Michael Jackson biography

Michael Jackson was born in Indiana, United States, on August 29, 1958. Son of Joseph Walter
Jackson and Katherine Scruse Jackson, Michael was the seventh of nine siblings. Michael
Jackson's family was humble. Joe Jackson worked in a steel mill and, as a hobby, played guitar
and was a music entrepreneur. His mother, Katherine, was also into music and played the
piano in church. The child prodigy started singing at the age of five. Michael's first appearance
in the media was in 1964 when he performed with the group The Jackson Five (initially the
group was called the Jackson Brothers) alongside his brothers. As Michael was the youngest,
he became known as Little Michael. By the late sixties they had already signed a record deal
with Motown Records. In a short time, with their great performances, the group reached the
top of the charts.

The solo career

In 1979, she split from the group and began her solo career with the album Off the Wall, which
sold around seven million copies. In 1987, the singer released the album Bad, which sold over
25 million copies. Following the Thriller trend, Michael invested heavily in the production and
promotion of clips.

The aesthetic changes

The singer had several surgeries that radically changed his appearance. Michael changed his
skin color as a result of an alleged disease (vitiligo). According to the artist himself, he would
have had two nose jobs to help him breathe better and reach higher notes.

Neverland

Michael Jackson built an amusement park on his property located in California. Named
Neverland, it was there that the singer took several of his friends. The name (in Portuguese
Never Land) was given in honor of the story of Peter Pan.

The moonwalk dance step

In a special celebrating 25 years of the Motown label, Michael stood alone on stage to sing
Billie Jean. It was in this performance that the star first showed a dance step in which he
moved backwards while his feet seemed to move in the opposite direction, producing the
illusion that he was floating on the stage. the movement would soon become one of the
artist's trademarks.

Personal life

Michael Jackson's personal life has always been full of controversy, he married twice, to Lisa
Marie Presley in 1994, the daughter of the King of Rock, Elvis Presley, and to Debbie Rowe in
1996, a nurse at his dermatologist's clinic. A year after his marriage to Debbie Rowe he had a
son named Prince Michael Jackson and in 1998 Paris Michael Katherine Jackson was born. In
2002, their third child, Prince Michael Jackson II, was born through artificial insemination. The
child's mother was kept anonymous.
The pedophilia accusations

In 1993, Michael Jackson was accused of pedophilia. The accusation came from the family of
Jordie Chandler, a 13-year-old boy. The singer has vehemently denied the allegations. In
December 2003, Michael received nine charges made by an under 14-year-old, the charges
were pedophilia and supplying narcotics (in this case, wine).

The death

During the preparation of the This Is It tour, the singer who, according to his producers, was
visibly anxious, suffered a cardiac arrest as a result of an overdose of medication.The doctor
who administered the drugs was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and imprisoned for
two years.Michael Jackson passed away in Los Angeles, California, United States on June 25,
2009.

Freddie Mercury

Personal life

Freddie Mercury (1946-1991) was a musician, songwriter, singer and lead singer for the British
band Queen. Known as one of the greatest rock singers of all time, Freddie Mercury was the
stage name chosen by Farrokh Bulsara.Born in Zanzibar, Tanzania, to Bomi and Jer Bulsara, the
boy began studying piano in Mumbai (India) when he was just seven years old.One of the most
remarkable people in the singer's life was Mary Austin, with whom he had a love relationship
that turned into a huge friendship.A few months after meeting, the two moved to Kesington to
live together, and in 1973, Freddie proposed to Mary. The marriage never took place because,
at a certain point in the relationship, the singer assumed his bisexuality.The romantic
relationship ended, but the friendship moved on Freddie died on 11/24/1991 from AIDS.

Career

As a songwriter, Mercury created most of Queen's greatest hits, such as "We Are the
Champions", "Love of my Life", "Killer Queen", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Somebody to Love"
and "Don't Stop Me". Now". In addition to his work in the band, Mercury has also released
several side projects, including a solo album, Mr. Bad Guy, in 1985, and an opera album with
Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballé, Barcelona, in 1988. Mercury died of bronchopneumonia,
brought on by AIDS, in 1991, a day after he publicly admitted to the disease. His work with
Queen still earns him recognition to this day: Mercury is cited as the main influence of many
other singers and bands. In 2006, he was named the greatest African celebrity of all time and
also voted the greatest bandleader in history in a public poll organized by the American MTV.
In 2008, he was ranked eighteenth on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Singers of All
Time", and the following year Classic Rock named him the greatest singer in rock and roll. With
Queen, Mercury has sold over 150 million records worldwide.

The star Michael Jackson was a super fan of singer Freddie Mercury and the two ended up
becoming friends in the 80s. At the time, Freddie was the lead singer of the band “Queen”, one
of the biggest rock bands and Michael was already considered the king of pop , releasing one
of the best-selling albums in history.When a reporter asked Jackson if he was a Queen fan, he
replied, "I'm a Freddie Mercury fan." The story continued by telling their interactions: “The
band is joyful. Michael is shy, standing quietly in the doorway until Freddie sees him and jumps
in to gather him in a hug.
