Arterial Supply of The Body

The arterial system of the body consists of: 1. The aorta, which begins at the left ventricle and divides into branches that supply the thorax, abdomen and limbs. 2. The pulmonary system, which carries deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs and returns oxygenated blood back to the heart. 3. Multiple named arteries that branch off the aorta and its divisions to supply the head, neck, organs and limbs.
