SCENE ONE: EXT. YERLING – MORNING
(NARRATOR)

SOUNDS: WIND, LEAVES IN THE WIND, A LAKE

FLOWING, PEOPLE CHATTING IN THE
BACKGROUND, BIRDS TWEETING

MUSIC: LIGHT AND MAJESTICAL

NARRATOR: In the town of Yerling, there is a tree.

But this isn’t any normal tree. This
tree makes the town immune to a certain
demon... Every year, the people of
Yerling gather around this tree and each
have their turns to water it with the
special lake water. This is the
estrialfest. Our story begins on the
night before the festival.

SCENE TWO: INT. PINO’S HOUSE – NIGHT

(PINO, PINO’S MUM)

SOUNDS: HARSH WIND, RAIN, THUNDER, FOOTSTEPS,

TREE CRACKING, SHEETS BEING TAKEN OFF
BED, OPENING WINDOW BLINDS, LIGHTNING
STRIKING TREE, DOOR OPENING

PINO: Woahh, that’s a crazy storm. Damnnnn.

PINO: OMG! Did that hit the tree?! It did!

PINO: Mum mum! Wake up, the storm is breaking

the tree!

PINO’S MUM: What are you talking about Pino, that

tree is practically indestructible.

PINO: No seriously! Come look.

SCENE THREE: EXT. YERLING – NIGHT

(PINO, PINO’S MUM, GOVENOR, BYSTANDERS, NARRATOR)

SOUNDS: WIND, PEOPLE TALKING IN BACKGROUND,

FOOTSTEPS, THUNDER, TREE
BREAKING/CREAKING, KNOCKING ON DOOR,
OPENING AND CLOSING OF DOOR, TREE
SNAPPING

PINO’S MUM: Oh my god Pino you were right! It’s

cracking and bending!

BYSTANDERS: (Adlibbed) Omg! It snapped! The tree is

broken!

PINO’S MUM: We need to get the govenor!

PINO’S MUM: Hello? Hello?!

GOVENOR: Ugh I'm too tired for this go back to

bed!

PINO’S MUM: Please come back out! The tree has
fallen!

GOVENOR: What?!

GOVENOR: The tree has fallen!

BYSTANDERS: (Adlibbed) No! What will we do?

PINO: What is the importance of the tree

anyway?

GOVENOR: Well young man...

NARRATOR: It all started around 500 years ago, a

Wizard known by the name ‘Werly Wizard’
was born. He was brought up in Yerling,
and enjoyed all the time that he lived
there for. He loved it there so much
that he planted a tree in the center and
put a spell on it that would give
immunity to the town from a towering
haunting demon that would visit the town
occasionally and try its best to destroy
it! It was never successful though
because the wizard would always be the
one to put his life on the line to
protect everyone else. In his legacy the
people of Yerling every year would
gather around the tree and throw a
celebration for it and keep it alive by
watering it with the magic lake water.

PINO: So where is he now? Can’t he save it and

save us?

GOVENOR: Well that’s the thing, it has been
rumored that he gave his soul to the
demon to be able to leave that spell on
the town. He has been said to have been
seen but no one believes the people who
claim to have seen him. People say the
demon is in the big towering mountain
just south of the town. Either that’s
where the demon is, where the wizard is.
We might need to get someone to find him
to help us. Well..?

PINO: Right, if no one else will, I will.

PINO’s MUM: No Pino! You will not go there!

GOVERNOR: Yeah sorry kid, your mum is right, you

can’t go there, you could be killed
instantly!

PINO: Yeah yeah, alright.

GOVERNOR: Ok well everybody, this will be dealt

with properly tomorrow, but as for
tonight everyone go back to bed!

SCENE FOUR: INT. PINO’S ROOM - NIGHT

(PINO)

SOUNDS: FOOTSTEPS, DOOR SHUTTING

PINO: I don’t care what they say. I want to
save the town. I need to find that
wizard.

SCENE FIVE: INT. PINO’S ROOM – MORNING
(PINO, PINO’S MUM)

SOUNDS: RUMMAGING IN DRAWER, FOOTSTEPS, DOOR

NOISES, BLINDS OPENING, YAWN

PINO: Where is my compass?.. Ah there it is.

PINO: Bye mum, I'm just going out to see Lapel

and Joel, I should be back later today.

PINO’S MUM: Ok, have a good time see you later.

SCENE SIX: EXT. YERLING – MORNING

(PINO, BYSTANDERS)

MUSIC: LIGHT ADVENTUROUS MUSIC

SOUNDS: FOOTSTEPS, WIND

BYSTANDERS: (Adlibbed) Hi Pino! Morning kid. How you

doing Pino?

PINO: HI!.. Morning.. Good thanks Jim!

BYSTANDER: Where you off to Pino? I don’t think

it’s very safe that way out of town.

PINO: I’m just off to see my friend, don’t
worry about me!

SCENE SEVEN: EXT. OUTSIDE OF YERLING – MIDDAY

MUSIC: EERIE SLOW MUSIC

SOUNDS: FOOTSTEPS, CROW SQUAWKS, BUSHES

RUSTLING, WIND, FROG CROACK, FROG
HOPPING, DOOR BELL RING

PINO: I don’t like it here... What’s that in

the bush. AH! Oh.. It’s just a frog. You
are a cute frog. I think I'll name you
Fred. Do you where i am Fred? Ah of
course you can’t talk back to me. Well
I'm just a bit creeped out right now
Fred. I hope I'm going the right way.
Fred, do you see that? Is that a, a
house? Hmmm, seems dodgy to me Fred.
Croak once if i should go in and none if
i shouldn’t.

MUSIC: TENSE BUILD UP

FRED FROG: *Croak*

PINO: I hate you so much Fred. Well, alright i

guess, but you are coming with me. NOO
Fred! Fine, I'll just go without you,
you wuss! *Breathes heavily* Well, here
i go.

SCENE EIGHT: EXT. WERLY MOUNTAIN – MIDDAY

(PINO)

MUSIC: DRAMATIC MUSIC

SOUNDS: MOUNTAIN PERTRUDING FROM GROUND, WIND,

FOOTSTEPS, BAT SCREECHES, CAVE DRIPS,
STONE DROP ON STONE, RUNNNING, QUICK
BREATHS

PINO: Oh. My. God. What the hell just

happened.

PINO: Woahh this goes so deep. Echooo Echooo.

Haha, nice. Ok, wait what did i come in
here for. Oh yeah the wizard!

PINO: Wizardd! Hellooo? Hmm what if the demon

really did get him. Hello? Who is there?

WERLY WIZARD: *Evil demonic laugh*

PINO: No please, don’t come for me demon. I

just want to help.

WERLY WIZARD: Too bad kid, you chose to come here. Now
you will pay the price.

PINO: NO, please. What!1 I thought the wizard

was here. What are you!

WERLY WIZARD: I’m the demon. I took the wizards soul

to myself.

PINO: Wait, wait please. I’m a bit out of
breath.

WERLY WIZARD: Demons don’t wait!

PINO: The tree has fallen! Please all i want

to do it help the town.

WERLY WIZARD: The tree? Has fallen?! HOW!

PINO: There was a storm. And I heard about a

wizard that could help. I just want to
prove to people that I can do something
good.

Werly Wizard: You think I care about your sop story?

PINO: I’m sorry, but please wizard if you are

still in there, I know you loved the
town. Please for the sake of all of us
come out.

WERLY WIZARD: What are you doing to me? Stop this!
