My name is Shravani Pawar a science student with the stream PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Maths,

and Biology) for my Secondary Education. To introduce myself, I am personally an artistic person- I
am an artist, a sports person, musician and a good student. I can say being an artist, especially a
musician- from an early age introduced me to the greater world of commitment, hard work, it lit
the light of passion and led me to discover who I am and the lengths I would go to for
accomplishing my goals.

My interest in the world of research arose from the idol present at my home; my father. My father
has been in research for more than 26 years now. I have always seen him and it lit the fire to do
something different from what others do. I wished to take a different path instead of running in
the race of the competitive world of doctors and engineers. Listening to what my heart says and
being brave to dream big and find something new, to take a step into making or discovering
something new in the world. The world of marine science lights me up with passion and happiness.
As mentioned by many marine biologists, ocean is our second home which brings us to comfort
and peace of mind. The urge to understand and connect to the marine animals, learn their habitat
runs within my whole body. To bring myself closer to the dream I took the opportunity and
pursued a foundation course for a year in The University of Madeira, Portugal. The University is
situated on an island where it gave the chance to connect to the marine world and see my dream
on the closer hand by taking up small courses like day skipper course, whale and dolphin watching
courses etc. I spend most of my time reading research papers regarding the marine life or looking
up the facts and short courses related to ocean science.

Other than my passion for marine science, I have helped my father in developing health related
products based on his research. This not only gave me an exposure of product designing but also
helped me learn how to put your research in the right use. On the other hand I have explored the
world other than academic one where I have included myself in learning music and sports letting
me give myself the opportunity to have a break from studies. Here I indulge myself in various
sports like volleyball and badminton, or in music where I have learnt the Indian classical form of
music for more than 5 years and also the art styles including mandala art style, string art and resin
art. Music and art are a form of personal therapy for me.

My father helped me unleash these hidden dreams in me but the Bsc degree in the Prestigious
University of …….. will help me pursue this dream and reach the goals I am willing to burn to
achieve. It is a well-balanced course, providing a holistic education on the degree of Biology and
also on the various life skills required from basic principles to well-equipped facilities including
research opportunities and practical’s in the various labs. I am also interested in various other
courses available. The Prestigious University will help me grow as an individual who understands
the biological aspects and one of the basics of the working of this beautiful world we live in. The
course at your university will make it possible for me to connect to the new world I am about to
walk into. The high intellectual level of my teaching faculties, peers and well-designed courses
would support a steady growth. Being accepted into an renowned university like ……………..
guarantees that I will be confident in my education and can launch my career successfully. It would
be insightful learning about various platforms introducing me to the world of marine biology in
these 3 years.
After completing my degree I wish to connect the world of Marine and biology along with medicine
together which are much greater contribution than my personal goals and achievement. I look
forward to doing this by studying and joining hands with various such people like my father who
are trying to do the betterment of this world. This is what see myself do after completing my
education at your esteemed University and seeing myself further in 10 years doing little by little
contributing the efforts and education I earn from the wonderful university. I don’t know what the
future holds in stock for me but I know I can follow my goals and succeed professionally,
flourishing in all aspects of life after receiving the educational training from your acclaimed
institution. I believe my training in various fortes during the course will help me see the world and
earing different skills along with my efforts up skilling them into strengths.

My strong school background and family values have provided me with holistic education and my
confidence gives me the ability to strive for the better.

Ever since a young age, I have been privy to make my own decisions with guidance and support.
Though at times I have failed to achieve some accomplishments due to my soft hearted nature but
I think these qualities will help me survive with everyone working with me and be successful to
achieve our goals together. I firmly believe in helping others even if it might get a downfall cause
further in the future two together can accomplish more than what one single handed can. If given
an opportunity to study at your esteemed university, I would have a successful future with great
academic background providing a strong backbone for my career.
