Problem Based Learning

This PBL is to be performed in a group of 7-8 students. (Roll 1 to 7 is Group one and so on)

Part-1 [CLO-1, PLO-1]


Select a residential building (at least 20 Marla assuming 60 x 90 size). The purpose of construction for this
building is to use the ground floor for the owner and first floor for the rent. Drawing should consist of all
necessary elements for a moderate level of drawing. Use locally available materials and geometric constraints.
The following drawings are deliverables of the assignment:
• Architectural Drawings including Plans, Sections and Elevations
• Structural Drawings including beams layouts and cross sections, column layouts and cross sections,
slab reinforcement plan, staircase reinforcement plan etc.
• Plumbing drawings
• Electrical drawings

Part-2 [CLO-2, PLO-1]


All groups will present their PBL and will be graded as per following rubrics criteria:
