This service manual helps to know more about all washing machines of same category along with
specifications. It also includes the tips for service personnel, safety precautions, tools &
equipment's.
Service Manual is designed for the qualified trained and well-experienced service personnel only.
An inexperienced and unauthorized person should not attempt to make any adjustments or repair
the washing machine as the same may cause damage. Also, in case of new washing machine, it
may lead to warranty becoming null & void. We at Godrej are neither responsible for the wrong
interpretation of this manual nor for any liability in view of its use.
All washing machines need careful handling and a regular maintenance by customer & you, who as
a service provider have additional responsibility of maintaining the washing machine in good
working condition, during its lifetime. Therefore, it is important that before you begin any repair or
diagnosis on the washing machine, please read service manual completely. Also refer to Use &
Care booklet supplied with the washing machine, which talks of remedies to some of the problems
that are not due to the failure of washing machine and operation of various controls, including
various programs.
Variety of information including detailed drawings of various assemblies, reference code nos. along
with the description of spare parts, electric circuit diagrams and the chart for trouble shooting are
enclosed for better understanding of the product and effective after-sales-service to valued
consumers.
Since the specifications and accessories are subject to change without prior notice, please check
the same from time to time.

Please read this manual carefully as it will tell you how to operate, educate
customers & repair machines optimally in order to get the best results. If you
need any further clarifications, do contact your nearest Godrej office. We would

Meeting the customer’s wants will go a long way towards improving satisfaction with quality of after-
sales-service. You the reader as service personnel play a key role in meeting many of the
customer’s want. Some of the important tips are given below for your perusal.
* Greeting the customer in a polite and friendly manner, showing an awareness of the appliance
problem you have come to repair.
* Making skillful diagnosis. Asking the customer for symptoms and zeroing in on the problem to get
facts.
* Using neat work habits and carefully cleaning up after the repair.
* Checking out the Washing machine after repair to make sure it's working properly and that there
aren’t other problems that may soon occur.
* Explaining what went wrong with the Washing machine and what was done to repair it. Not
“talking down” to the customer.
* Explaining the bill and skillfully dealing with any concerns about the charge.
* Giving the customer hints or tips on the use of the Washing machine or on how to avoid future
problems.
REMEMBER: Price is what the customer pays. Value is what the customer receives from the whole
repair experience. Satisfaction with the charge is a function of the price-value relationship. By
meeting the customer’s wants you can increase the value and increase their satisfaction with quality
of service.
To minimize the risk of personal injury or property damage it is important that the following safe
servicing practices be observed.
1) Read carefully the instruction booklet supplied with the Washing machine from time to time. Be
sure you are operating Washing machine properly.
3) Before servicing the Washing machine, UNPLUG the power cord before performing any repairs
or removing any panel. Note Except for electrical & partly mechanical performance testing, none
of repairs require electrical power.
4) Be careful when handling Washing machine rear panel and access panel, parts or any
components, which may, have sharp edges. Avoid placing your hand into any area of the
Washing machine, which can’t first visually be inspected for sharp edges.
5) Always use the correct tools for a job and make sure tools are in good condition. Worn, faulty
and misused tools can cause accidents.
6) Never interfere with or bypass the operation of any switch, component or feature of the Washing
machine.
7) Use only replacement parts of the same size and capacity as per the list of parts. If you have
any questions, contact our branch.
8) When replacing any component, be sure any green ground wires are connected securely in their
original position to avoid danger of shock or short circuit.
9) Before connecting the power supply, make sure no uninstalling wires or terminals are touching
the cabinet. Electrical wiring and all grounds must be correctly reconnected and secured away
from sharp edges, components and moving parts. All panel and covers etc. should be reinstalled
before the Washing machine are plugged in.
10) The line cord must be plugged into a grounded, three-pin plug. Never cut or remove the third
(ground) or top pin from the power cord plug.
11) Do not substitute ordinary wire for any internal wiring of Washing machine. The wire must be
able to carry heavy current and can be subjected to heat. It is very important that all connection
is tight and secure.
12) Make an insulation test, after the Washing machine is repaired, to protect the customer from
being exposed to shock hazards. (Value to be not less than 1M)

How to install
❑ Place the machine on a level ground, if the floor is uneven, place a board underneath and bring
it to a level position.
An unstable location
❑ Can be dangerous since vibrations may cause the machine to move.
❑ Can create noise as the machine may vibrate.
❑ To check if the machine is on a level ground, use a weight attached to a string. The distance
between the string and the machine should be the same from top to bottom.

❑ Cause deformation or discoloration of plastic parts.
This model is provided with castors, which gives you the flexibility
to move the machine to a convenient location. After washing keep
the washing machine at a location free from high humidity and
direct sunlight.
Caution
• Never connect the earth wire to a gas pipe, a water tap pipe,
a phone wire or lighting rod.
• Don’t use the machine if the power plug or cord is damaged.
This may lead to an electric shock or fire.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by qualified person in order to avoid a
hazard.
c) General
❑ Be sure to show all accessories placed inside washing machine.
❑ Explain the features and usage / benefits of the new washing machine.
❑ Inform where and whom to contact for any further assistance.
1. Set the “Selector" to its " Strong/ Regular" wash action position.
2. Connect inlet pipe to wash tub water inlet.
3. Turn on the water tap, let water flow into the tub according to the wash load.
(The marks in tub shows high, medium and low water level.)
4. Add the proper amount of detergent.
5. Put clothes into the wash tub, one article at a time.
6. Switch ON mains.
7. Select the cycle required for washing depending on the quantity of clothes
to be washed the type of fabric and the dirt levels of the clothes.
Refer to page for guidelines on selecting Wash Cycle.
Choose between Regular, Strong by terming the " Selector” knob.
8. Turn the WASH TIMER knob to the desired wash time clockwise,
the washing action will start.
9. A buzzer will indicate the completion of the wash cycle.
10. After washing is completed, drain the water by setting the
“Selector" to the Drain position.
Intermediate Spinning
After the wash cycle, it is suggested that an Intermediate spin cycle with the Spin Shower facility.
This helps remove the detergent solution from clothes and rinsing becomes more effective.
How to Rinse …
After the wash and intermediate spin cycle, use the Rinse cycle. This helps remove detergent from
the clothes and makes them soap-free. Rinsing can be done in two ways:
Note: Intermediate spinning will not start till the Spin Tub
lid is shut. For safety reasons, the machine is provided with
a brake mechanism which gets activated as the spin tub lid
is opened. This safeguard against accidental opening of the
Spin Tub lid when the tub is spinning at a high speed.
➢ Set the spin timer by turning the knob clockwise Choose between 2,3 or 5
minutes depending upon type and no. of clothes.
How to Dry …
➢ Remove washed clothes from the Wash Tub and
transfer clothes uniformly into the Spin Tub as shown in
Fig. The Spin Cap needs to be placed horizontally
above the clothes as shown in Fig. Even in case of a
small lot of clothes, the Spin Cap should be placed
above the clothes. This is a safety requirement. The
clothes and the Spin Cap should be placed as shown in
Fig. Otherwise it could lead to vibrations and cause a
rattling sound during the Dry cycle.
➢ Shut the Inner Spin Tub lid and the Spin Tub lid.
Note: The spinning will not start till the Spin Tub lid is shut. For safety reasons, the
machine is provided with a brake mechanism, which gets activated as the Spin Tub
lid is opened. This safeguard against accidental opening of the Spin Tub lid when the
tub is drying at a

➢ Set the spin time timer by turning the Spin Timer clockwise. Refer to table on guidelines.
➢ Once the set Dry time is over, the timer returns to its original position and spinning
activity stops.

8.Cleaning & Maintenance
2. Clean the filter in the running water to remove all collected lint’s.
3. When all the lint cleaned close the lint filter back. To assemble it into the machine first locate
bottom part of the lint filter & then push it into the direction of the arrow as shown.A click sound
of the latch will confirm that the lint filter if fitted properly.
