud. (Use the 8M2296 nut, if the 6V5699 stud is replaced. The
2N2766 locknut should be used with the 4S6137 stud.)

Make sure that heat treat scale on the threads on the 6V5699 stud does not
cause artificially low nut torques at assembly by creating thread
interference (galling). The use of 8M2296 nut with this stud will reduce
the thread interference.

6V5699 was discontinued because it was no better than the 4S6137 stud.
The new part number should actually be 9X2840, which is 3/8 X 16 with
rolled threads. It is also stainless steel. SOW 9-29-88
