But my favourite thing in London isn’t Trafalgar Square or Big Ben – it’s London taxis! That
sounds strange, I know! But I think they’re wonderful and the cab drivers are so nice! London taxis are big and black and there’s a
lot of space in them. You can get six people in them! There’s a little glass door between the passengers and the driver. I think that’s
to protect the driver. Sometimes the passengers are a problem. One driver said that a passenger tried to steal his money last week.
The taxi drivers know everything about London. It’s an enormous city with lots of roads and little streets. The taxi drivers have to
take a special test when they want to be a taxi driver. It’s called ‘The Knowledge’. They have to learn where everything is in
London and all the directions to get there. Our taxi drivers were very clever and also very helpful. They didn’t get lost once! And
even when it was very busy they drove carefully and quickly. I’d like to be a London taxi driver but I think it’s a very difficult job!
