POLYMATH ACTIVITY
POLYMATH 2.1
- As time increases, the value of the concentration A (Ca) decreases. While
concentration B (Cb) as the time increases, the concentration also increases.
However, concentration D (Cd) and C (Cc) increases from the start of the
reaction up to approximately 200 seconds of the reaction, but it gradually
decreases as the time increases when it reaches its maximum value.
- In the graph and in the table shown the maximum reaction conversion, X, is
0.999999. In this reaction, as the reactant Ca decreases with respect to time, the
value of conversion increases with respect to time. As the time reaches to
approximately 450 seconds the conversion reaches it maximum value and
remains constant as the time progresses.
POLYMATH 2.2
-
- In this reaction, the reactor volume has a value of 1500 at the start of the reaction
with time at 0 seconds and as the time increases and the reaction progresses the
volume of the reactor increases with respect to time with a final volume of 3450.5
at 500 seconds. As the moles A (Na) with an initial value of 1125 mol as the
reaction progresses the value of mole A(Na) decreases and around the time of
190seconds the mole remains constant with 0 moles. Moles B(Nb) with an initial
value of 0 remain constant and at time roughly around 185 seconds moles Nb
increases progressively as time goes on. While mole c(Nc) , as the reaction
started the value of Nc increases and remains constant at its reached its
maximum value of 1125 at 200 seconds.
- As for this graph, the FCO2 increases rapidly from its initial value of 0 as the
reaction started and as its reach its maximum value of 5.986427. And it slowly
decreases as the reaction progresses and at time 220 seconds the FCO2
remains constant until the reaction finishes.
- In this reaction, the concentration a(Ca) decreases as the reaction progresses. At
200seconds the concentration remains constant as the time progresses. The
concentration b(Cb) remains constant at the time started until 190seconds and it
gradually increases as the time increases. While concentration c (Cc) increases
as the time increases and at 200s the concentration slowly decreases as the
reaction progresses. At the start of the reaction the conversion (X) increases and
as its reach to its maximal value of 1 it remains constant as the reaction
progresses.
POLYMATH 2.3
-
- In the graph above, the concentration a (Ca) decreases and remain constant at
200s as the time progresses. Concentration c(Cc) gradually increases at the start
of the reaction and as it reaches its maxima value it slowly decreases until the
time progresses. Concentration b(Cb) remain constant at the start of the reaction
and at t=190s the concentration gradually increases as the time increases. As
the time progresses the conversion X gradually increases and as it reaches its
maximal point the conversion remain constant as the time increases.
- The initial value of the rate is 0 and as the time progresses the value gradually
increases and as its reach to its maximal value the rate slowly decreases and in
200s the rate remain constant as the time progresses.
