Hidden blade plans pdf

Now it's time to become artistic. In this step we will be tool leather bracer to add details and make it more interesting. We will also die skinned and finishing the edges so that they look more polished. Tool leather is a fairly involved process, so do not be afraid to consult more detailed tutorials for more detailed instructions.
Tools - The method I use for tool bracer is a combination of stamped patterns, (background), and leather carving, (Assassin's Creed Logo). Stamping is quite self-explanatory, just put the tool down on the skin and hit it with a hammer to leave an imprint. Leather cutting is a little more involved, for this process you use a
xacto knife to cut your pattern into the surface of the leather, making the cut quite shallow (about 1/3 of the leather thickness). Once you've cut around your pattern, use a tool called a beveler to push down one side of the cut line so that the other side seems to be raised, creating a shallow relief that lets your designs
stick out. To use a beveler tool, place the toe on the tool in the cutting line and hit the tool with the hammer. Every time you hit the tool move it along the line, overlapping your previous hit and then hitting it again. Continue the process of moving, hitting, moving, hitting, moving, hitting, until you have tracked along all the
lines you cut with xacto knife. what you want to be left with are areas that seem to stick out from the background. Note: Bevelers come in many shapes and sizes. For this project I used a B60 Craftool Beveler Stamp from Tandy Leather. Leather Step by Step Sketch or find a pattern the same size as the leather piece you
want to decorate. Place the pattern on top of the skin and use a pin or sd to mark along the lines of the pattern. Use a xacto knife to track the pattern, cutting about 1/3 of leather total thickness. Moisten the skin with warm water. The damp leather is supple and will keep the patterns you stamp into it. Use a beveler tool
and hammer to track along the cut lines and slide the skin down to raise the pattern. When you're done with the Beveler tool, use a stamp tool to fill in the background area. I used the handle end of a butter knife as a piston tool to get hammered texture for my background. Finishing Edges - Finishing the edges
transforms the rough cut edges of the leather into smooth polished edges like the ones you'll find on a fine leather belt. This helps the skin to keep the shape and improves the overall appearance of the support. Apply water on the edge of the skin. Use a smooth piece of wood or plastic to rub (burn) the edge of the skin
until smooth. This technique will give a nice smooth edge, but if you are looking for an even smoother edge, you can rub the edge of the skin with a piece of beeswax. The friction of rubbing will melt the bee's wax into allows for a higher quality finish. (Thanks to Instructables member Jack of Most Trades for this tip).
Dying leather -Dying seals the surface of the leather so that your suspender will look nice for years to come. Leather dye comes in a variety of colors, so choose the color that suits you and the project. For my bracer, I used Fibing's Leather Dye #121 medium brown. As mentioned on the material side, you can buy leather
dye from companies like Tandy Leather. Moisten your skin. Apply a little dye to a clean cloth or applicator. Wipe the dye evenly over the surface of the skin. Wipe excess dye with a clean cloth. Let leather dry. Buff surface using a clean cloth to remove any remaining excess dye and to polish skins. Although you can
become infinitely more technical with the treats, the steps mentioned above, if done well, will result in a quality piece of work. (Note that I ended up removing my snaps halfway through this step and had to reinstall them later. Keep in mind that the snaps can get in the way of your design, so you only install them when
you're ready). The first thing to do is to take apart the drawing slide. On the back there should be some tape that you need to pull off. Where the ribbon was a part that you can slide off, remove it. You don't need these pieces, so you can throw them away. Now you need to separate the slide into the three sections that I
call the Big Slide, slider, and small slide. To do this, expand the slide completely. Once you've done this, you'll notice a notch in the Large Slide that prevents the other pieces from falling out. You need to remove this piece to change each piece. In the photo above you can see where I cut the Large Slide, the angled cuts
are exclusively for aesthetics, so it does not matter if you prefer to cut straight down. Just make sure to keep the hole inside where you cut, so you don't have to drill another one. Once you have removed this notch, you should be able to push each part out. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CONTAINER OR MAGNET TO
CATCH ALL THE BALLS WHEN PUSHING OUT THE SLIDER. Take Large Slide and measure out 9 7/ 8 (if you go with 10 it's not a big deal, I just go with what worked for me the first time). Once you have noticed it go ahead and cut it. Make sure that after all the cuts you grind down the edges to make it smooth.
