Handwriting

The document provides an outline and overview of a presentation on graphology and graphotherapy. It discusses the psychological meaning behind certain letters like T and Y/G, and recommends techniques for handwriting analysis and modification like increasing the height and length of T-bars, leaving more space in the left margin, bottom margin, and between lines.

INTRODUCTION TO
GRAPHOLOGY &
GRAPHOTHERAPY
“When the character of a person is not clear to me, I look at
their handwriting.”
Efrat Cybulkiewicz

Graphical re-education, also known as grapho-therapy, is a part of

graphology, which aims to skilfully modify different graphical gestures
in a responsive manner to produce certain personality-related changes in
the subconscious state to progress in life and overcome the weaknesses.

Grapho-therpy is also recognized as an interrelated tool to many other

disciplines, with psychology being one among them. It depends on the
rational performance of the universal movements incorporated with
repetitive graphical exercises.

Research carried out on some specific neurological mechanisms by an

American Scientist named Eric Richard Kandel has revealed the
fundamentals of Grapho-therapy and how it can change your life. Much
against your belief, neuronal connections are fully mutable, i.e.,
changeable. The works conducted by Kandel revolve around the study of
memory processes and learning, keeping into consideration ‘the
presumed’ neuronal plasticity reflecting this. He also emphasized the
difference between neuronal elasticity and neuronal plasticity.

Page 3
While neuronal elasticity refers to a temporary change that returns to its
original shape if the cause producing it gets interrupted, neuronal
plasticity refers to a permanent change unalterable even with an
interruption to this cause. Neuronal plasticity involves the presence of a
cause giving birth to a change with an improvement that is expected to
last longer.

Sigmund Freud incorporates the concept of plasticity into memory and

learning mechanisms. Psychoanalysis is based on the concept that every
experience you have in life leaves some marks on your mind. Owing to
the law of reversibility, at the time of modifying the strokes via
repetitive graphical exercises, a certain behavioural change is favoured.
This is because the path from your brain to the sheet is reversible.

5 Changes Discussed in the Session

“t”
Letter T is conformed by a cross that is composed of: A stroke moving from
the top downwards vertically that we call upper extension or stem and the t-
bar, which is the horizontal stroke from left to right.
In graphology, letter T is studied in both strokes.

The stem or upper extension and the bar.

The stem, from the psychological point of view, symbolizes the energy with
which the individual affirms his personality, firmness in conviction,
personal assurance and flow of energy in projects.

The t-bar represents the will with which the individual moves forward upon
the obstacles that are in front of him and the energy used to impose his
personality.

Drawing the bar takes effort and attention. It is a conscious process that
contributes to the legibility of the letter.

T-Bar Height

Graphology Letter T. Progress of the T-Bar

 As discussed in the session, make sure your t bar is as

high as possible.

 Second change is to make the – bar as long as

possible from right to left with same contentious
pressure

 Refer to image below

Page 7
Below is a sample of Thomas Edison’s handwriting,
notice the long t bar!

Page 8
“y & g”
Letters Y and G is go down, below the baseline and thus are very important
for anything related to the subconscious mind and past.

The going down and looping back represents learning from the past,
bringing the recourses from subconscious mind and a good connection
between conscious and subconscious mind.

Below is the image that shows all the forms that most people write in and the
second single letter represents the change discussed in the session.

“Left Margin”
Graphology says the writing on an unruled paper should ideally have one-inch
margin on the left. If the left margin in handwriting is breached, it signifies that the
writer is unable to resolve his past issues and is still struggling with them.

In fact, you will be surprised to know that according to a graphological

calculation, the extent of the breach into the left margin corresponds to the
time when the troubling issues of the present cropped up in the writer’s life.

 If you think you have had a troubled past and

want to make a conscious and subconscious effort

Page

to stay away from it then you must write on a
blank paper and have a good wide left margin.
 Notice the difference in space on left margin in the
image below.
 Line 1 and 2 are much further away and are
preferred as compared to lines 3 and 4.

“Bottom Margin”
If left and right represents past and future I graphology then top and bottom are
equivalent to day and night.

Today’s lifestyle is leading us towards many issuers, one which is lack of sleep.

Having a clear stress free mind at night can help immensely.

 Leaving good (4-5 lines) blank at the bottom of the

page can help immensely.
 Refer to image below

“Spacing Between
Lines ”
 Also if you are going through overthinking or
anxiety it is also adviced to leave good space
between two lines.

 It would look something like below

Leave good space between the lines

So that it can help your mind think clearly

and can reduce stress and anxiety
