SUMMARY OF LESSONS
1. The Effective learning experience for students in the new normal -
Teachers must be efficient and effective in terms of teaching beacuse teachers has a great impact
on students learning because teachers are primarily the facilitator of learning, the coach and
trainor, guidance counselor, classroom manager and most especially the second parent of the
students.
The continuous learning model are education, experience, environment and exposure. Without
access there can be no learning and without accessibility there is exclusion. Students nowadays
must be tech savvy to cope for the changing environment and learn things using technology.
2. Educational assessment and evaluation for 21st century learners:
We need to look for new proxies or substitutes to our 21st century learners. We need a change in
assessment and evaluation to our new 21st century learners.
Promotion of Outcome-based learning (OBL) Stressed that Student needs to focus in everything in
every educational system , what is essential for all learners to be able to do successfully at the end
of the learning process.
OBL is an educational model in which the curriculum and the pedagogy and the assessment are all
focused on learning outcomes
3. Developing assessment tools for decoding skills of young learners :
BASIC learnings like reading and writing must be taught and learned through teachers because
those were not learned naturally.
We need to develop teacher programs, trainings for teacher to be knowledgeable and effective
teacher. Because To achieve success, literacy is what we.need.
4. Models of blended learning and its approaches :
The educational field has gone through changes in many years. As teachers strived their studens
to Engage to the new learning in deep and meaningful ways, new strategies help them reach these
goals.
Blended learning models represent an innovative way to promote students success. Teachers /
educators try to innovate different strategies , different techniques aNd approaches to cater the
quality of education for learners.
5. Parent involvement: establishing strong home-school connections from start of classes:
We all know that parents involvement is a big challenge especially when the time of pandemic
where online learning was adopted by schools. The challenge s are particularly difficult, the
teachers are unable to provide support to help the learners from difficulties due to pandemic.
Keep the parents involved in their students leaning. Parents must define the difficulties to supply
the needs and difficulties of their children to motivate and support them to avoid being frustrated,
confusion, anxiety and fear.
6. Localization and Contextualization in the K-12 Curriculum
This is part of the K to 12 Curriculum, contextualized curriculum helps the students or learners
learn the language skills by teaching the skills using the authentic context in which the learners
must use in the real world.Contextualization is effective both for community-based and in the work-
based classes. Localization is the freedom for the schools or the local educational authorities to
adopt this curriculum to local conditions relating the content of the curriculum and the process of
teaching and learning to the local environment. Localization means a flexibility in adopting the
program of education for students to local conditions. A crucial failing of education system
worldwide has been lack of relevant in localization.
Localization is the process of adopting and relating the content of the curriculum, and the process
of teaching and learning to local condition, environment and resources. Contextualization is the
process of presenting the lesson in meaningful and relevant context phase on previous
experiments and real life situation. It should be flexible, fit, creative, relevant, meaningful and
adaptive to our learners based on their level of understanding the instruction they need.
Localization and contextualization always go hand in hand.
7. Applying Subject Integration in Lesson Planning ; Maximizing Productivity in this Digital
Age
Good lesson planning is essential to the process of teaching and learning. A teacher who is well
prepared in his or her way to his successful intructional process. Creating a lesson plan or
instructional designing, an importnt aspect for teachers, allow the teachers create learning
objectives to organize and deliver subjects or course content plan and to prepare learning activities
and materials, outlines the type of informal or formal type of assessment to give to the learners.
Successful lesson plan addresses the three key components: learning objectives, learning
activities and assessment to check for student understanding. These three are very important in
lesson planning. Integrating subjects allows us as teachers to skillfully heightened student
engagement and learning by incorporating real world experiences and areas of student interest
into interdisciplinary lessons.if we integrate concepts from different subjects into a new lesson then
it is called integration and it helps in making the lesson more engaging for our kids and increases
their participation. Building a new knowledge on prior knowledge helps children relate to it and
understand it better. Integrating concept of different subjects in one lesson helps us cater to the
interests of all the children . Integrating something of his/her interest in the lesson will not only help
us increase the participation but also help the children become confident when they participate in
the class. We teachers often have this challenge that our children forget what they learn. An
integrated lesson not only makes it engaging and interesting but also helps in revising the previous
concepts which ensures retention of knowledge. And since the purpose of education is nothing but
to make us knowledgeable about the world we live in, the same philosophy should reflect in our
lesson plans too. Teachers are not defined by their lesson plans. They are defined by their
passion.
A&R are very important they are the integral parts of teaching and learning program nd it serves as
the important aspect of the work of the teachers and students.
Assessment & Reporting combine to support students to achieve high standards and to provide the
basis for guiding further learning, as well as it helps a lot in informing parents about their child's
performance and achievement . Assessment refers to all the ways we gather information about the
progress of student's learning.
Assessment should reflect the objectives and criteria and be meaningful and relevant, possible in
the form of test, observations, discussions, performances and projects. Criterion-based
assessment is the assessment criteria are decided when planning the learning and explicitly
communicated to students prior to the assessment's task. The teachers will ensure that all
assessment task including prior knowledge connect with the central idea and all the lines of inquiry.
School-based assessments, the application knowledge of skills or using the HOTS, student's
reflection, participation, it should be based on standards consistent across the different classess
agreed through different knowlegde, concepts, skills, actions and attitudes. A&R is a meaningful
source of information about student's learning. Can be in a form of feedbacks, misconceptions are
corrected. The goal of reporting is to communictae learning, to inform parents about their child's
performance. Student's and parents will received information about student's progress in a timely
and very responsive manner. Ways to provide effective feedback:
1. Feedback should be educative in nature.
2.

emotions , mentality and our social abilities. And one of the most neglected matter that we need to
learn is the spiritual development, this is one of the important keys in life for us to succeed and for
our community to benefit with.
Spiritually was generally viewed as enriching individuals in their understanding of and ability to
relate to others and of society as a whole. It is about the relationships and the values that we consider to
be important, as well as the development of knowledge, concepts, skills and attitudes. We give children
opportunities to: Express personal beliefs and compare views with others, sharing feelings and opinions

12. How to Become Effective Educator Series 1
Although there are many different ways to teach effectively, good instructors have several qualities
in common. They are prepared, set clear and fair expectations, have a positive attitude, are patient
with students, and assess their teaching on a regular basis.
There are 5 pillars to be an effective educator: ACCOUNTABILITY , CURIOUSITY,
TRANSPARENCY, EMPATHY AND LOVE.
To be an effective teacher you don't need the latest technology, the cutest classroom or the newest
outfit. What you need is a passion for learning and the heart to love every student that enters your
classroom.
Effective teaching does not involve presenting your exciting lessons or activities to the class, it is a
craft learned over time. Effective teaching is a teaching philosophy that can distinctly change given
the situation. Effective teachers should always exhibit enthusiasm in the classroom. Enthusiasm
will allow your students to be interested in class discussions and classroom activities. Effective
teachers should speak in expressive ways, not a monotone style. In addition, gestures with arms
and constantly moving around the classroom will allow your students to be interested in the
classroom discussion. Effective teacher should also maintain eye contact with their students at all
times.
